Room was spotless and modern. Only negative was neighbour smoking on balcony so it drifted into room but that’s not the hotels problem. Mossel bay isn’t too great typical seaside town needing investment in the centre."

"We had picked the "Marine Manor" on the outskirts of Mossel Bay for one of the stops on our way back to Cape Town: a mansion overlooking the beach from the top of a steep slope, 8 rooms, spacious communal rooms with seating areas, a small library, an honesty bar and pool table, a breakfast room with a terrace, a swimming pool and a private stairway down to the sandy ocean beach... The "Marine Manor" has its own atmosphere - a mixture of bright beach style and massive dark wood furniture. Our first night room, the "Cape Hangklip", had been on the smaller side, but with ocean view alright. The following day we were moved to room "Cape Point" on the upper floor - spacious with an unrestricted ocean view as far as Mossel Bay. Both rooms had a modern bathroom with a shower. The buffet breakfast was average; egg dishes were prepared to order. While the restaurants at walkable distance had not been to our liking we really enjoyed the beach walks and the sunsets... Both the staff and the other guests had been pleasant. A special shout-out goes to Theane! Without her helpfulness it would not have been possible to organise a room for us on a busy weekend..."
