"Lower than basic level, outdated hotel waaaay below usual Sokos Hotels average. Contacted the hotel beforehand and asked for a room with a tub. Got a reply saying the hotel will try and arrange this. Didn’t happen – the room had a shower. When I returned to rec. to ask about tub the receptionist replied straight up that ”unfortunately all tub rooms were full!” Like they would know and remember this detail just like that! The basic level room had no mini fridge, the shower tap was from the 80’ies (because I had one just like it in my childhood home!), shower tiles and groutes were covered in brown dirt, pillows were mushy, the arm chair was dusty. A total joke were those Lumene brand shampoo and conditioner bottles that had been refilled with some cheap not-even-close-product! To be frank: I am amazed they still keep this place as it only weakens the current brand."

"All right, simply but well furnished. The reception has closed at 15 p.m. The procedure described how to get to the hotel despite the closed reception has changed completely. Unfortunately, this was not communicated. We have been waiting for a message with the code all the time. We called the telephone number on the reception but no one called. We found that you had to pick up the room card at the reception of the hotel Kajanus. There is also breakfast served, walking about 15 minutes, with the car 6 minutes, all up to 9:00. We got the code card handed over and a plan to come into the house. Unfortunately, the code card did not fit into the door indicated on the notebook. Other door tries, which then worked. Then you had to walk through several walks in the house and then came to the hotel room. If it was not all so bad if it was communicated accordingly. All just because nobody is there in the secondary season. I was very strange how to deal with customers here, however, it was very irritant. The reception at Hotel Kajanus didn't care a little when I complained about it next morning at breakfast. In the house with our hotel room there is a kitchen with microwave, dish, dish, dish, refrigerator etc, quite unappetited however. In the room there is also a refrigerator and coffee/tea preparation. Breakfast in the hotel Kajanus very ordinary, good choice of coffee very good. If everything would work, the Karolineburg would have deserved 4 stars, but not"
