Dongluyuan Hotel had been on my wishlist for a long time, and this time I finally visited the Taihang Mountains with my friends and stayed at this beautifully designed hotel. The hotel's design clearly demonstrates the designer's fusion of humanity and nature, South and North, East and West. Nestled at the foot of the Taihang Mountains, it incorporates the mountain scenery into its landscape; the ubiquitous slate is a testament to its rural roots; pavilions and flowing water cleverly blend with the southern garden style; the Western restaurant combines with the courtyard's orchard, rockery, and earthen kiln, adding a touch of European style. With such a beautiful view, I initially thought the food would be mediocre, but Dongluyuan's dining truly impressed us. Local ingredients combined with the chef's fusion cuisine skills resulted in two days of trying various dishes on the menu, all of which were delightful surprises! The Chinese restaurant was particularly outstanding! The Western restaurant also had a wonderful atmosphere; the kiln-baked pizza oven was perfectly heated, and the pizza crust was perfectly fermented—better than many chain restaurants! The service was impeccable, with attentive butler service. All our needs were met quickly, and the gentle attitude made us feel very comfortable. The room offers stunning views of the Taihang Mountains and Taihang Pavilion. If I had to make a suggestion, I'd appreciate a separate shower and toilet area in the bathroom, a humidifier for winter, and a chair and small table on the balcony – such a beautiful view would be perfect for two people to enjoy tea together. The roof is the spire of the log, and the log on the roof has black things falling on the white sheets from time to time. The toilet is a bit small and the towels need to be improved.

The bed was incredibly soft, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. I fell asleep quickly after a tiring day. The service was also excellent. I arrived around 9:00 PM, and the hallway was fragrant as I went upstairs. Upon entering the room, I found the air conditioning already on and the mineral water was ice-cold. When I woke up in the morning, I could see the mountain view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows. It was a super comfortable stay. I feel like the owner has put a lot of effort into it.
