QQingxiaoNGUThe room was spacious and very clean. The toiletries were all from well-known brands, which was reassuring, and they smelled great too. It's very close to the west slope of Changbai Mountain, and the courtyard-style design has a unique charm. They were incredibly accommodating with almost all our requests. On our last day, after coming down from the mountain, we booked a 4-hour day-use room to rest before our evening flight, and they let us stay for 6 hours without any extra charge. They even helped us arrange a free taxi to the airport.

XXiaoyatouEnvironment: The environment is excellent, very clean and comfortable.
Service: The owner is a beautiful and gentle lady. She's very helpful, offering advice on everything from sightseeing to clothing. Even if you wake up early or late, she always prepares hot breakfasts with delicious combinations. She'll also help you with your luggage to your room.
Facilities: The facilities are new and clean. The accommodation is very comfortable, and it's only a 5-minute walk from Tianchi Scenic Area. Highly recommended. A great hotel with a great owner; highly recommended guesthouse.

GGuest UserWhat a trip! The rooms are MASSIVE. It's essentially a full apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The beds are extra extra large so perfect for families.
For Western travellers, you may find the bed a bit hard. We were perfectly happy with it though.
I personally will recommend Holiday Inn at the resort for those with kids. It's right next to the beginner tracks and that hotel hosts all the children activities and kids club. Though I don't know what the room is like. More from a location perspective.
Wanda Jin Suites has 2 buildings. Best to get the 1st building as much closer to the beginner tracks and the service centre to rent ski gears. We were in the 2nd building.
I will say from a location perspective, it was inconvenient for us as once you have snow boots on, it's a trek to carry your ski gears back and forth. There are lockers to put your ski gears in so we'll utilise that more next time. You do need WeChat though and if you don't have a local number, it gets difficult. If you're from Australia, just lose the 0 and add 18 at the front of your mobile number and that will get you through. But best to just get a local SIM to save you the hassle.
But from a food perspective, they're right outside the building and short walk to the hot springs and the water park which is all included in the hotel fees. Including ski pass and going to the snow playground. At the snow playground, there's snowmobiles for kids to ride on amongst a lot of other activities. But that's extra money. Again, need WeChat.
The hotel concierge when you check in will add you into their WeChat and you can ask them questions and they'll help you. Very convenient.
It's an amazing place to come with kids. Water park is insane there and my son had a blast. The hot spring was also an amazing experience. Though very cold to get in and out of the hot springs at -20C.
There are other activities outside the resort which hotel concierge will help you arrange. They can also shuttle you to the nearby village for more authentic food if you don't want to eat inside the resort.
Beaware that the pharmacy at the resort does not have any ibuprofen or paracetemol.
Strongly advise you get WeChat. You can book pretty much all the activities through their WeChat mini app. Including ski coaches. There are rogue ski coaches coming up to you to get business so beware. We almost got on a shuttle with a rogue coach that were gonna take us elsewhere and weren't even letting adults come (it was for the kids) and a hotel staff came up and essentially stopped them and forced them to give back the deposit. Book your coaches early. They book out quick. Particularly snowboarding.
We also booked an igloo making class for our son and he had an amazing time. Though it's all in Mandarin of course. They have half day and full day camps for kids so parents can drop off and chill for the day.
The staff here can barely speak English so bring your AI translator with you. We had less of a problem since I can speak Chinese but my husband often got stuck and needed me or even my son to help navigate around.
Make sure you go back to the counter after returning your ski gear at the end of your stay to get your deposit back.
We had an amazing time and would consider coming back.

Pros: ＞ Easy transport (frequent shuttles + 10 RMB taxis). Great extras like hot springs and snow tubing.
Cons: ＞ Icy, man-made snow (painful falls!). Double pricing for the holidays—and apparently, it’s not even peak season yet!
Would love to explore more of the resort facilities next time.

MM369000****I've stayed at Park Hyatt hotels in Sanya, Beijing, and Shenzhen in China, and this one in Changbaishan is my fourth. The pros and cons are remarkably similar, so let's start with the pros:
1. Park Hyatt hotels consistently boast high-quality decor and design. The wooden cabins in the back garden are incredibly photogenic!
2. The toiletries are excellent; the Lelabo No. 22 is a standard Park Hyatt amenities.
3. They contacted me promptly before arrival, inquiring about my arrival time and arranging an upgrade to a suite in advance.
4. The room service is excellent; the overall stay experience is very good.
Now for the cons:
1. A common problem with Park Hyatts is the mediocre food. During my stay at the Changbaishan Park Hyatt, I ate dinner three times and had room service once. The conclusion is that, apart from Northeastern Chinese cuisine, everything else was very average. Some dishes were even quite poor. I tried dishes ranging from high-priced to low-priced, and my personal recommendation is to stick to Northeastern Chinese food. The breakfast was also just average.
2. Some service was lacking. It seems the hotel has hired many new employees, perhaps due to the upcoming peak season, but their training has been inadequate. Firstly, at least half the staff lacked enthusiasm and professionalism; they didn't greet me proactively, and sometimes I was ready to reciprocate but they simply walked past. Secondly, the staff's professionalism was insufficient; for example, they were clueless when asked about the dishes. I hope the hotel can strengthen its staff training in this area. I want to especially commend Liu Changsheng from the food and beverage department; he handled customer needs promptly and was very enthusiastic, and suggestions were readily accepted.
Since I drove here, I didn't experience the hotel's shuttle service, and I didn't try skiing this time, so I have no comment on those aspects. If there's room for improvement, I hope the hotel can learn from the Park Hyatt Sanya and enhance privacy. My girlfriend was taking photos in the outdoor pool when someone was secretly filming her… Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault, but increasing privacy would certainly reduce such incidents. Overall, I still have a fondness for the Park Hyatt and hope the Changbaishan Park Hyatt continues to improve. I'll probably come again next year and hope to see improvements.

The service was good, the butler followed up promptly, the concierge was proactive and reliable, and the staff were generally enthusiastic. However, the breakfast restaurant was too small and didn't match the hotel's scale; it was crowded with long queues, and the variety wasn't rich. There was no way to dry clothes, no self-service laundry room, and the laundry service didn't even offer a separate drying option. The resort's design was inconvenient; even for Switzerland, it wasn't close to the ski slopes. Walking there meant going through the entire amusement area, so it was better to wait for the shuttle bus. Fortunately, the shuttle bus was quick, so there wasn't a long wait. The EP activity center was a letdown; the kids complained there was nothing to do. The candied hawthorn craft activity was also unavailable; you could only pick it up at a specific time. Skiing was okay overall, but it didn't quite live up to its family-friendly resort positioning. The snowboard bindings didn't have true children's sizes, which were much too large for 5–6-year-olds.

OOlivier22❄️ The hotel is not the most convenient choice for families with young children or for less experienced skiers, as it is located away from the city centre. Guests always need to rely on shuttles or taxis to get around. The city centre is also where the hot springs, water park, and the snow and ice attractions are located, so unfortunately a lot of time is wasted in transport.
🚐 Shuttle service is a clear area for improvement. The frequency is limited, and we often had to wait quite a while—sometimes missing two full shuttles before being able to board. Increasing the number of shuttles would make a big difference.
🎿 Ski passes are flexible: they can be used on any day, including check-in and check-out days. Usage is limited to once per night, and you can choose either daytime or nighttime skiing—but not both on the same day. However, you don’t need to use them on consecutive days, which gives families more freedom to plan rest days.
🏠 On the positive side, the room was spacious and well equipped. The bar, fitness area, ping-pong room, and yoga room were all enjoyable and added variety to the stay.
Breakfast is also quite varied and good.

Right from the start, Manager Benjamin had everything perfectly organized, from details like ski equipment deposits, operating hours, and hot spring reservations, to even sending videos of the routes to the ski resort. We didn't have to worry about a thing. What was most thoughtful was how customer service would proactively remind us of every schedule point, such as breakfast times, shuttle departures, and when the ski resort closed. They were more punctual than my own alarm clock! The hotel rooms were also clean and tidy.

We were so curious about the space capsules by the sea, and then we found out there's a space capsule hotel in the Chixi area of Changbai Mountain with great reviews, so we decisively booked it! 💕 We pre-ordered a BBQ dinner, priced at 300+, which was plentiful and delicious. The main thing was the unique scenery – the gurgling river and the cool autumn breeze (it was a bit chilly). Enjoying a meal at sunset was incredibly satisfying!
We booked a one-bedroom unit, which was perfect for two adults and one child. Water and electricity were very convenient. There were some small bugs on the balcony at night, but the room itself was very clean, so no worries there.
The next morning, we participated in an 11-kilometer rafting trip. The scenery was beautiful and naturally stunning. In the afternoon, we went digging for ginseng in the forest, which was a unique experience (one root per person, priced at 100+, including understanding of the process, lasting about 1.5 hours. ⚠️ The ginseng roots were genuinely small, but the experience was still good).
Oh, and coincidentally, when I went to get something from the car at night, I saw the moonlit night of my childhood – so beautiful!
