The hot water came out quickly and at a stable temperature, and the bathroom area was dry and tidy. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's rest. The front desk staff were warm and polite, even giving us many boxes of Zhongwei硒砂瓜 to try. Check-in was very quick. The surrounding area is also quite convenient for getting around. As a new establishment, both the hardware and cleanliness are impeccable, offering great value for money. It's perfect for both leisure travel and short stays, highly recommended. I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance.

I absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

This Mercure hotel by Donghu Lake is amazing! The lakeside scenery is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are well-equipped and clean, with 24-hour AC and hot water. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows let you watch the starry sky and sunrise without even leaving your room. The terrace also has a great vibe and is perfect for photos. The bonfire, fireworks, and firework show add a touch of romance. The service is attentive and thoughtful; the butler was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues. The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it incredibly relaxing to return to your room after exploring Donghu Lake. Being able to participate in the evening bonfire party and firework show was a real treat!

At night, we could look up at the stars in bed and feel the vastness and mystery of the universe. The activities of the base are also very rich. The desert surfing car and sandboarding experience make people feel faster. The bonfire party and starry sky observation have enhanced the feelings between the family. The staff is warm and thoughtful, the service is intimate, and it feels as warm as at home. Highly recommended for those who love nature and adventure!
