"Perfect stay with sea view – 3 nights like a week holiday We were from 15.–18. April 2026 at Hotel Geranio au Lac and can only say: an absolute full hit! Our room on the 6th floor was beautiful – with a view that you would like to frame. However, we keep the room number for us... otherwise it is guaranteed booked next time 😉. We also want to highlight the cleanliness – really TOP, here is absolutely nothing to challenge. The breakfast buffet was unfair: always fresh, lovely presented and it was continuously dressed – so the start in the day makes great pleasure. Specially enthusiastic we were 24/7-Kaffeemaschine. A coffee at 6:30 p.m., without having to wait for the breakfast opening? That's our style! The friendliness at the reception and in the breakfast room was constantly top – you feel just welcome. Our dog was also warmly welcome, and CHF 19.– per day we find absolutely fair. Another plus point: the nearby parking house with special conditions – uncomplicated and practical. If you want to criticise something (you really need to look for), then there are two small points: The loading of the baggage directly in front of the hotel is a little complicated, since there are little stop options – here is a little coordination required. In summer it could become a little more lively thanks to the many restaurants and bars around –, with exactly this of course also its charm. Concluded: We're very happy to come back – perhaps even back to the ”secret” room on the 6th floor"

"I stayed for 2 nights. I really enjoyed it. I was in a twin room. The first night I was alone, and on the second night they assigned a nice girl as my roommate. Breakfast was quite good, so I didn’t need to eat anywhere else in the morning. The room was clean and tidy. Downstairs, there was a room with lockers that can be locked. I also recommend getting the Ticino Ticket at the reception desk – it allows you to travel around the canton for free and gives you various discounts for museums and boat rides 🥰"

"Check-in and check-out friendly, very fast and uncomplicated. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and large enough. Big balcony with table, chairs and bedroom. Coffee machines with ingredients, water cookers and two fake water in the room. The location is quite central and directly on the lake. In 5-10 minutes you are in the centre of Locarno. The friendliness of the staff is generally OK. The pool is beautifully integrated in the garden, but the pool is something unclean, milk and not clear. In the whole, however, a good hotel. "

"after baddest experience with ibis, I must admit this is a very nice hotel, just 5min walk from the train slation, just a little higher up, offering a nice view of the lake even from lateral hotel windows. modern ambiente, upgraded facilities, comfy lobby and fast WiFi, will chose this again in march."

"Cooles Hotel unweit vom Locarno oder Lugano. Stylishe Zimmer. Freundliches Personal. Cooler Pool und Spa. Zu klein leider. Matrazen haben Potenzial. Beim Frühstück sollten die Spiegeleier frisch gemacht werden, damit diese boch warm sind. Poolbar ist cool und verleiht Ferienfeeling. Gleich am Bahnhof Riazzino gelegen - was praktisch ist."

"Splendid hotel with a breathtaking view of the lake, impeccable service from the receptionist, the staff are courteous and the manager of the establishment is very friendly. I recommend this magnificent hotel and I will gladly return 👍🏻."

"Wir sind als Ehepaar gereist und haben die Tage im Hotel Belvedere und im Tessin genossen. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr fein. Auch das tägliche Frühstück war gut. Mit der Größe des Zimmers und der Austattung waren wir zufrieden. Ein Punkt der nicht ok war, ist dass wir am Sonntag Morgen um 08h00 kein heisses Wasser zum Duschen hatten. Diesen kleinen Fehler haben wir im Hotel nicht gemeldet, da es später wieder Warmes Wasser hatte."
