Ryokan Yamatoya ★★★
"The food was delicious. The bath was also very comfortable. I'd like to go back again. The landlady was also a very nice person. Also, the entire building was decorated with paintings, bronze statues, and other things, making it a wonderful inn."
Yamagata the Takinami ★★★
"I have been stayed in Takinami twice. The room, onsen, food and service are excellent. The owner and staff of the hotel are very nice and you can experience modern and traditional Japanese service in Takinami. I highly recommend Takinami to all fans of Japan.👍🏻"
Morinoyu ★★★
"I suddenly had the day off work so I made a reservation on the same day. The service was polite, the room was clean, and I was able to spend a satisfying and relaxing time."
Tansen Hotel ★★★
"A Japanese-style hot spring hotel with traditional characteristics. As soon as you enter the store, you will feel like returning to the old era. The hot spring is also very traditional. The room is large, the Japanese-style bed, the public pool and the men and women will exchange day and night."
Yuyado Masugataya ★★★
"The soup is of good quality and the service staff is kind."
Matsushimakan ★★★
"The first time I experienced a traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel, I felt novel, the hot spring hotel was so big."
Akayu Onsen Gotenmori ★★★
"Superb! The facilities are excellent, service is great, and the location is very convenient. The hot spring is incredibly relaxing. I didn't expect a hot spring hotel not located in the mountains to be this good. The food quality is also good, and very filling. The only downside is that they keep your shoes in the lobby, so you have to ask them to retrieve them every time you go in or out. It's best not to go in and out too frequently."
Chouja Yashiki ★★
"First night of Yamagata trip. The navigation guide led us to an apple orchard. It's like an inn for fishing customers in a somewhat surprising location. Dogs are welcome, and the guest rooms are separated into separate buildings. I thought it was a bit of an unusual structure. Although fishing from the room was not possible, up to 3 rainbow trout per person was included in the accommodation fee. The fish you catch will be grilled with salt and eaten. The plan was 13,000 yen/person, but the meal was similar to the menu at our sister hotel, Akayu Onsen Ryokan Yamatoya, so it was a pretty fancy meal, and I think the taste and quantity were not bad. The bath in the guest room is not a hot spring, so you will need to travel by car, but you can use Yamatoya's large public bath for free. What was disappointing was that the only dog goods available were poop bags, but we paid 2,000 yen to use them, and although there was a dog run, the management was poor. Although it wasn't for the purpose of fishing, it was fun to experience fishing."
