Mantinia Bay Hotel

"Nice modern hotel in a great beach area with large rooms and nicely appointed with a little balcony. We had a view of the pool on the first floor which was nice. Check in was quick and pleasant. You get a sheet at check in to order your breakfast the next day and call the morning of and they will deliver it to either your room, by the pool or on the upper terrace. The choices are the usual ones but plentiful and very good. The beach is right across the street and they have beach chairs and umbrellas free of charge for you to use but there are not that many so get there early. We watched the sunset on the beach last night and it was beautiful. Lots of restaurants on that strip to,choose from although the hotel has this own little restaurant in the hotel or you can walk across the street and have a gorgeous view. Had their Mango Passion milkshake which was just okay. I think it was a nice choice for the money and would recommend it. They also sell olive oil, wine, pastas, etc in the lobby and are pretty reasonable. "

"Such a nice little stay in Kalamata! The staff was the highlight, absolutely above and beyond, we were greeted at every entrance and they were very attentive and helpful with anything we needed, they even gifted us some cookies and olive oil for Christmas! It’s centrally located, less than a 10 min walk to the port and beach, and about 15 min to the city center. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy, they have a breakfast in the morning that is amazing! I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Kalamata!"

Comfy Boutique Hotel

"Stayed for 4 nights using it as a base to visit Sparta, Mystra & other local historical sites. Very well located a 5 minute walk from the seafront, and a 20 minute fairly pleasant walk into the town centre, the room was spacious and clean with a balcony, there was plenty of available free parking in the side street next to the hotel. Breakfast was typical of the hotels we stayed in in Greece, fairly basic but plenty of coffee & fresh orange juice. Staff were helpful and friendly. I didn't use the rooftop pool, but I did have a look and it was quite nice and clean."

Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa

"Nice and modern hotel with good breakfast, but not 5*... cheap toiletries and single use plastic items in the rooms; rooms overall basic and no robes. Pool area is cozy, but opens late (11 am). The sea never closes though and the beach is just in front of the property. Staff very kind and helpful. Easy to park at the premises. Walking distance to marina of Kalamata, but a bit too far to reach the old town - car is recommended. Very reasonable and good restaurant is also available on premises."
