Hotel Piran

Hotel Piran

📍 Stjenkova ulica 1, Piran
★★★★ 9.0 (118 reviews)

"Breakfast was excellent, many varieties, service was very good. We drove right at the front of Piran Hotel unitentionally. Staff guided us to follow one of the staff to the parking (Fornace Parking) and took us back the hotel. Good view from the hotel and right in front of the water."

Rooms Koblar

Rooms Koblar

📍 Seča 189A, Seca
★★ 8.5 (4 reviews)

"Rooms Koblar has been recently renovated and is really up to modern standards at a very reasonable price. It has all the comforts you might want: large screen tv, refrigerator in room, wifi, air-conditioning and heating, parking right in front of the room.Check in is automated, and 24 hours available. On the grounds there is a large terrace with furniture where you can spend an enjoyable evening with a glass of wine. ( This you need to buy nearby and bring along.) Downtown Portoroz is within walking distance and Piran is s short drive from here. Breakfast is not served, but there are various cafes nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful."

Grand Hotel Bernardin

Grand Hotel Bernardin

📍 Obala 2, Portoroz
★★★★★ 9.3 (57 reviews)

"I stayed in so many hotels in Slovenia, but this is the only hotel that requires a deposit. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the room is quite big"

Hotel Mirna - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass

Hotel Mirna - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass

📍 Obala 33, Portoroz
★★★★ 8.2 (14 reviews)

"We stayed in this hotel for weekend with friends. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and the food is so good it's a shame I couldn't try all of it. The staff there were all nice and very helpful. The good thing is that we could do some shoping even on sunday."

Wellness Hotel Apollo – Terme & Wellness LifeClass

Wellness Hotel Apollo – Terme & Wellness LifeClass

📍 Obala 33, Portoroz
★★★★ 8.5 (39 reviews)

"The hotel room is spacious and well-appointed, even featuring a sitting area. Booking includes access to the saltwater pools and the indoor thermal pools."

Remisens Hotel Lucija

Remisens Hotel Lucija

📍 Obala 77, Portoroz
★★★ 8.6 (57 reviews)

"The location is excellent, and the staff is friendly but unprofessional, as we received incorrect instructions several times. The meals at breakfast and dinner were below average. However, the room was clean and spacious. Be aware that services such as the indoor pool, sauna, and parking are seasonal, so it's advisable to check their availability before booking."

Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels

Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels

📍 Obala 45, Portoroz
★★★★★ 9.3 (76 reviews)

"Nice breakfast. Hotel retains some charm and pre-war grandeur. The pool and saunas are nice, as is the staff. Jackhammering (two diggers) across the street, even Sunday. Beach amenities(about a dozen spots for cabanas/dual beach loungers) not open first two days, then just a “soft open” with no service while many other places had already opened(end of May/start of June). The “beach”location is bit of an exaggeration anyhow, exposed between a busy cafe and a construction site, and across the main boulevard from the hotel. Also charged 5x more in local taxes than what the reservation specified, not a large amount compared to other cities and presumably not the hotel’s doing but info should be more accurate during booking. The rooms are comfortable and as described, if slightly dated."

Hotel Vile Park

Hotel Vile Park

📍 Bernardinska Reber, Obala 2c, Portoroz
★★★ 8.5 (56 reviews)

"We booked a queen-bed room and travelled as a couple, but unfortunately the room was not properly prepared. Instead of a queen bed, two single beds were pushed together, which was uncomfortable. The room also had an unpleasant smell, the carpet felt quite old, and the view was not appealing. We raised our concerns with customer service, but they were not flexible or helpful in arranging a room change. In addition, the hotel is located far from restaurants, making it difficult to find a place for dinner. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations."

Boutique Hotel Portorose

Boutique Hotel Portorose

📍 Obala 89, Portoroz
★★★★ 8.7 (43 reviews)

"Positive points: Nice pool, friendly staff, rooms OK, and extensive (standard) breakfast buffet. Negative points: Limited number of parking spaces, with extra costs (120 euros for five nights), in a very cramped parking garage. The hotel itself lacks character; not a boutique hotel despite the name. The hotel safe in our room was broken. Therefore, too expensive in terms of price/quality."

Remisens Hotel Metropol Hotels in Piran

"We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Metropol. What we appreciated the most was the gastronomy – the food was delicious, with a wide selection and a strong focus on local cuisine, which we truly enjoyed. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, clean, and had a large balcony that was perfect for our family. Towels were changed daily, and everything was well maintained. The wellness area and the seawater pools were very nice, and the terrace with its stunning sea view was simply unforgettable. The well-kept garden also added to the relaxing atmosphere. Parking was included in the price, which was another advantage. On the other hand, the garage, the hotel itself, the pools and parts of the surrounding area are already showing signs of age and would definitely benefit from renovation. What disappointed us was the service. We often had to wait quite a long time for drinks, and sometimes they never arrived at all. At check-out, our room number was confused and we were initially given the wrong bill. Even though the receptionist later sent me an email with a big “UNPAID BILL” headline, and I actively communicated to clarify the mistake, the hotel never expressed any apology for their error and left my emails unanswered. This left me with rather mixed feelings about an otherwise pleasant stay. To be fair, some staff members were very nice – especially one lovely young lady who always welcomed us warmly at breakfast and dinner, and the attitude towards our children was very kind as well. However, overall the restaurant service and reception (with a few exceptions) remain a weak point of the hotel. Overall, we rate our stay positively. We would recommend the hotel, though with a few reservations. Our final rating is 4 out of 5 stars – one star deducted mainly due to the confusing and sometimes unprofessional service, as well as the fact that the hotel, pools, garage, and surrounding areas are clearly in need of renovation."

Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass Hotels in Piran

Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass

"Great location across the road from the beach and within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and variety of shops. The indoor pool, wellness centre and outdoor pool are an added feature if you do not wish to join the beach crowd. Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained with a comfortable bed and nicely appointed bathroom with bidet. There was also a refrigerator and telephone. Although our room opened out to a view of the opposite buildings it was nice to be able to sit out on the balcony. The breakfast menu was extensive in a very comfortable dining room. Reception staff were efficient and friendly. It was a great hotel overlooking the gulf of Piran and a lovely introduction to what Slovenia had to offer!"

"The only seafront hotel in Piran. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with an excellent location close to the town center and the Piran Bus Station. The breakfast is good and offers a variety of choices. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to friends and family."

Hotel Mirna - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass ★★★★
"Rooms are big enough and very clean. Towels were chanced every day, also trashcan emptied on a daily basis. Dining room is a little bit smaller than other Lifeclass hotels I was in,but I understand-it's a smaller hotel. Staff is kind and friendly. The only negative comment I have is location on a hill- 120 steps to the top :( but you can also go from Mirna to Neptun, Apollo and than Grand Hotel through the hallways (much easier). Overall: 4/5*."

Wellness Hotel Apollo – Terme & Wellness LifeClass ★★★★
"This was our first sea side vacation in Slovenia. The hotel is part of Life Class Hotels network which includes several more expensive and several less expensive hotels. Guests of all of them share the SPA facilities. I rated this hotel stay as “Very Good” mainly for its value for money. Otherwise, it is average. Hotel: this is a 4 star hotel and, apart from the food, old towels and having to pay for old bath robes, it is probably the 4 star hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable, very clean, large balcony with a table and chairs. The hotel and surroundings are quiet, even though it is kind of in the middle of a resort town. Mattresses are on a softer side and pillows are not that comfortable but all in all ok. TV has several programs in English including CNN, BBC, National Geographic, cartoons etc. Towels and bath robes are very old and really need to be replaced at this stage. Plus you have to pay for bath robes (!) euro 6 per one bath robe. It’s handy to have one because you can go to the SPA dressed in it. SPA: is very good. There are several swimming pools, one of them is with thermal mineral water which we liked. Another one is with sea water and has one part outside. The pools are clean and pleasant. Can get very busy when the weather is not great but it was manageable. There are plenty of massage and other SPA options. I didn’t use any but they looked very nice and not too expensive. Kids club: there is one on the prémisses. It is run on the Medusa beach in good weather or inside of the Apollo hotel in not so good weather. Animators seemed nice but not too engaged. Also, they never asked for my room number or my phone number so I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the kids there without me being nearby for longer than 10 min. When the kids club is run on the beach, the beach is right next to the road. So it really is not an option to be used for child care and going off to the SPA. Kids enjoyed playing there though so I do recommend it. Beach: the hotel guests can use Medusa beach which is opposite the hotel (you need to cross the road to get there). Hotel guests pay Euro 18 for two loungers and one umbrella. It is expensive if you do this every day. The beach is nice and clean but it is rather busy and not that big. Sun loungers are on the grass, there is no sand there. You need to use the metal step ladder to get into water. There are small stones on the bottom in the water so worth getting beach / water shoes (Euro 15 in shops nearby). Otherwise, can be unpleasant, especially for kids. The water is probably around 1 meter deep when you get in so young kids won’t be able yo puddle in. Water seems clean but there are lots of boats nearby so you can see a bit of diesel in the water. There are showers on the beach and a nice cafe for lunch and drinks. Food: breakfast is limited but ok. The young lady Sara who is making omelettes is very nice and welcoming. Scrambled eggs however are really bad as if they were made "

"When we arrived the girl in the reception was rude. I asked for parking card like in the last year, and she said it is not for all the guests. Three hours later when we checked in the other girl gave me the card immidiately without a word. The room was not complitely clean. There was dust on the floor in the corners. But the air connditioner worked very good. The breakfast also good. Ang I like the wellness section, although it is small."

Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels ★★★★★
"The hotel located in a beautiful compact town with good infrastructure. The employees were so friendly, helpful. My room was located in the old building with a small balcony but there is a new one with large terraces. There is a hair and nail salon, a very good clothing store. The ice cream in the cafe is so delicious. The hotel has its private beach area, but you have go cross the road to get there, also people from outside passing by this area. The water in the sea was normal, the seabed is sandy, similar to the sea in north Italy. There also located some wild beaches not far from Portoroze. One minus was the breakfast, it was the worst I experienced in a five star hotel (poor choice). The good thing about that there was enough place for all guests. You could enjoy your meal inside or outside."

"Room 712 has a lot of ants. We noticed them late in the evening after a walk and reported them to the reception. They gave us some detergent and told us to spray it on the insects!!!!!! When we told the reception about it in the morning, the staff replied that there are a lot of insects around. And even in their home. I would like them to respect the vacationers. It's good that we only booked one night at the hotel."
