Guest UserFirst of all , one has to know, the pictures they use to advertise have almost nothing to do with what you really get. They advertise nicely decorated rooms, modern remodeled bathrooms, attractive corridors- that is not true. Be prepared to get a super tiny room without AC, remodeled probably 30 years ago as you can see on my pictures. The bathroom was not just outdated, it was as old as hell.
Besides they were in the process of changing floors in the corridors. The room they gave us first was in the area of floor change. So, the floor was covered with glue and was sticky. I lost my shoe while trying to get to the room. After complaining they gave me another room. But my shoes were ruined by glue and dirt and I had to buy new ones next day!
To be fare, on the good side is the breakfast, which was good.

Recently stayed at Scandic Malmo City Hotel and the experience was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home. The hotel’s location is ideal—quiet yet close to the city’s main attractions and charming streets.
The room was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. They also have a laundry room facility for free.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Malmo. I will definitely return on my next trip!

Apeng1006This is my second stay.
I booked a standard single room, which is very large and on the 5th floor!
The hotel provides breakfast and dinner with a wide variety of options. If you come to Malmö, it is worth staying!

Anonymous UserIt was a comfortable stay and better what we thought it would be. The hotel also had a gym with sauna which was a bonus!
The location is good and right beside a mall as well as shops and cafes all around. It is also quite near the bus stop. The receptionists were also really helpful and nice. They also have a luggage storage room at the side to keep after checkout.

DongXiaoThe hotel's location is really central; shopping and supermarkets are nearby, and there are many great restaurants within a 30-minute walk. I highly recommend this place and might even come back a second time. The hotel staff are very friendly.
The only downside is the lack of air conditioning. It was quite hot, and there was only a fan. If you open the window at night, it can be very noisy with motorcycles, so you have to sleep with the windows closed.

It's a relatively small hotel, but the overall service was alright. I mainly came to watch table tennis, and the breakfast was just average. Overall, it's a clean and tidy budget hotel, so it's acceptable.

Dive travelerThe hotel is good considering the moderate pricing for Sweden, breakfast is also nice and offers multiple choices! The hotel combines a building of the 1980irs with some of middle age. The hotel has a a parking lot in an underground garage, but although directly under the hotel the elevator does not reach to the parking lot and you need to take the stairs from the lobby. The parking fee is 200 Crowns and it adds substantially to the moderate pricing! The room was pretty large but only had dim light. Unfortunately, the heating control did not work properly. The radiator was all time cold and when we told the reception they said it’s because of the old building. However, they brought us an electrical fan. After some time of using it the fuse was blown up. I didn’t want to complain any more… I think the hotel needs to fix something for guests in the winter time!

Guest UserWe took this room which was the 'Presidential Suite' as it was similarly priced with other hotels' standard rooms in the area. It was close to the train station; easy walk although on partially cobblestone walkways. Ensure that you have the code for getting into the hotel if you are arriving late. Room is big and there is elevator access.
Amenities- wise- The fridge could not be switched on on the first day and after reporting it, it was fixed but then it started beeping on the second day so we had to unplug it. One compliment will be for the staff (female, sorry- can't remember the name) who made available the microwave oven for our room as we had mistakenly thought that the room came with it. Thank you!
BAD!- Delay in refund- I had booked this hotel via trip.com and had already paid trip.com before arriving at the hotel. However, after doing online check-in as requested by the hotel, which required the credit card details, the hotel did a payment deduction also. Up to today, more than a week after the stay and numerous email and Whatsapp messages between the hotel, trip.com and I, the money is still not refunded. I wished it could have been settled before this review so that I can write positively about the stay.

小犇女I booked this hotel because I was watching a game at Malmö Arena. It's only a 3-4 minute walk to the venue, and 1 minute to the 24H McDonald's at the train station.
I stayed here last year too. The rooms are clean, but it's a typical European 3-star/4-star hotel – very basic with nothing much provided. Housekeeping needs to be specially requested, and you have to go to the front desk for refills of towels and tissues.
I used to think their breakfast was good, but this year, it was the exact same for four days. Only one dish changed over the four days.

We had a disabled room. It was a little bigger and comfortable. Unfortunately, AC missed and it could become very hot. We had a view to the grand square and there people gather kl.03 at night when the exhibits close. It's getting quite noisy because it was so hot in the room that we have to sleep with windows open. It was taxi cars there and after 20-25 minutes it became empty and quiet again. But the location fine, staff nice, rooms clean and breakfast good. So it was a good experience overall.
