Azur Hotel Volos

Azur Hotel Volos

📍 Ag. Nikolaou 3, Volos
★★★★ 9.1 (43 reviews)

"We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was a lovely stay. Our suite on the 6th floor was spacious and clean, with a balcony offering a partial sea view. The bathroom was also large and clean, with plenty of toiletries. There was a refrigerator stocked with water and coffee and tea making facilities. The breakfast room isn't large, but it's adequate. The buffet includes both local specialties and international dishes – a good selection with something for everyone. The location is excellent for both a trip to Pelion and for catching the ferry."

Magnes Hotel

Magnes Hotel

📍 El. Venizelou 97, Volos
★★★★ 9.5 (34 reviews)

"Easy access, free parking in the basement, excellent service, friendly stuff, quality restaurant and bar. The room was quiet, we didn't hear any noise from the next door rooms. It was a very pleasant experience, highly recommended if you plan to visit the city of Volos."

Hotel Hani Zisi

Hotel Hani Zisi

📍 Hania, Hania
★★ 8.6 (1 reviews)

"Unfortunately, there was a big problem with the fireplace. In the hour that I was able to sit down (because I assumed it was something temporary), I found that the entire 1st floor had a big problem, since it was leaking smoke! When I asked the hotel if there was another room that wasn't leaking, the answer was negative, and the reason for the problem was that it was leaking because "wind is blowing and we can't do anything about it"!!!! Unfortunately for the hotel managers, I work for a technical company and have (also) worked on chimney installations. Therefore, I know that when the chimney is leaking smoke, it's not the wind's fault! Quite simply, either the construction is wrong or the chimney has not been maintained. Too bad, because the place seemed to be about the same as the photos, even if the room (triple) needed a renovation, while the tavern outside looked amazing. I say it seemed because I didn't sit down to eat, of course. Finally, the manager, in addition to writing me down in a place where ink doesn't get caught in my remarks about the tobacco, almost shouted at me (classic behavior of a Greek "businessman" when he doesn't need the customer) because I told him that I would delay leaving a little until I found another place to stay. And because I didn't want to "poison" (literally, because I have respiratory problems, and figuratively) my vacation any more, I got up and left. My "poisoning" cost me an overnight stay, as is also provided for by the hotel's policy. I was expecting something better because of the inconvenience, since I finally found somewhere to stay in the afternoon, and not in the mountains of course, but we said, it was August 15th and they didn't need us, so..."

Valeni Boutique Hotel & Spa

Valeni Boutique Hotel & Spa

📍 Regional Road Volou - Portarias, Portaria
★★★★ 9.1 (5 reviews)

"My family and I were at the hotel for a happy occasion of Christening of a close friend's child. The place is tranquil, and personnel are ready to help and assist. Rooms are well equipped with coffee & tea equipment, plenty of towels. Spa offers a variety of massages and different procedures."

Empress Luxury Residences

Empress Luxury Residences

📍 Filellinon 66, Volos
★★★ 9.6 (8 reviews)

"Empress Luxury Residences is very comfortable and clean and perfectly decorated with all modern comforts, a new construction, relatively close to the city centre but at the same time in a quiet place, and we have not had any difficulty in parking. I'm sure I'll choose it again in my stay at Volo."

1910 Lifestyle Hotel

1910 Lifestyle Hotel

📍 & 54th Sintagmatos Elas, Dimitriados 25, Volos
★★★★ 9.3 (41 reviews)

"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10 minute walk from the port. The room is small but clean and tidy. Breakfast is good, and the view is excellent. I booked a sea-view room, which indeed offers a nice sea view, but it is also next to the road, so it can be a bit noisy at night."

Domotel Xenia Volos

Domotel Xenia Volos

📍 Plastira 1, Volos
★★★★★ 8.7 (39 reviews)

"We had a lovely spacious sea facing room with a balcony. Beware that the city facing rooms looked very small. We were on the 3rd floor and there is a terrific rooftop open-air bar on the same floor. An excellent breakfast was included and it’s a half mile/one kilometer walk to the marina/downtown area. I highly recommend it if you’re in Volos!"

Gastronomy Hotel Kritsa

Gastronomy Hotel Kritsa

📍 CENTRAL SQUARE, Portaria
★★★ 9.3 (7 reviews)

"Needing to catch an early ferry from Volos and not finding anything suitable in town, we decided to stay at Hotel Kritsa in Portaria having seen other good reviews online. We were not disappointed! The hotel and restaurant are nestled on the main square in the centre of the village. Our room was comfortably furnished with a little balcony overlooking the square. We had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and air-conditioning (a must when temperatures are in the late 30s) The staff were really friendly especially Elein and we ate at the restaurant in the evening. Food was fantastic. With a very early start we didn’t get to sample the breakfast which everyone raves about however they kindly made up a pack-up for us. Great value and a lovely hotel"

Pilio Sea Horizon Hotel

Pilio Sea Horizon Hotel

📍 Tsagkarada, Mouresi
★★★★ 8.4 (5 reviews)

"It was a great vocation for us. The view and beaches are incredible. Room was a authentic style stone building. we found a comfort in our room. The hotel manager is a very kind man we would like to thanks for the hospitality and the staffs are kind and always helpful. we were near the pool. our kid went to pool whenever he wanted. The nearest beach milopotamos is 2.5 km away (it has 2 restaurants and 2 cafes) and a furthest beach papa nero (many restaurants and cafes) is 20 km away. beach and a crystal clear water is amazing. To reach the hotel you have to pass 50 km mountain road and it takes about 2 hours. this is the most annoying thing. roads are narrow and hard to drive. you have to drive slowly. the worst thing in our holiday was the curvy narrow roads. other than that it was a great experience for us. we would like to go there again."

Palladio Hotel - Portaria Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Palladio Hotel - Portaria

"The room was awful when you entered the room.Of the five rooms only in one had towels, so we could get us to the rest of their rooms we asked for it three times and they finally brought them in the evening. The worst was that they did not turn on the heating, and in the rooms the temperature barely reached 18 degrees (then they closed the heating and fell to 16). Every 2-3 hours we had the time to look for the person responsible to do something with the burner that didn't work (even at 4 o'clock we were looking to turn on the heating so we wouldn't freeze). You understand that in a mountain destination and indeed in winter this is a big problem; the score with 1 star is done because there is no 0 (or even less)."

Agapitos Villas is the perfect place to sit back and relax and let the hotel staff give you a threat. We can recommend the hotel to anyone who is in for some excellent holidays. We look forward to go back."

Hotel Pelion Resort Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Hotel Pelion Resort

"Just a one-night stay, but I was impressed by the courtesy and welcoming of the staff. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The hotel is mostly made up of two-storey houses built on a hill overlooking the city of Volos with nice pathways and a swimming pool and bar in the middle. Although it was almost fully-booked, the peace and quiet was overwhelming at night. Short distance from Portaria main square, take your car there if you cannot handle the steep 15-minute walk."

Palladio Hotel Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Palladio Hotel

"A nice, preserved set of 19th century traditional decoration in the countryside and in the rooms without excess.Delicious breakfast with fresh panther's cakes.Beautiful courtyard and a rooftop to enjoy a coffee and a bathtub. In our time, it is perfect. Value for money. I'll stay there again if I go back to the clay."

Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Manthos Mountain Resort & Spa

"If you are looking for a destination that combines comfort, hospitality and natural beauty, then Manthos Hotels Mountain Resort & Spa in Pelion is an ideal choice. Our stay there was extremely pleasant and unforgettable. From the first moment we distinguished the warmth and kindness of the staff. Everyone was helpful and willing to help us with our every need, making us feel at home. Special mention deserves Mrs. Kiki at the reception, who was always available, with a smile and a real desire to serve. Our room was clean, comfortable and offered peace and relaxation. The breakfast was rich and tasty, with a variety of options that satisfy all tastes. In the restaurant, Mr. Grigoris stood out for his professionalism and kindness, as did all the staff, who contributed to our beautiful experience. We would like to warmly thank everyone for the hospitality and say with certainty that we will return! Manthos Hotels is a jewel in Pelion that is worth visiting."

"Very good looking room, very clean, great staff, and a very cozy Christmas environment; what else could you ask for around December? The lobby is a place to have a seat and enjoy a book or in case you have to work, take your laptop/tablet and be productive. They also have a great breakfast!"

Volos Inn Hotel Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Volos Inn Hotel

"Friendly staff. Very clean and modern look with full amenities packages. Close to Volos’s port and centre, by walking distance. Delicious breakfast."

Tasia Mountain Hotel Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Tasia Mountain Hotel

"The hotel was centrally located for visiting both the east and west coasts of the northern area of the Pelion peninsula, (an area known for its winding roads which take a long time to get around). It was also spotlessly clean & comfortable and the breakfast superb. However, what makes this hotel really special is the warm, family atmosphere created by Anastasia who does everything she can to make your stay extra special. We would give her 15 out of 10 if we could! There is nothing to dislike but customers should be aware that out of season, there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity and we therefore profited from Anastasia's snack menu each evening."

Portaria Hotel Hotels in Magnesia Prefecture

Portaria Hotel

"The hotel is located just 5-10 minutes walk above the lovely village of Portaria. From most of the rooms you have a splendid view over the bay and city of Volos which can be accessed only by car in about 30 minutes along a windy but scenic road. The hotel is divided into several houses with no central hallway. Therefore you have to walk along the parking site in front of the hotel in order to access the wellness area. Swimming pool and fitness room cost an extra charge of 15,- EUR per day and sauna another 10,- EUR per person on top. Therefore we never saw people using it and this seems to be intended. We had a spacious junior suite with our own fire place. But when we lit the fire, the whole room was full of smoke despite a closed glas fire door. It seemed that others had the same problem since the room smelled already smoky on the day of our arrival. The personnel at the reception seems not be prepared for foreigners even though they spoke English quite reasonably. Different people were not very helpful and we always had the impression that they were glad when we did not bother them with questions. One highlight was the breakfast with a wide variety of fruit, bread, cake, cereals, cheese, omelette, sausages, fresh pressed orange juice, mountain tea etc."

"We visited the city for a couple of days. We chose Azur because it's located on a great spot, close to all places of interest. The hotel is recently renovated so everything is brandnew and working. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel manager was one of a kind and upgraded our room. Our room was superclean, spacious, with a supercomfy bed and couch and it was very enjoyable to stay in. We had a great time and we will definitely visit again!"

"First of all, this is a new hotel and of course there will be space for improvement such is in the breakfast, which was good enough for me but can get some improvements, and minor details that must be handled by the manager. Overall i had a great experience and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The value for the price and what this hotel offers is really good, cozy cafe, parking space, modern rooms and clean. Suggesting you to have a visit."

"Wonderful accommodation! The apartments are brand new, functional, and beautifully decorated. There's a stunning view of Pelion. The location is ideal, close to the city center, allowing you to explore beautiful Volos on foot. Parking can be arranged 100m from the property. The staff is incredibly kind and available 24/7. Thanks to Jenny for her hospitality and to Alexandra for helping us find a car repair shop. We felt right at home. We will definitely be back!""

"My wife and I spent a week in this beautiful resort. It's a relativery old but well-maintained "village" with nice view. The room had all he amenitiew we needed (hot water, a/c, a small veranda with view) and we plan to go again. It's a bit isolated but near the famous Mylopotamos beach (3 km downhill) and the village of Tsangarada (4 - 5 Km uphill). "
