Not walking distance to hoedspruit proper, will require a paid shuttle. Would have prefer if a free shuttle can be provided by the hotel. Not ideal for visits to kruger national park as it is approx 2 hours to the park. Overall, would recommend as a overnight stop after visiting the panaroma route."

Initially, I was just drawn to the hotel's beautiful pictures, but its location was amazing. We often saw small animals strolling slowly past the fence, creating a very unique experience. (We were so comfortable we forgot to take more pictures, haha!) Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with carefully prepared and thoughtful food. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuine, making us feel cared for rather than just being served. The hotel owner gave us many practical and insightful suggestions, which greatly helped with our itinerary. The overall price was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. This is a place I'd definitely want to return to. Highly recommended!!!"

The treatments were fantastic, and we especially loved spending time enjoying the steam room, the refreshing cold plunge, and the amazing pool. It was the perfect way to unwind between safari drives. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was our final night. The staff surprised us with a private, personalized dinner that made for the perfect ending to an incredible trip. We had also made a special request for a Father's Day dessert, and they didn't hesitate for a second. They went above and beyond to make it happen, and the thoughtful gesture meant so much to our family. It perfectly reflected the exceptional hospitality and attention to detail that we experienced throughout our entire stay. We cannot recommend Kappama Safari enough. Every member of the team made us feel welcomed, cared for, and truly special. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all of our expectations, and we can't wait to return someday.."

"Our stay at Return Africa's camp in the Pafuri concession near Kruger National Park was incredible and exactly what we were going to experience. The personal touch provided by staff to all of their guests was incredible and unlike any experience that I've ever had. My 3 day stay was in November 2025. Beyond the personal level of service provided by the staff, the facilities were really nice. Our "standard tent" included a beautiful room with indoor and outdoor showers and a private toilet. All of their rooms overlook the river she have incredible views. Our guide, Andile, was great and each guest is assigned to a guide for the duration of their stay when possible. Birding is clearly a primary activity and specialty for the guides. But there are also many large game available to be seen (I believe everything except lions and rhinos are typically present in the region). I booked massages while on site which were great and a really nice way to spend a portion of the day between game drives. Our drives were from 530 to 9 or 930 am each day. We also had a 2nd drive from 430 to 7 pm each day. Each drive included a tea or happy hour stop with light snacks. Meal options were incredible with numerous menu items to select from. The staff take great pride not only in the quality of the food, but in the culinary experience provided to each guest. Regarding tipping... While the guidelines suggest tipping all of the staff at once at the end of the stay, I asked for clarification and confirmed that it is entirely appropriate and acceptable to tip our guides separately from the staff as a whole. We also tipped the massage practitioner separately."

"Located in Pridelands Conservancy a private reserve bordering Greater Kruger. We were fortunate to witness giraffes in the driveway in the early morning and late night. Our group went on 5 early morning and late afternoon Game drives (Safari’s) the two guides assigned to take us out were knowledgeable and friendly. Lodge staff were friendly and attentive, preparing breakfast for us daily and taking care of our housekeeping needs. Our group of nine had excellent accommodations in the four private stand alone rooms. Each suite was comfortable and the private outdoor showers added to the unique experience. The fully functional kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas including an unforgettable Braai provided an ideal environment for our group to enjoy and celebrate our time together in South Africa. Our thanks to Anton and Simeone and their team for their incredible hospitality and dedication to the preservation of the ecosystem."
