Great
GGuest UserClose to the highway.
I arrived late, after 10:00 PM, and the kitchen and restaurant were already closed, but the friendly staff did suggest that pizzas might still be available.
Then the room itself was absolutely fantastic. I heard absolutely no noise from the hallway or other rooms/floors; it was truly super soundproof.
Fantastic bed and excellent pillows, beautiful bathroom. This hotel is truly wonderful.
Free parking, even a large van can be parked there.
AAngieThe hotel is about 10mins walk from the main station with our luggages. It’s just outside of the main town area but it is walkable everywhere in Beaune. There was a nice bakery and crêperie nearby. The room is a little cramped but was clean and toilet is huge. The soap provided smelt nice too. There is no lift but we were lucky to be on the first floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They greeted us whenever we walked past and helped us store the luggages. It was a good stay!
GGuest UserI have stayed at the Chateau before and it is good value as well as being an interesting building with many artistic features, there is also an outside pool. Generally, it’s clean but the rooms are a little dusty. The staff are helpful but on my previous stay the restaurant was shut due to staff problems. It was a disappointment but gave it a second chance. However, having booking again, I was told on arrival that the restaurant was not open on Mondays or Tuesdays. Please don’t be fooled by websites as every one I found stated that it was open on these days, so it’s a must to take this into account if you’ve had a long drive and do not want to dine out, you may well want to think again. It does seem to be under staffed as it can be difficult to find anyone if you would like an evening drink.
You would either have to drive fifteen or so minutes into Macon where there are plenty of restaurants or if you prefer a village, drive in the other direction for less than ten minutes and there is a small restaurant next to the station called ‘Aux Dix Vins’ which I recommend and it’s open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The menu and quality is good, with some nice wines to accompany the food and the owner cares about how it’s run.
PPeterJ.acksonWe received a reasonably friendly welcome; the rooms were very clean, and the prices were reasonable.
The breakfast, however, was unacceptable for getting a good start to the day. It was a complete disappointment: just one croissant per person, baguette with butter and jam, coffee, orange juice, cream cheese/yogurt in a cup, and cereal with milk. This cost €9 per adult and €5 per child (one child was two years old, the other four). We were shocked and only managed to get our fill because we had brought our own food in a cooler.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the system called for an unjustified supplement of €6, but the calculation was simple: €34 (a room already fixed) + €6 (animal) + €2 (a stay fee), totalling €42. The machine showed € 48.
I've contacted the online assistance to report this error of system calculation. Unfortunately, the interlocutor has not made any effort to solve the situation. Despite my explanations, he only maintained that the total was €48, then advanced a €49 charge, ignoring the conditions of my reservation in advance.
Fortunately, when the physical receptionist arrived, the situation was unlocked, she consulted the facturation history, immediately identified the error and corrected it. She has shown an exemplary professionalism, unlike her colleague in the assistance.
Working myself in a French hotel group, I know that the history of a reservation on the PMS allows you to check everything. It is regrettable that a customer service agent is less effective than a local receptionist and shows such a bad will.
If the hotel itself is satisfactory, this experience with online assistance will be a clue of the teacher.
XXenTravellerOur big room for our family is on the upper floor at the end of the building, it is one of the older rooms with worn out carpet and a few sunlight windows. If you are claustrophobic it is not suitable.
Disrespectful neighbours were smoking outside the foyer, although it is a non smoking hotel.
Staff were all very helpful and pleasant though, makes us feel welcomed.
Simple amenities. A one night stay is the maximum.
GGuest UserLocated in the city center of Beaune, with convenient transportation.
The toilet is quite new, but the rest of the room is average, smaller and older than expected, with poor sound insulation. I probably won't stay here again next time.
CChristophe CBAttention, 2 buildings so you will need to ask the reception if you are in the right place, the right rooms and quiet, the right breakfast.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very comfortable and comfortable.
Hotel well placed, not far from the Zenith where the golden season.
Home listening to the client in case of problem.
We had a problem with the composition of the bed that was resolved very quickly. breakfast cheap despite the lack of choice.
