Pet Friendly Hotels in Baotou

My three days at Xilamuren Star Campsite were honestly one of the highlights of my trip. Jiaohongjun, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the moment I gor into the car with him. He also took the time to show me around the grasslands and answer all my questions along the way. The yurt was clean, very comfortable and in prestine condition. I really enjoyed my stay, the time we spend together and your hospitality. I would happily come back again!

The yurt's decor is distinctly Mongolian, spacious, and boasts a stable Wi-Fi signal, shattering my preconceived notions about the basic conditions of grassland accommodations. Its location is superb, surrounded by expansive grasslands, perfect for leisurely strolls and photo opportunities – every shot is a masterpiece. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; any needs are readily addressed, and they even thoughtfully shared information about nearby less-known viewpoints. At night, lying in the yurt and gazing at the starry sky through the skylight creates an immersive atmosphere. It's a one-stop shop for all your needs – food, accommodation, and activities – and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the grasslands!

Very friendly host

This hotel really surprised me. I thought that I wouldn’t have a special experience in a hotel with such a location. But when I took the elevator to the third floor, I found that the sanitary environment was very good and the decoration looked good. It is very technological. On the day it was more modern, I booked a double room. When I arrived, I was told that the double room was no longer available. Then I upgraded it for free. The bathtub room may be a bit larger. After entering the room, I found that no matter the lighting, The design, environment and facilities are all very good, and the price/performance ratio is very high. Everything is intelligent, and Xiaodu can be operated by voice, which makes me very satisfied. However, the only thing is that the sound insulation is not particularly good, but that's it. For this price, friends who can tolerate it can make a trade-off. Anyway, I personally think that the price/performance ratio is very high. This hotel is still very good. The most important thing is that it is really close to the airport, less than a minute away. At night You can get there in maybe six or seven minutes. There aren't many airports in Baotou, so it's enough to go there an hour early. It only takes half an hour to get there slowly. It's very good.

I booked the room as shown in the picture. It has an elevator, complete facilities, and sanitation is OK, but the service is average. I thought there were not enough slippers and asked if I could get an extra pair, but was refused.

The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. This yurt is the top choice for your grassland adventure – the experience far exceeded my expectations! The yurt is spacious, decorated with traditional ethnic flair, and the beds are clean and dry. It's equipped with a bathroom, hot water, and electricity – a far cry from the old-fashioned, basic accommodations. Stepping outside, you're greeted by the vast, verdant grasslands, the air thick with the scent of grass. Watch the sunrise over the grasslands in the morning, admire the sunset over grazing cattle and sheep in the evening, and gaze at the starry sky through the skylight at night – the atmosphere is simply divine. The freshly made hand-pulled mutton and salty milk tea are authentic and delicious, offering exceptional value. For an immersive nomadic experience, this grassland accommodation is highly recommended!

The facilities are excellent, the price is great, the air is exceptionally fresh, and the environment is lovely—perfect for families with young children and those under a lot of work pressure! Horseback riding and archery are a lot of fun, especially for families with children; you should definitely try them! The evenings won't be boring either! The resort has bonfire parties where friends from all over the world can gather and enjoy themselves, letting go of the day's fatigue.
