"We kept on extending our stay at the Kruger Park Hostel, as we loved the place, that had everything you need (+ some extras like Yogamats, E-/& Bikes, Tea/Coffeebar, Pooltable…). The atmosphere and the staff-culture was very welcoming, including, helpful and fun. And of course… so many beautiful animals around day and night!"

"Val and Neil are the perfect hosts. We had an amazing 4 days with them. With Val worrying that we arrived safely in the middle of the night, to meals being perfectly prepared and always hot. Neil entertained us with experiences in the bush, wonder walks in the wild and great conversation around a night fire, while he made the perfect meat braai. We can't wait to visit again. We are already missing Charlie the crocodile who responds to Neil's and Val's voice and is more obedient than our pets at home! The rooms are exceptionally clean, very comfortable and had nothing missing. What a beautiful place with amazing people. "

Royal Marlothi Kruger Safari Lodge and Spa

"We are a family of four (including two teenagers) and had a wonderful two-week stay at the Royal Marlothi. The hotel is welcoming, friendly, airy, and well-maintained (we booked two "luxury rooms," which were large, modern, clean, well-appointed, with spotless bathrooms and refrigerators). The hotel can accommodate between 40 and 50 guests. It has a small pool/sun lounge area. The staff is a great team—attentive and dynamic. Eddy (originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo) is in charge of guest relations and speaks fluent French, which is both pleasant and convenient (there were many French-speaking guests during our stay, and we had very good interactions with other guests). The food is excellent, served buffet-style (lunch and dinner times are specified daily via WhatsApp message according to the daily schedules). We stayed for 12 days, which allowed plenty of time to do all the activities, including several safaris in Kruger National Park, while also enjoying the hotel. The schedules are very well adhered to. Kruger is a half-hour drive from the nearest gate. We went on safaris at different times of day, which multiplied the experiences and chances of seeing animals. A big thank you to our guide Penny, aka BG, who was efficient in Kruger, always smiling, and available to answer questions (mostly in English, but he enjoys slipping in a word or two of French now and then 😉). It's possible to go on walks directly from the hotel, where you'll encounter animals. Don't hesitate to get a massage; it's fantastic."

"This Lodge was our 1st experience and stay in South Africa… it didn’t disappoint. The Lodge was lovely, meals terrific, all staff were very nice BUT there were absolutely 3 standouts being Michael our Safari Guide and driver and Sean and Taneash both staff within the Lodge who along with other staff provided breakfast, dinner and everything in between when we were at the Lodge. Michael is a true champion within this business, always courteous, went above and beyond to try to find the Big 5 for us never giving up and had a true love and respect for the animals and the park surroundings. Sean and Taneash offered a level of service above and beyond. The only negative for me and the friend I traveled with was the attitude of the Manager James who stood at the end of the dinner table we occupied with a German Family and lectured them for half an hour about being vegetarian and the downside of not eating meat. Very uncomfortable for all of us definitely didn’t need this for half an hour at the dinner table. Maybe keep your personal opinions to yourself. Overall a lovely experience and stay we thank you."

"This lodge is so lovely. The room is very nice, with a view on the garden. Here you see monkey’s, zebra’s, koedoe’s and warthogs. The staff is so lovely en helpful. When we went out for our safari, we departed at 4h45 and our breakfast was ready to take out. It was very practicle. Also the diner in the evening is very good! We really recommend this lodge!"

"This was the perfect comfortable two night stay for us. Marcel was a generous and attentive host throughout. The evening meals were superb well worth staying in for. The Braai (BBQ) stakes the biggest I have ever eaten! A 6am start into Kruger, just a short drive with a packed breakfast, meant we saw so many animals. The second day relaxing in the sun with a dip in the plunge pool at the lodge with all the birds around was lovely. We even had evening drinks with Bushbabies coming up close for food!"
