Amazing
GGuest UserThe biggest advantage of this apartment hotel is that it is in a good location, located in the city center, walking to the market, monuments, subway stations (40 minutes from Metro Line 3 to the airport), downstairs is full of lively restaurants, super convenient. The room is very large, a family of three and four are no problem, the facilities are complete, you can eat like a home, the hotel provides a variety of breakfasts, overall it is good. The only downside is that the surrounding area is too lively, and the restaurant bar below is noisy until two or three in the morning every day.
GGuest UserThe room is clean and comfortable, with a small balcony. The most important thing is that it is very close to the Acropolis and Syntagma Square. The X95 bus to the airport is nearby, as is the subway. Although breakfast is not included, there is a coffee machine in the room. The pedestrian street is right in front and is very lively at night. Because it is across the street from the pedestrian street, it is still very quiet at night. All in all, very satisfied!

Great
GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of âŹ10 - not âŹ8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also âŹ50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a âsuiteâ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a âspace saverâ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the âliving roomâ.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldnât honestly say that it was bad, just âaverageâ.
GGuest UserThe room was small; what they called a triple occupancy just meant an extra sofa. Luckily, there was plenty of counter space to put our things. Housekeeping came every two days, and we got mineral water upon check-in based on the number of guests, but it wasn't replenished during our stay. However, there's free water available on the first floor.
There's a supermarket on the street behind the hotel, making it easy to buy water for 0.15 Euros. Convenience stores nearby charge 1 Euro. The surroundings aren't particularly scenic, just a regular street, a bit cluttered, like a third-tier city in China. The safety was fine; I was a bit nervous before coming, but there was nothing to worry about. It's close to the Acropolis, which is very convenient for sightseeing. There's a Chinese restaurant not far to the right when you exit, and also one towards the Acropolis.
I just felt the value for money was really low. For this price, you could stay in a five-star hotel in China, but here it's just a budget hotel. It is what it is, I guess.
Hardly needed any cash; credit cards were accepted everywhere.
**Cleanliness:** Decent, clean and tidy.
**Service:** Everyone greeted us upon entering and exiting, very enthusiastic.

GGuest UserHereâs your updated fiveâstar reâď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A Perfect LongâWeekend Escape at Ocupa Hotel Athens
Our stay at Ocupa Hotel Athens was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed â the team struck that ideal balance of professionalism and warmth, and we immediately sensed we were in an LGBTQâfriendly space where we could fully relax.
The design of the hotel is stunning: modern, stylish, and thoughtfully curated without ever feeling pretentious. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Waking up to views of Athens and stepping out into the city within minutes made our long weekend feel effortless.
The staff were always ready with recommendations, from local restaurants to nightlife, and every suggestion hit the mark. Whether we were enjoying a drink in the lounge or returning late after exploring the city, we always felt at home. Itâs rare to find a hotel that blends style, comfort, and inclusivity so naturally.
We left already talking about when weâd return. If youâre a couple looking for a chic, welcoming base in Athens, Ocupa Hotel is an absolute gem.
GGuest UserI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, itâs all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. Iâll come back next time Iâm in Athens.

Very Good
AAlexandraA little overpriced for what it offers.
+ the rooms are clean
+ the breakfast is good, they offer a lot of options
+ staff are nice and helpful
+ the location is super convenient
- the pool, if you search for a good option with a pool, itâs not one of them, the pool itself and the area are way too small for the amount of people staying here, so it makes no sense to go to the pool even, itâs too busy and only works from 10 to 7
- the rooms are dark and barely have windows
- the ac makes noises in the middle of the night, maybe itâs too old
- the vent doesnât seem clean as well
Overall, not a bad hotel. But rather than booking a hotel with a pool youâll barely use, Iâd suggest to check beaches in Athens, which are very beautiful, clean and not far from the city centre (about 8km).

AAlisonâs Silk Road TravelsI booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didnât book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.

AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!
PPuay Teck OngThe exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly.
None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly.
The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough.
The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long.
The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
