Amazing
JJarek MecinaWe spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can fully recommend this place! Everything was at the highest level – from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts.
The hotel is located in a quiet green area, which makes you really relax and feel the island's climate. The rooms are clean, spacious and very climate-friendly, and the proximity of the forest adds this unique charm to the place.
The biggest assets of Secret Garden Homestay are, however, – hosts hearty, helpful and always smiley. They were happy to advise us what was worth seeing at Koh Yao Yai, helped in the transportation organization and made sure that we didn't miss anything.
This is a place with the soul we would love to return to. If you are looking for a quiet corner in the surrounding nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!
GGuest UserWe had a fantastic time for a couple of nights. We were picked up at the speedboat pier, luggage brought for us to the hotel room, greeted with a welcome drink even before checking in, and able to enjoy the remote location and quiet vibe of the hotel. The swimming pool offers a great view, and was rarely in use.
This is a very well run, newly built, clean and well serviced hotel. We did not experience any resort activities, nor were we offered any. We hired a scooter for a day, directly at the hotel, at the cost of 300baht. This was a fantastic way to go exploring!
Food at the restaurant was very good, although not necessarily fine dining by western standards. Occasionally, some dishes would be unavailable due to missing ingredients, such as avocados - but I guess that is how it is to live on an island!
Otherwise a fantastic stay, with staff that really try their hardest for you. It was lovely.
许许Stayed in countless hotels in Phuket and nearby islands, this hotel should be the most cost-effective. Although the breakfast is average, the service attitude is super good and the scenery is beautiful. We arrived early at 8 o'clock to check in soon, and provided free breakfast. House keeping five waiters were fast and good. The only disadvantage is that the hotel is still under construction. The environment on the road is not as good as Six Senses, but the price is too conscience compared with Six Senses. There is a convenience store more than 100 meters away from the hotel, and it is very convenient to rent a motorcycle to town. There are many cheap and delicious restaurants around.
Aas2o3.This hotel's location, ambiance, and amenities are exceptional. However, perhaps targeting Chinese people, the service was indifferent. The Chinese female receptionist in the lobby was expressionless and condescending. The assigned housekeeper was snarky and slow to respond to WeChat requests, offering irrelevant sales pitches. Perhaps it was because I didn't take the 3,000 baht per person dinner and massage he recommended? The pasta I ordered in my room was a small plate of white noodles devoid of seasoning or flavor. It felt deliberate and outrageous! During check-out, the Chinese receptionist called to say the bellboy would collect my luggage at 1:00 PM, and the housekeeper would come to pick me up at 1:30 PM. My luggage was collected on time, but I waited in my room until 1:45 PM, and the housekeeper still hadn't arrived. They didn't respond to my WeChat inquiries, saying, ”If you're not available, just let me know,” or I could walk to the lobby myself. So, I called customer service, and they finally picked me up on a buggy. When I arrived at the lobby, I saw the housekeeper smiling and helping the Europeans and Americans carry their luggage. The hotel's actions give the distinct impression of targeting Chinese people! I booked a beach villa for four nights, and the guests next door changed three times. For nearly NT$5,000 per night, I received unequal service. I imagine other guests who booked this room type only stayed for one or two nights to experience it. I've stayed at many Anantara hotels in various locations, and the service here was completely unsatisfactory, even infuriating! (Picture 4 shows the pasta they delivered.)
