"If you want to walk to all Monopoli has to offer this is a great hotel. The breakfast was wonderfu,, the room while up stairs with no elevator was two or three layers and a complete apartment with balconies. The staff was hospitable but like so many smaller hotels, you need to provide them with an arrival time since staff is not full time. All amenities were top drawer and spotlessly clean, everything worked. Recommended, the location in Old Towns, where you walk to everything, is so very important--even though our car was parked (free) at a marina 1500m away."

"Very nice room, vaulted ceiling, old stone, cool (if you don't open the windows all the time...). Perfect location inside the historic area on the edge of the "modern" city. Excellent breakfast with tickets to take it or bring it back from Caffè Napoli, supplemented by various things made available in the room (fruit juice, biscuits, yogurts). Small downside, in high season, if by car, do not count too much on nearby parking (or with a lot of luck), but it was possible for us to park without wasting time on Viale d'elle Rimembranze about 8-10 minutes walk, every day."

"What an amazing place to stay. We stayed in room 101 with Sea views from bathroom and sofa area. We didn’t hear any noise I The 4 nights we stayed but the hotel kindly provide ear plugs (we didn’t need them). The bed was very comfortable and aircon was great. The Rooftop is lovely and the Location couldn’t be better The only thing to note if you have limited mobility is that there is no lift. Also if you are after privacy in the bathroom just to note that one of the rooms (without sea view) have see through glass on the bathroom. Both Nino and Beatrice were lovely and super helpful. We had a fabulous stay and would return again."

It’s French, the country next door) we had a skimpy portioned dinner. The premises felt like a 3 star hotel in Mexico. Nothing special. BTW, I’ve been living in italy full time for 10 years."

Ivan is so kind from welcoming us with some snacks & wine to leaving a breakfast out for us on our departure date as we had an early flight (as well as ensuring we had everything we needed for our baby girl) The property itself is a beautiful authentic Masseria in the peaceful countryside while at the same time being an ideal base for exploring all the nearby Puglian towns. The rooms are also fantastic & would not be out of place in a 5 star hotel. We will be back"

"Clever photography gives the wrong impression as this place is a little run down. Apart from Saleblu the restaurant. See separate review. It’s a small place, 13 rooms. Nicely situated as overlook the sea one side, pool the other. Rooms are small and very basic. Grossly overpriced. On the plus side, very clean. Nice touch is that each morning breakfast is delivered to you sea view terrace. Huge pool plus three others. Amazing for such a small space. Feels quite stark at the poolside. Weds more furniture and foliage. The place needs son TLC and would be 4/5 Star. Delightful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Genuinely lovely people."

"We used this hotel as a base to tour around Puglia. It was lovely, well designed with lots of amenities, with its own beach area. Some of the British group we travelled with were rude and looking to criticise whatever they could find. This hotel was not the one we were supposed to use so people complained, but l enjoyed the stay. There were lots of oleander and trees around the site and our rooms were in separate chalets in the grounds. The table we were alloted was next to huge windows so it was very glarey if you arrived late and all the other seats were taken. The food was fine, with a good buffet range and included lite wine or beer with meals. The staff worked hard as there were several groups using the facilities at the same time. The spa was super, the pool were huge and well managed with a range of entertainments and options we didn't have the time to try out. During our visit two people in our group fell . One breaking both wrists and another on the dining room floor. Both accidents were dealt with by the hotel staff and ambulances were used. It might be useful to stress to visitors that the site covers a big area, and there are various steps and level changes, but this is true of many places. We had a super time , have used other CDS hotels and will continue to do so. Thankyou for a pleasant stay."

"Hotel booked and fully paid for on Trip but surprise: when you arrive you must pay mandatory additional costs, in addition to the tourist tax, for a total of €29/day corresponding to “services” (package including card to access the room, cleaning of it, towels for the swimming pool…) therefore an additional addition of 203€ to be paid upon arrival on the 1490€ for two, breakfast only, already paid. You are not allowed to go into the swimming pool without a swimming cap. The breakfast is not great. No small convenience stores around. You have to go to Monopoli for this (it's best to rent a car for the week anyway so you can visit the area). As much as some members of the staff are very friendly, others barely respond to you.. (breakfast room) Overall, we experienced much better for less money. Positive point of the hotel: the rooms are correct. A big thank you to Trips.com for their follow-up during our stay and their professionalism because the costs to be paid in addition to the price already paid are not mentioned anywhere when you book on the internet regardless of the site."

"Where do I begin? The ladies at reception were NOT at all welcoming, far from friendly and NOT at all accommodating. We had advised them of our arrival at 12:30 pm with the hopes of an earlier check-in. Check-out is at 10:00am while check-in is at 4:00pm. Don’t tell me they could not have made arrangements to have our room ready. Important to note that they close at 1:00 and reopen at 4:00pm. We were exhausted from our drive and had to wait over 3 .5 hours to get the room keys in the extreme heat. The air conditioning didn’t cool down the apartment at all. That said, we didn’t sleep well since we were literally dying of heat. The lights in the apartment are set to go off automatically so we were constantly having to turn the lights back on. We also ran out of toilet paper and were told to pass by reception rather than having them bring it to us. Noting that they are closed in the afternoon and reception is in a separate building altogether. We also had to pull out the trash to avoid any service charges. Disappointed with the breakfast. Limited selection and tasteless. Silvia and the other girl at reception were very “antipatici” as you say in Italian. Bothered and with long faces. The only friendly face was Mario."

"Because the Polignano Marina Cliff Restaurant and Hotel was closed for the season, I chose this hotel in the small town of Moropoli. There were so many surprises and I liked it very much. The hotel should be renovated and designed from an old historical building. There are not many rooms but they are very unique. The service is good, the heating is sufficient, and the supplies are complete. Free hazelnut chocolate at the front desk😋, and the restaurant waiters are warm and thoughtful. The sea view room I stayed in is highly recommended. Although it is small, you can really see the sea through the window. Standing on the balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset is beautiful. At night, you can close your eyes and feel the waves hitting the rocks and fall asleep. Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel to the center of the town, there are many historical buildings worth taking pictures of."

"We were there for three days between dinner and lunch for the Christmas holidays and I must say that it was a truly great experience. Particular location among the trulli, unique and fascinating, and the tables for eating which overlooked a window with a view of the forest. Already this beginning was a blow to the heart, with attention to culinary details, the waiters always available and ready to satisfy every single request. The only flaw in the whole context was the confrontation we had with the restaurant manager named Michele on 25/12/23 at lunch, who reacted when asked for some clarifications regarding the bringing out of the first courses to the children earlier. not adequate for the figure he must possess, a strong gift of relationality and organizational ability, non-constructive and disrespectful discussion, he didn't even try to outline a solution, an arrogant person in his attitudes and way of speaking. Unfortunately, we also noticed that his wife and her family were present at the table next to us and that the treatment was completely different, a shame about the lapse in style due only to giving himself a tone of authority. Obviously the whole organization was impeccable, I would like to say that I give a score of 10 to the facility and the staff, I give a score of 10 to the unqualified head nurse. Beautiful place, I highly recommend it even for the unpleasant episode."
