"The first room we were booked into had a terrible cigarette smell (it's a non smoking hotel), so they had to find us another room. The next room had its own issues. First thing we found was a bag of kibble in the fridge. The bathroom door had to be forced to shut completely, and the bathroom sink drained incredibly slow. They apparently tried to fix it, but it actually got worse after. If you are tall, you will hate the showers. The shower head is set at about 5'6". Also, bring slippers, because the floors are filthy. I obviously cannot comment on every room, but the hotel is very dated and needs renovations. A few positives were that the staff was nice and accommodating, they serviced the room daily, the bed was comfy, and the shuttle service was great."

"We stayed here 2 nights when we visited Collbran for a wedding. The owners went way above and beyond the norm to make sure we and other in our group were comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Attention was definitely paid to details, making sure guests had everything we needed. For instance, the motel's towels were extra thick and soft, not like the skimpy towels you find in some places. There were also extra blankets already provided in the room, so you didn't have to ask for them if needed. I especially liked that there was a soft, fleece throw on every bed, perfect for cuddling up with in the cool mountain air. The beds were very comfortable, and my husband and I both slept well. To me, the Alpine had everything I hope for in a motel: it's clean, quiet, and comfortable--so I highly recommend it!"

"Very good stay experience. The hotel's entire facilities are perfect and comfortable, both the room and the lobby give people a comfortable and comfortable feeling. "I stayed here recently, and unfortunately, the service at check-in was rude and not very friendly or helpful. The overall housekeeping and cleanliness also need improvement. The bed was not the worst I’ve experienced in the past 10 years of traveling, but there was a visible stain on the pillow. Instead of replacing it, housekeeping appeared to simply wipe or clean it, and it still looked dirty. There was also noticeable dust, and the chair had stains on it that made me uncomfortable sitting there. One thing I really liked was the small kitchen area. Having a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and utensils was a nice convenience. However, the utensils were not very clean, and one of the bowls was extremely dirty. There was also no amenities kit provided, which was disappointing. The location is great, and having a casino on-site is definitely a plus. If the management improves the customer service and provides better housekeeping and cleaning training, I think this place could be much better. Overall, the location and facilities have potential, but cleanliness and service need significant improvement."

"There’s not a lot (if any) of nice options in Grand Junction, but I stayed at super 8 the night before, and it was a complete mess. I was hoping for a better experience here, which I did get. But I was still unimpressed with the outdated furniture and bathroom, my ice bucket had the old bag of ice from the previous guest with water still in it. The front desk crew was super nice, so I appreciate that. I feel like at the price point, every room should have a refrigerator, luckily they were able to store my cold food downstairs in the community refrigerator. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I feel like Doubletree should do better even in a place like Grand Junction."
