Mackay Oceanside Central Hotel Official ★★★★
"Really clean room, great welcome from reception staff, great for one night stay. About a 20 minute walk into town, easy walk all flat."
Oaks Mackay Carlyle Suites ★★★★
"Staff were very welcoming, phoned after I had settled to ensure all was well. On entering the room, it was so clean, smelled lovely and they had the fan and music playing. Felt right at home. Great shampoo, soap etc. Easy walk to where I had meetings."
ibis Mackay ★★★★
"Convent to airport"
Coral Cay Resort ★★★★
"Stopped over for a night during my trip. Parking was easy, it was quiet, and the environment and cleanliness were all pretty standard. There are places to eat within a few minutes' drive. I didn't go out after checking in at night, so I didn't really get a full impression."
Mid City Motor Inn ★★★
"Rooms clean and modern even thought he external face of building is dated the room re clean and contemporary. Front desk officer a bit rude - but only one interaction . No problem to stay here again - good central location next to river and easy walk to shopping ,mall and restaurant."
Rydges Mackay Suites ★★★★
"Absolute pleasure staying here. All boxes ticked. Showers were on point, the restaurant down stairs was absolutely Devine. Definitely worth eating at."
Sun Plaza Motel - Mackay ★★★
"Payment was a bit difficult since they wouldn't automatically deduct the money from the card, and also the front desk closes at 18:30 already. Since we checked in after that, I had to try to figure out a way to communicate with the front desk and figure out their email address. In the end everything worked but it was a very complicated process. The room was very frugal a bit run down and the blanket was too thin. If you're looking for someone cheap it's fine, but better not take a pretty girl there."
Mantra Mackay ★★★★
"Beautiful view …. Amazing staff thanks for my stay in your hotel"
Quest Mackay on Gordon ★★★★
"Clean and tidy kind staff"

Pacific Sands Apartments Mackay
"We got a king bed which was 2 singles pushed together. The room was clean but we had cigarette smoke smell coming from the other room. All of our clean clothes in our bag smelled like smoke. There was a microwave, plates, small bowls, cutlery, coffee, tea, salt & pepper packets which was great. Packet dishwashing liquid and washing powder, tea towel and a chucks towel. The fridge/freezer was really dirty, frozen over and tiny. Couldn’t fit a tub of ice cream. Other than that there was a kettle, hair dryer and iron. We went to the pool area to have a look, there was a bbq, and amenities. It was cold so we didn’t swim. Maybe a shared fridge freezer would be nice so we can put our ice cream. The hotel is away from the city but there was parking and with a vehicle, it was no worries. I have stayed before in a bigger unit which was nice, but I don’t think I will book the smaller unit again."
