"The hotel has wonderful location and perfect view. There is a good cafe with the lake view and direct link to the outside. The reception gave me a top floor room allowing a nice view to the fireworks. Unfortunately, the front desk agent named Nanami Tori rudely(very rare in a star hotel) told me to store my luggage “over there” after checking out. Finally another agent helped get a luggage ticket for me."

"Pros: - near the cruise pier - room is spacious for 4 people - can view a bit of lake Toya from the room Cons: - extremely small toilet area - public bath looks very old and smelly - male housekeeper opened the door and entered our room without saying a word during the check out time. Kids were actually still using the toilet in the room at that time but he seemed very focused on cleaning in front of us. We were embarrassed as a guest"

"Meals for the buffet dinner and breakfast were good but it would be great if the dining hall is well ventilated. The 2 rooms that we stayed were aged and tired, smell of unknown maybe from the tatami or the futon mattress, all the in room amenities need to take from the stations at the lobby. Besides the location is good, personally I think there are nearby similar hotels could opt for with the price that we paid."

"I was a little conflicted about my experience here. I was not sure if I would come back to the hotel given the high price point didnt really match the service. To begin with we were left alone at the check in kiosk to complete the check in on our own. There were so many staff everywhere and I noticed other staff were assisting other guests attentively. Then after completion of check in we noticed three small cups of welcome beverages beside our luggages. We have to ask the staff if they were prepared for us or not as nobody was there to serve us. That is really bad by the standard of the hotel. Might as well not serve the drinks. Dinner wise we were initially very impressed by the food spread during the dinner buffet. However we were so thirsty after the meal I guessed the kitchen had been quite generous with msg. It was also disappointing for the room windows to have stains / streaks as they affects the beautiful view of lake toya. So at the end of the day I guess it was the matter of expectation not being met as we really looked forward to the most expensive stay for our Hokkaido trip."

""This was an ocean-view house we rented for just one day to visit Chikyu Misaki (Cape Chikyu) and Lake Toya before heading to Sapporo and Otaru with a group of 8 people. As expected, the ocean view was amazing, there was plenty of space for all 8 of us to sleep, and all the facilities were well-equipped. Everyone felt it was a real shame we could only stay for one day. It offers great value for the price. Note: There aren't many restaurants nearby, and most of them close around 7–8 PM, so keep that in mind.""

"The room is suitable for two families. It took me a while to figure out where to get in; bowls and chopsticks are provided, but you'll need to bring your own seasonings and a good cook. Also, the house is a bit hard to find; the driver drove around for a while before finding it. The environment is great, but there are a lot of bugs."

"The interior has a warm wooden feel, making it a very warm and comfortable place to stay. The beds are comfortable and there are low beds so even small children don't have to worry about falling out. We did have a bit of trouble dealing with stink bugs, so if you're not good with bugs, be careful."
