"Overall, it was a good location because you could walk to the falls as well as do a day trip to Vik. I think you could skip the museum that's nearby, but overall this is a great location to start your trip if you're coming straight from Reykjavik."

"We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night."

"We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!"

"If there are a lot of luggage, it is not recommended to choose a tent because a little distance must be carried. The public kitchen is fully equipped and clean, and the shower room is a little crowded."

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! "It’s a nice boutique hotel and with welcoming staffs. The food is good esp the curry, excellent. The room size is perfect but the toilet is a bit too small. But well, it’s obvious nth we can do with that."

"We stayed in a little hut which was very cosy and warm even though it was quite cold outside. The hut was equipped with hot water, stove, water boiler and cutlery. Unfortunately no oven but that was totally fine. The location was perfect: a few minutes drive outside Hvollsvollür. Would totally stay there again ＜3"

"The hotel is in a good location, right near the waterfall, and the environment is open and quiet. The hotel is similar to a family-style hotel, with self-check-in, and is very cozy. It is very warm to provide free coffee and chocolate. The room is clean and the bedding is comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Although it was a last-minute reservation, we were very satisfied with the tour and even saw the Northern Lights at midnight."

"Environment: It satisfies all the fantasies of Nordic cabins! But it is more recommended to come with many friends! ! Because it is very suitable for dinner parties!
