"I think this is one of the better, if not, the best JR hotel i stayed at in the last couple of years... i usually will stay at JR hotels in cities that they have a hotel at. This JR Oita blossoms has all the attributes of a perfect hotel... very good hygiene, not a speck of dust or dirt, wonderful service as they know my preferences plus it comes with a wonderful rooftop open air bath area with a view to kill for! Thank you to the team at JR Oita Blossoms for taking care of me!"

"Strategic location, the hotel is about 700-800m from the train station. In Japan it’s known to have a small bed for hotel, but it’s a pleasant surprise to note the bed is bigger than the “norm”. Very comfortable. In the winter/cold temperature, the centralise airconds were all “set” to heater. When we made a “complain” on the stuff/warm room, they are kind to offer a stand fan to put in our room. A big thumb ups for the buffet, a good spread, clean and delicious."

"It was conveniently located near alot if food places and parking spots. Sadly, the hotel's parking was limited to normal sedan vehicles which my rented veh could not park in.
The service staffs were extremely friendly and helpful in guiding me towards another location to park.
Only 1 shortfall was that the shower head outlets were mouldy."

"There are many foreign staff members, but we didn't have any particular problems dealing with them.
There is a height limit in the multi-story parking garage, so the type of car you can use may be limited. If you have a small, maneuverable car, you may not be able to fit it in because cars these days are so tall.
It takes time to get your car out of the garage in the morning, so we recommend going early."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the JR station and the bus terminal. I've stayed at this hotel chain before in Hokkaido, and they consistently offer complimentary late-night noodles from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The hotel also has its own hot spring on the top floor and even provides various flavored ice creams, which the kids absolutely loved. The room was quite spacious with a great wet/dry bathroom separation. Highly recommend!"

"This hotel is a bit far from JR Oita Station, and it can be tiring to walk back and forth if you're using it as a transfer point between Beppu and Yufuin.
It's an older hotel that's been renovated, but the furniture is still old, and the bedding comfort is just average; the duvet was too thick. The room size is quite large for Japan. We specifically booked a room with a sofa bed for our child, but it was small and hard, and our child refused to sleep on it after an hour.
There's a large 24-hour supermarket near the hotel with good prices, which is convenient for buying daily necessities. Across the street is a school, and the Nikko Hotel is not far next door. Oita Art Museum and the pedestrian street are within walking distance."

"Room were ok clean and not that small.
Convenient Stores are next door, breakfast were good.
No smoking area and it needs to be a few hundred metres walk to was a bit frustate for those who need.
If room needed to be cleaned, you need to put the sign in front of your door. Clean and change towel isn't default - they mentioned this as norm in japan but other seems not to be.
I arrived the hotel a little late the parking lot at the hotel were full needs to go up to the front desk and get the map and it's like 5 mins walk from the hotel is a little struggling.
The other day tho I got the parking at hotel makes it much more convenient. You might wanna arrive a little early especially on the first night."

Opened on December 1, 2024! Natural hot spring on the top floor/ All rooms have double beds
"This is my second stay at Natural Hot Spring Ariston Hotel Oita, and it continues to be a comfortable and reliable choice. The natural hot spring remains the highlight—clean, relaxing, and especially soothing after a long day.
Rooms are compact yet well-kept, with comfortable beds and everything needed for a pleasant stay. Cleanliness is consistently good, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and restful. The staff are polite and attentive, making the experience smooth and stress-free.
Its convenient location near Oita Station is another reason I returned, with easy access to restaurants and convenience stores. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, offering a good start to the day.
Overall: A dependable hotel I would happily return to again—great value for money, excellent onsen facilities, and a practical location for both business and leisure stays."

Located in Oita City. Enjoy an outdoor natural onsen in your room at this urban resort hotel
"We stayed in a rock bath, Japanese-style Western-style room. The hotel room is very comfortable and the space is large enough. 2 queen size beds, as well as Japanese-style tatami space. The outdoor style is much larger than the picture, and it is easy to accommodate our two families , and the children soak in the hot spring in the bathroom.
The room is equipped with 2 bathrobes per person, and also provides facial cleanser, moisturizing cream, hair gel and straight hair clips, etc., very intimate!
Have the opportunity to stay at this hotel again!"

From Fugang-＞ Kumamoto-＞ Asu Volcano-＞ Youfuyuan-＞ Because the Beppu Hotel is low cost and then chooses to drive 20 minutes to Dafen. I was afraid of trying and wrong. After all, I got 2 reviews, but I was surprised after the stay. The mini bar has wine and electric beds. Hot spring, large room, high cost performance, suitable for couples to travel by car.

Great location, the hotel is directly in front of a shopping street and next to the hotel was a place with many restaurants. The car park is convinient, you need to pay a small sum for a parking spot managed by the hotel. The staff here are friendly and nice.

Guest UserSince the hall is up and down the stairs, I was wondering what to do with the carry case, but it seems that there is a dedicated elevator for luggage, and the hotel staff took it with me. It was. For other services, the room was clean and fine. However, I thought it would be nice if there was a lace curtain on the window. When I opened a door like a shutter (?), I happened to meet a person walking in the parking lot below ...

After all, it's a business hotel, so the rooms aren't very large, but they have all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel, including a microwave in the lobby, which you can use for free. Of course, the biggest advantage of chain business hotels is their convenient transportation. They're generally very close to JR stations, making travel incredibly convenient. Overall, it's a good choice. I don't have a specific room size requirement, but I'd choose one with ease if it's convenient.

Miyu BirdieOpinions from a female asian solo traveler. Around 10 mins walk from Oita station, acceptable distance to me. Have convenient stores in the area but not many restaurants, better go back to Oita station or Amu plaza oita for food. The front desk is very helpful. The hotel is a bit small and old but very clean and quiet. Particularly appreciate their shower water is hot enough. I stayed on the 4th floor and could hear street sounds occasionally but acceptable. Overall, affordable prices and needs are fulfilled.

chromastarlightLocated just a block or two from JR Oita Station (and mall), it is also adjacent to a large Shōtengai (covered street shopping district), it is surrounded by walkable dining and shopping and is an excellent starting point for deeper explorations of Oita, or even a short day trip up to Beppu by rail, about 20 minutes away, though you don't need to go anywhere to relax features a ground floor onsen as well! The front desk was extremely helpful throughout my stay, and making the usual arrangements was easy. The location is quiet at night but feels connected to the pulse of the city.
