GGuest UserIn many aspects, this hotel might pass for a domestic Chinese four-star. But at your Japanese four-star price point, does it really deliver? This 'master-designed' hotel simply features heavy drapes in the lobby, while the guest room area consists of narrow corridors, bare white walls adorned with a few wooden panels, and a massive light bulb dangling from the ceiling. What kind of aesthetic is this even supposed to be?
The guest room was even more amusing: a triple room. We paid an extra 8,000 JPY for our child, yet there was no additional bed, quilt, or pillow provided. I had to ask for them specifically after checking in. The open-plan vanity mirror directly faced the bed. To the left, a glass partition enclosed the shower, and to the right, a wooden partition housed the toilet. There was a fridge and two bottles of water, but no laundry facilities.
The main event, the so-called 'private onsen,' turned out to be just a small wooden tub awkwardly set up on the balcony. You had to step out of the room onto the balcony to access it, and beyond the tub was a wire mesh fence. Your balcony overlooks a busy street with constant foot traffic. Is this 'private onsen' design some kind of performance art? No one seemed to use it, and it certainly wasn't cleaned; by the next morning, it was noticeably filthy.
Oh, and let's not forget the laughably meager breakfast. I'm too exhausted to go into further detail, but I'm truly curious how much Ctrip was paid to bury negative reviews for this place.

GGuest UserHotel is within walking distance to the bus terminal where the bus from Toya Station stops at. The room is huge and spacious, and there is a clear view of Lake Toya from the room. Room is clean, but it is a smoking room so if you cannot take the smell, you can always open the windows to air the room. Nevertheless, the room is clean and there is a hot bath at the basement of the hotel that you can enjoy after a day of sightseeing. The only regret I have is only staying a day at the hotel. Will consider staying multiple days the next time. Highly recommend for budget conscious travellers who wants to stay around Lake Toya without breaking the bank!

Just go to the room table and get the key. Remember to change your shoes upstairs and lift the stairs. You can't wear shoes when you enter the room. After check-in, I have to call the host and send a small gift, thank you. The bathroom door is not very flexible, but it doesn't matter. The host gave the Wanshige soup coupon. It is enough to pay 500 yen. The soup is very good. There is no need to wash it at the host. Experienced the joy of making your bed and staying at a Japanese homestay! (Tips for Chinese tourists, the homeowner emphasizes that garbage should be sorted, if not, he will bring it to 711 and lose it). In short, I am quite satisfied! Also supplemented the knowledge of tatami. The front desk is on the left door, check in to see if there is your name on several doors. In addition, it is recommended that the gray kerosene heater on the right hand be collected, and the new white one in the corner is fine, otherwise you will really smell the kerosene, and it also wrote a reminder for ventilation at least 2 times in an hour. The white is the new one. There is no problem. In short, a very good homestay experience, thank you host.

GGuest UserThe moment I entered the room, I was really amazed. The surface of Lake Toya was so beautiful. The tranquil lake surface was rippling with breeze from time to time, forming deep and shallow shadows on the lake surface. Take the Dolan bus from Sapporo, there is a stop at the door of the hotel, Park-mae Station, and it is only a 12-minute walk from the next stop, Toya Onsen Station. From the intersection opposite the hotel, zigzag up the mountain to reach the Konpira crater. It takes about 50 minutes to walk one way. It is a two-way two-lane asphalt road with a wide pedestrian walkway. It is safe to walk up. And you can see Lake Toya from a high place. When you reach the top of the mountain, there is a panoramic observation deck of Lake Toya on one side and a crater of Konpira on the other side. It is not as spectacular as the crater of Changbai Mountain, but it is easy to reach and the view is clear. The only drawback of the hotel is that the food is a bit ordinary, maybe it is due to the lack of staff. But the location of the hotel is very close to the lake and the transportation is convenient.

GGuest UserThe location is convenient, the hotel is clean and well-managed, there are food markets nearby, and Lake Toya is just across the road from the hotel. The hotel's hot springs are very good, and there are popsicles for you to eat after you soak in the hot springs.

TThe MisadventuristsThis studio apartment was perfect for our needs as we were only visiting Toya Lake for two nights and it had a stove, refrigerator and cookware in the room. It was also very warm and had Netflix and other streaming services included on the Smart TV. Best of all, it was just up a quiet street from the main road with several onsen hotels below and a view of the lake. Very nice!!
