It is perfect for your getaway, family/friends vacation, staycation, business trip, and remote working.The Home:Nestled in a garden, the Shanti Home welcomes you with abundant charm and sunlight. It has split-level layout with 2 separate living rooms decorated with unique, eclectic arts and crafts curated from different corners of the world. -1st level has a living room equipped with a Smart TV for your entertainment. Also located on the 1st floor are a full bathroom and a laundry room. -2nd level (half flight of stairs from 1st level) has another living room, dining area, and full kitchen.-3rd level (half flight of stairs from 2nd level) has 3 bedrooms and another full bathroom. There is a private driveway for parking. The Garden:Nature lovers rejoice! The garden provides fresh air, tranquility, and complete privacy. A safe habitat to birds, bunnies, chipmunks, and squirrels, this garden has evergreen trees. You will find 2 climbing rose plants here whose parent plant survived Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana. Marigolds that originated from Nelson Mandela’s house garden in South Africa bloom in summer. At the back corner of this garden, there is a Bamboo grove with prayer flags from the Himalayas of Nepal—an ideal spot to relax, meditate, and/or reflect. During the day, you can sunbathe, picnic under the Cherry and Japanese Maple trees, and nap in the hammocks. This includes the house, deck, patio, and driveway areas.We are a gorgeous 3 level town house located in the heart of Annandale. Each of our SIX bedrooms have a separate bed; 5 queen beds and a king size bed in our master bedroom. We provide 2 free parking spaces in the driveway, as well as ample street parking.We are 4.6 miles (15 minutes) for the Dunn Loring Metro Station and 6.2 miles from (17 minutes) from the Franconia-Springfield Metro station. The basement is not a part of this house being rented out. The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home. —————————————Top/Second Floor:Master bedroom with full shower and whirlpool jetted soaking tub.Two large spacious walk-in closets for the master bedroom.A walk out balcony with views as far as Crystal City. An additional private bedroom WITHIN the Master Bedroom suite, with its' own bed, nightstand, etc. - perfect for smaller children that want to stay in very close proximity to their parents. (Baby Bjorn Travel Crib available on request for nominal fee of $35 per stay - to cover cleaning and thorough sanitation of item) Cable TV in this room.Laundry washer and dryer is located in the Master bedroom suite.The second bedroom has it's own private bath with shower, cable TV, a queen bed, and a walk-out balcony with the same beautiful views as the master bedroom. The third and forth bedrooms share a jack and jill style bathroom with shower.Each bedroom accommodates 4, with a full size bunk beds and matching twin beds. Each room has its own closet.Main/First floor:A 3 car garage, spacious kitchen with sun room, a formal dining room, sitting room, family room with Cable TV, and entertainment room directly connected to a covered patio/deck with grill and patio table + chairs. We do not have any bedrooms on the main floor & there is a flight of stairs that need to be taken in order to access the second/top floor where the bedrooms are located.There will be no hosts or others sharing the house being rented out. The basement is not a part of this house being rented out. The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home. The house has a generator and the latest tankless heat water system, never have fear of being without electricity and always have hot water during your stay.Blender & Keurig-style coffee maker with starter pods and tea is provided for all stays. Fireplaces have all been closed for safety. A past incident left the entire house filled with smoke because the chimney damper was not opened when a fire was started. We have since closed access to the fireplaces at the property.Animal-free zone: This house is an animal-free zone as the host’s elderly mother & caretaker are both asthmatic and highly allergic. We have found deep cleanings are still not able to fully rid the house of animal dander after an animal has stayed.
