PowaluodichideguoThis newly opened downtown hotel, built in 2025, is a gem! It's just a 3-minute walk to Kunming Old Street, Shuncheng, and Jinma Biji Archway. Plus, there are tons of amazing food options nearby, making it the perfect base for any food-loving adventurer.
The entire room features smart controls, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. While the hairdryer isn't a Dyson, the Laifen is still excellent. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival, and the minibar is entirely free.
The concierge was proactive in helping with our luggage, and the views from our 28th-floor room, overlooking the city lights at night, were stunning. The 24-hour gym is a huge plus, allowing me to work out whenever I wanted – a truly thoughtful amenity.
Many star-rated hotels are still stuck with traditional satellite TV, so it was a delight to find that this one offers screen mirroring that works seamlessly. The smart entertainment system is a standout feature, and I give it a big thumbs up! (*≧∪≦)👍🏻
Now, let's talk about breakfast: The selection of Chinese and Western dishes is extensive, including many authentic Yunnan specialties. The rare pea flour, kumiss, five-color glutinous rice, and flower cakes were all outstanding and delicious. My only regret is not getting to try the Eggs Benedict – a slight disappointment.
The restaurant service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, proactively guiding us to our table. They even offered coffee to go, cleared plates promptly, and provided warm and thorough service throughout. This truly enhanced my experience.
Justin Liu deserves a special mention for his proactive enthusiasm and prompt responses. Five stars!

Guest UserAs a layover from Kunming South Station, this Sheraton wasn't particularly close, nor did it offer shuttle services like other hotels, and the price wasn't much of an advantage. But drawn by the Marriott Group and the Sheraton brand, I still chose to stay here.
Let me state some objective facts.
Mid-2026 has already passed, yet the hotel's decorations, from the lobby to the restaurant, still exude a 'Happy New Year' festive atmosphere.
The lobby had complimentary fresh flowers, and you could pick a vase to take to your room. However, the flowers weren't very fresh to begin with, and after one night, they all wilted. Fresh flowers are meant to provide emotional value, and Kunming's biggest advantage is its flowers; the hotel shouldn't be short on this budget. If they're not fresh, I suggest removing them and only displaying them when they are.
The hotel is across from a hospital, and our room faced it, so we could hear ambulance sirens, which is understandable. But typically, a hotel restaurant is in the location with the best view. Yet, waking up to eat breakfast facing a hospital… you can imagine.
We booked connecting rooms. The twin room had a large bathroom with a bathtub. The king room had a shower, was a bit smaller, with a shower curtain above but no barrier below, so the floor was all wet after showering.
Upon arrival, the outdoor parking lot wasn't large. We were later told it was under renovation. The underground parking lot wasn't very bright either, with tight turning angles. Our car is quite large, so it was a bit challenging.

Guest UserStayed one night at the Four Points by Sheraton near Kunming airport on my way back to Chengdu. The hotel is brand new and exceptionally clean. The staff even upgraded my room, which I really appreciated 😊. Breakfast on the first floor was also very rich and they offer airport shuttle services. What impressed me most was the hotel staff – they were absolutely wonderful. If I get the chance to visit Kunming again, I'll definitely choose this Sheraton.

Guest UserFinally checked in to this Sheraton, and overall, it really delivered on all fronts. The lobby design is simple yet grand, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Monica at the front desk was super efficient, and her attitude was gentle and thoughtful. The guest room was cleaned meticulously, with no strange odors at all. I especially want to praise the Four Points Comfort Bed – the mattress was just the right firmness, and the pillows were perfectly comfortable. The soundproofing was excellent; I couldn't hear any outside noise whatsoever. The breakfast buffet was incredibly generous, with everything from Chinese steamed dim sum and Western pastries to freshly made beef brisket noodles and fresh fruit. The staff even proactively refilled coffee and tea. The 24-hour laundry room and gym are incredibly practical, and the brand's quality is evident in every detail. It’s perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. I've already saved this place and will definitely be staying here again next time.
