"It's been a while since I last visited Iwaki. I hadn't visited Yumoto Onsen before, so I was looking for a place to stay with high hopes. Fuki no Yu seemed to have good reviews, so I booked online. As this was a former coal mining town, the hot springs have a faint sulfurous smell, creating a wonderful atmosphere. It's not too strong, which is nice, as the smell doesn't transfer to clothes. Being an Iwaki inn near the sea, the seafood was delicious. The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) had shellfish in it, which was also delicious. The bath was open and also great. The staff were very friendly, and my family and I were able to relax in comfort. I found this inn, which may just be the catalyst for my love for Yumoto Onsen."
