Nyaika Hotel ★★★
Lodge Bellavista ★★★
"We spent a weekend at Bella Vista. Fantastic place. Beautiful scenery and views. The customer service is excellent and the proprietor is very hospitable! The swimming pool is icing on the cake. Thank you."
Kemrose ★★★
"Staying at Kemrose was an absolute treat! The hotel is super modern, stylish, and built to top-notch Western standards, so everything feels comfy and high-end. The staff were beyond friendly — so warm and professional, making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. And the food? Absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully served. But what really blew us away was how Kemrose pulled off a last-minute gorilla safari for us. We thought it’d be impossible on such short notice, but they made it happen, and it was hands down one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives! We also explored stunning crater lakes and went on epic hikes through breathtaking landscapes, even checking out natural hot springs. Kemrose isn’t just a hotel—it’s your luxury base and gateway to some of Uganda’s most incredible sights and adventures. We’ll definitely be back!"
KAIJE COUNTRY COTTAGES ★★★
Fort Motel ★★★★
"The place is very near to the city and I used Google map and reached very well so I can conclude by saying the place is too close to fortportal city from Mbanga Market is like 800m"
Crater Safari Lodge ★★★★
"I had a wonderful stay with the 12 ladies I brought along for our Rwanda & Uganda trip. The lodge is in a stunning location, overlooking Crater Lake. The pictures truly can't capture the beauty of the view – it’s simply breathtaking. I recommend booking a room near the restaurant, as I believe those offer the best views. The room was spacious, and the shower had warm water with great pressure (which isn’t always guaranteed in Africa!). We really appreciated the complimentary laundry service after our hikes. Manager Musa was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist us. We even drank all the white wine during our women’s trip, and Musa managed to restock it for us the next day! Every evening, we had aperitives by the bonfire before dinner. We were the only guests, which made our experience even more special, as we had the whole lodge to ourselves. What a lovely memory – we truly want to come back! We spent three nights here, but we could have easily stayed for a week. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, like chimpanzee trekking, swamp hikes, cultural tours, and boat trips on the crater lake. I definitely recommend this place – try to stay a few extra days to truly enjoy it."
Rwenzori Luxury Suites & Residence ★★★
""Enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay. The room was immaculate with great views, the check-in process was seamless, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area for a peaceful retreat.""
Dutchess Hotel and Restaurant ★★★★
"The food is consistently excellent and reasonably priced. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. I'm always impressed with the spirit of the people who work at Dutchess and their committment to quality."
Koi Koi, Fort Portal ★★★
"The good - the rooms are clean, the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The location is ideal - close to fortportal and most attractions. The bad - the service and the food is poor. For breakfast, we were service Chapati, potatoes and bread. Heavy on starch and limited healthy options despite fortportal being a basket of healthy food. The garden is full of all kinds of herbs but plain water and a tea bag were what was offered for tea. The following day, we were served raw pineapples. There’s need for a more diverse team in management as hotel and restaurant is run by males. Perhaps this explains the lack of attention to detail and client service. The manager is hardly available to interact with and meet guests. I also noticed that the owners only respond to positive reviews and do not address reviews that call for improvement. Despite the calm and serene location, we shall not be returning to KoiKoi."

"We have be coming here for the past 12 years and the Ruwenzori View remains our Ugandan home from home. Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, great home cooking, lovely garden full of birds. Definitely good value for money. We recommend it to all our colleagues travelling to Fort Portal."
