The buffet is generous, offering a good mix of local and international dishes, so there’s something for everyone. We stayed in one of the bungalows, which were spacious, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. It was a treat to spot different animals around the property, which added a unique charm to the experience. On the downside, the bike rental is significantly overpriced, and it seems that very few guests use them because of this. Additionally, many amenities — even something as basic as extra water — are quite expensive, which takes away slightly from the otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful place in an unbeatable location, with great food and lovely surroundings, but some of the pricing policies could be more guest-friendly."

"Beautiful hotel with a view of Lion Rock. If you don’t like the smell of wood, it is recommended to live in an ordinary small flat-floor house. It is recommended to live on the second floor, which is quieter and free of mosquitoes."

"The hotel location is good sigiriya lion rock is not much far from here. Many birds particularly peacocks are there in the property making it a good experience. The room and bathrooms were clean. Hand towels were not there in the room by default have to ask reception both day but upon asking they were delivered promptly. Breakfast spread was good enough. Just that the food on order is not good enough atleast for our taste, but in buffet it is good like many options are only available in buffet but not in ala carte."

"The lake next to the property is beautiful and the owner is really accommodating - he escorted me to the lookout as it is dangerous to go out by yourself in the evening and early morning because of the elephants that may wander through the area. Both him and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Sigiriya. The room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. You are in nature, so if you don’t mind a couple of little frog friends in the bathroom, and you are a bird enthusiast, then this is the place for you."

For anyone planning an early morning ascent of Sigiriya Rock, I highly recommend choosing this hotel. The walk back from Sigiriya Rock to the hotel was only about 15 minutes, which was incredibly convenient. We also made use of the on-site Ayurvedic spa; it was wonderfully relaxing and very reasonably priced. All the staff members were exceptionally kind and friendly, ensuring we had a truly comfortable and pleasant stay."
