"Due to an older building, mold appeared on the walls in the hallway. The rooms are more clean and clean, feeling more focused on room hygiene than the hallway. The location is remote, the drive feels a bit far. For service, once you arrive, check in, a staff member explains the hotel facilities, takes you on a tour and takes you to your room. I Order dinner this time, there is a dedicated person to serve and explain, there is a room to sit, a very large room, very quiet room. Breakfast will be eaten in the lobby of a restaurant, are explained by a dedicated person. The 2 meals are generous in portion and taste medium."

"The location is perfect, right next to Togakushi Chusha Shrine. It's just a two-minute walk uphill from the hotel. The landlady gave us a very warm welcome. Even though we were the only three guests that day, the dinner she prepared was absolutely amazing – beautifully presented and delicious. We also had the private hot spring all to ourselves that evening. Overall, it exceeded our expectations."

"Due to the influence of the typhoon on the day, there was a thunderstorm at night. Before I went to sleep, water leaked from the air conditioner and fell on my pillow, which was quite a hassle. The staff managed to stop it, but I was sleep-deprived. The value for money was very good, so I would consider using it again."

"Awkward is the word I would use to describe our recent stay, I understand this isn’t a hotel, and hotel service should not be expected. However, given the price differential between staying at a traditional stay such as Yakouin, and staying in a similar, self-served AirBnB, I don’t think the price is justified. Better explanations about the service, including having a welcome sheet in English would be a great start, as this place is listed on international travel sites, it’s important to make international travellers feel welcome in the stay. Was also disappointed to see Foreign guests had to pay a deposit for the room, but noticed Japanese guests didn’t have to pay a deposit."
