Handagedara Resort & Spa
"Excellent location, a 3-minute walk to the beach and about a 10-minute walk to nearby restaurants. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. Service is attentive."
Riverside Cabanas
"Excellent Service. Clean and neat room."
Beach & Bliss Mirissa
"This hotel property is advertised as a 4star but is actually as a 2 star - no reception area - only a small desk to check in - very small rooms - paint is peeling off the walls - the wooden staircase but is scratched and dirty - the sit out area is too small - overall a huge disappointment - we went there and decided to forgo the advance and moved to a better hotel in mirissa/weligama. I suggest that all future travelers please check out all the details before booking this hotel."
Asaya Sands Mirissa
"Asaya Sands was perfect in every way. Food, location, beachfront, cleanliness and staff were all absolutely fantastic and me and my partner had no complaints. We really recommend staying at this hotel and we’d like to give a special thanks to manager Anthony for making our trip so special and well catered."
Mirissa Beach Villa
"The stunning villa was a welcome refuge after our long drive fr Ella drenched from earlier rains. The chef & manager made such delicious food that contributed to the warm & cozy ambience. It was the most romantic dinner we hv had in our week in Sri Lanka. We had our whale watching marred by a storm in thd morning, returning cold n drenched but the yummy breakfast by the lovely chef. Seeing that our plans were derailed, he also arranged for massage therapists & we were treated to a relaxingin- house massage with a beautiful view of e sea. Excellent wet weather plan chilling in e villa (we almost had the villa to ourselves except for 1 other couple. Lovely accomm with romantic ambience. Thank you chef & staff❤️"
ZelonCey Villa Mirissa
"Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. Himesh reached out immediately after our booking and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, helping us make the most of our time in Mirissa. Sanjana was always responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful, while Anjana went above and beyond by personally guiding us to Secret Beach and other hidden gems in the area. What makes this place stand out is the genuine warmth of this family-run establishment. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and were treated like family throughout our stay. A special mention goes to their mother, whose delicious homemade breakfast was one of the highlights of our visit. The property itself is spotless, modern, peaceful, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including excellent Starlink internet. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the hospitality is second to none. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mirissa. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future."
AWON HOTEL MIRISSA
"Really nice host. 5 min walk from the beach where you can find amazing restaurants and bars."
Triple O Six
"Triple O Six boasts a great location, right across from Coconut Hill, and offers spacious, well-designed rooms. However, the floors always seem slightly damp for some reason, which can get on your nerve. Another downside is the breakfast buffet charge—at 5000 LKR per person, it's just exorbitant. Despite these issues, the hotel remains a solid option for its location and comfort, just get your breakfast somewhere else."
Randiya Sea View Hotel
"Good service"

Sailors Mirissa
"The hotel is really well located right on the main road, though the lane up to it is very narrow, large rooms with good shower room, good welcome and check in, only downside was the air-conditioning was a bit weak so it took a while to cool the room down, easy access to the beach down a lane just across the road, plenty of restaurants nearby, good low-priced hotel would definitely use again."
Coastal Villa Mirissa
"My friend and I came and stayed here. We got a room with 2 single beds. We were very happy with the room size. The room had a refridgerator, tv, hot water for shower, mosquito nets, tea kettle, ac, and much more. We loved the location as it is off the beaten path tucked away so you dont hear all the loud noiseand traffic of the main road, but still a short walk distance to the main shops, and Mirissa Beach. They also offer 1 time a day tuk tuk service to the main road if we didnt feel like walking. Thushara was very accomodating and nice. The breakfast there was a good size portion and very tasty too. We had fun there visiting coconut tree hill, Secret Beach, Mirissa Beach, surfing at Wilegama and shopping. I would definately recomend this place for anyone who is looking to stay in a quieter peaceful place."
Orchid Rest
"We had a room on the first floor with a balcony which had a table and chairs. The bed had a mosquito net around it which was necessary. The room was very clean and the hostess was charming and helpful. It wasn’t quite so near to the beach as we had hoped and the beach itself wasn’t particularly clean and tidy. In fact it was unappealing. We noticed a place advertising breakfast just a few yards as you turn right from Orchid Rest, but mistakenly didn’t ask the price. We were charged 1500 SLR. Although the photograph on line shows coloured umbrellas and tables outside the building, these didn’t appear to be available."
Esprit d'Ici Hotel
"Not worth for money but good staffs"
Mirissa Gate
"I'm sure this was a nice hotel in it's time, but it shows the management lacks focus to keep up the standard. We expected a lot more for a room prices double of what we had to pay for far better rooms and service. Seeing the staff just sitting around, just meters from garbage lying around on the lawn outside the breakfast area/way to the ocean. The rooms begged for maintenance, even though the view was nice. Note - even though the hotel is just next to the ocean, it's not very suitable for a swim. Basically rock formations. The closest was a natural pond of ocean water gathered just by the hotel. The roof top pool had a good view, and the pool it self looks appealing (sun warmed of course) , but there were no sun umbrellas/parasols. Giving no protection from the sun. There were sunbeds by the pool, wooden - with no pillows or mattrasses. The room had both air-condition and a fan in the ceiling. The fan was so noisy, you couldn't use it during the night. The air-condition worked ok, but nothing more. For this alone I wouldn't rate it only with 1, rather 2, but there where are three things which makes me rate them as low as possible: 1) The only access to the hotel is down a dark alley (it fits for a single car, but so narrow the car on arrival didn't want to drive down it). The ally is over 100m, even though the sign at the entrance says only 65m 2) The hotel is not manned 24/7. During night (until 8am) the hotel is open and unmanned. Allowing anyone to enter. We got this confirmed (written sign in the lobby) when we went on a whale safari early in the morning 3) On departure day I forgot my cap and sunglasses (Ray-Ban) in the room when we checked out. Luckily enough I remembered this before the taxi arrived and asked the reception for the room key again. So that I could pick them up. The receptionist said something to the a young staff member, who rushed up the stairs. I'm not sure if they intended me to wait downstairs or not, but I followed him. I think he tried to outrun me, but I'm tall and fit. So I followed him closely. In the room there were a few more young staff members, which instead of rushing after me with my cap and sunglasses planned to keep them for them selves. They had already adjusted the cap (way too small for me), so that it didn't fit me any more and the sunglasses just magically appeared from one of the staff when I searched for them (they were not on the side where I left them) All in all this could be a great hotel, but our perception is that they're just milking tourists for money for as longs as they can. without putting anything back into the hotel. Breakfast was included, but can at best be called ordinary. It was food. I can't understand those who have rated this hotel with 5. This was by far the worst hotel (of seven) we had on our trip around Sri Lanka and one of the most expensive"
Somerset Mirissa Eco
"My wife and I stayed here for one night during our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a great location in Mirissa and the staff were lovely! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The hotel is reasonably priced, however for that, you get a hotel in a good location with nice staff, a clean room and WiFi. It’s nothing overly special but a safe and clean place to spend the night."
Villa Vista by the Serendipity Collection
"Amazing architecture, beautiful place to relax the day away by the pool… fantastic local breakfast and lovely staff!"
Sea World Boutique Hotel
"Bad place. The Ari condition stop working 3-4 am and we couldn't call or feel anyone. And on the morning we say to Them its not working and they did nothing. After a good breakfast we had to Pay, where they tried to cheat us by currency count from USD to RS."
The Spice House Mirissa
"We stayed in a range of places during our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka - the Spice House was without a doubt the best stay. Beautiful rooms set in a wonderful garden. Amazing breakfast. Above all kind and welcoming hosts. Thank you!"
Atulya Lake View Mirissa - Resort and Spa
"After the Sinhala New Year, we wanted some quiet time and decided to spend a couple of nights at our favorite resort. This time, an old friend and his wife joined us. I recommended this resort over his first choice, and they were very happy with the decision. They found the place to be quiet, classy, and well-managed, with excellent service. Three of us had professional massages that were pre-arranged by the resort. Next day, the ladies decided to explore the nearby beach towns, and the guys stayed back and enjoyed some relaxed conversations, reminiscing about good old times. The staff made sure we had ice-cold Lion Lager, to fuel our memory banks. I stayed there last November with my uncle and aunt who were visiting from overseas. My uncle, originally from nearby Matara, was really pleased to find such a nice place close to his ancestral home. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for peace and quiet, with beautiful surroundings and excellent service. It’s great for families, groups of friends, or colleagues spend some quality times together. Thanks again to Upatissa and the crew for looking after us so well."
Allan Guest Mirissa
"I liked the guest house, its owners and the atmosphere. The location is the best, in our opinion, across the road from the ocean, excellent beach and parrot rock. People come here specifically and we lived just 2 minutes walk. The room with a sausage, very clean, bed linen, good quality towels and smoothed. The hostess for pay washed and smoothed things, the fragrance of them is wonderful. Breakfast is the same but delicious, fruit plate is always attached. We recommend and advise everyone. Thanks apart to the hostess, very nice, responsive and friendly. English she hardly knows, but we had no problems negotiating and talking to her)"

"Best hotel in Mirissa! They surprised us with a cake for our 10th wedding anniversary. Thank you to the entire team 🙏🏻"
DCanal House
"This homestay is really beautiful. Although it is deep in the alley, the arrangement is very considerate. The front desk can help call a tuk-tuk to go to restaurants near the beach. The whole hotel is right by the canal, with different birds and wild peacocks visiting on the balcony. The facilities and equipment are also new. The only drawback is that it is very close to the canal. If it rains at night, the rain is really loud... and there will be small insects visiting the room. But the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. It is a very good accommodation experience."
Seashore Mirissa
"Really lovely stay at Flora and Fauna. Excellent location close to the beach, free parking for our rented tuktuk and kind staff members. We saw water monitor lizards right next to the hotel, so crazy!"
No 36 Mirissa
"A very pleasant, clean hotel. A quiet, comfortable room, a very peaceful location—no noisy roads nearby, quiet neighbors. The room has a good shower. The hotel has a small kitchen. The hosts were very attentive; they met us late at night upon our arrival, explained everything, and checked us in. The large Mirissa beach is about a 15-minute walk away. It's about a 5-minute walk to the main road, where there are shops and the Ikiri cafe, which is open until midnight."
Sandy Bliss
"Good location but hotel still under a lot of construction"
Peacock Wings Guest
"I have stayed 2 months at this beautiful place! It‘s so clean, hot water and even a rooftop kitchen with an amazing view. The owners are very friendly and always here to help. The area is quiet and only 200m from the beach. I highly recommend to stay here."
