Boutique Hotel Portorose ★★★★
"I knew this hotel well, having spent many summer, Easter, and Christmas holidays there, as well as countless weekends. I returned after more than seven years and found the breakfast much improved (almost top-notch). The rest was just as I remembered, and the staff were incredibly kind. The only drawback was the price – not just for the hotel, but for all of Slovenia, which has become much more expensive."
Hotel Piran ★★★★
"The room was clean, location was amazing right on the sea front, rooms with sea view. Lovely chauffeur service who takes you from parking to the hotel in minutes - although there were quite a few people waiting for a lift during check out hour. Breakfast options were also nice, good quality coffee - one thing we missed was fresh juice but they had freshly made smoothies which was nice."
Rooms Koblar ★★
"Rooms Koblar has been recently renovated and is really up to modern standards at a very reasonable price. It has all the comforts you might want: large screen tv, refrigerator in room, wifi, air-conditioning and heating, parking right in front of the room.Check in is automated, and 24 hours available. On the grounds there is a large terrace with furniture where you can spend an enjoyable evening with a glass of wine. ( This you need to buy nearby and bring along.) Downtown Portoroz is within walking distance and Piran is s short drive from here. Breakfast is not served, but there are various cafes nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful."
Hotel Vile Park ★★★
"Excellent location, right in the center of the town. The hotel is very old, and there's a mouldy smell when I enter the building."
Hotel Histrion ★★★★
"For us it was very luxury"
Old Town Rooms Piran ★★★
"Fantastic stay at the Old Town Rooms in Piran. Friendly welcome and excellent communication before arrival, including letting us know are rooms were ready a bit early. Location is perfect in the old town, about a minute from steps down into the sea, so great for an early morning swim. Air conditioning was perfect to cool down between walks about the town. Good sized mini fridge for storing drinks etc and tea / coffee making facilities - my only tiny improvement would be providing some coffee whitener/ milk. We had a family room, which was very spacious and the top room with the terrace. Because it was so hot, we didn’t use the terrace as much as we might have done, but it was perfect for drying swimsuits."
Remisens Casa Bel Moretto, Depandansa Hotela Metropol ★★★★
"The hotel is located in the annex building of the Metropol Hotel and Casino, so you have to pick up your room keys there. You can't just get in, as there's no staff there permanently. First, there's the main hotel, then this one. I went around, went to this one, then back, then back again. The distance between them is short, about 100 meters. But that wasn't mentioned in the description. It's great that you can use the main hotel's spa and pools. Breakfast is served there too. They're fantastic, by the way, considering it's a 5-star hotel. The room is small but nice, everything is up to par. There's a refrigerator and a tea station. My room didn't have a balcony, but they do exist. It started pouring this morning, so I didn't have an umbrella. I called reception, they brought one and brought me to the hotel. They later gave me an umbrella because the downpour kept pouring and I didn't expect it to stop. I'm happy with the hotel!"
Hotel Slovenija - Terme & Wellness LifeClass ★★★★★
"Hotel in the centre, perfect location also for an evening walk. Enjoy your breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Spa center with several swimming pools and whirlpools suitable for families with children. Ideal would also be to create an isolated and less noisy relaxation area without children"
Depandansa Casa Rosa ★★★★
"The staff was very kind and helpful. We booked rooms with sea view. Panorama was amazing! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We were staying in 4* Casa Rosa but we can use all the facilities in 5* Metropol hotel. Food was very delicious with wide selection of breakfast and dinner. Parking in the underground garage is 20€ daily. (2024) It s a shame there is no discount for hotel guests."

Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels
"Great hotel, very friendly staff, very clean and great facilities. This was my second time there and I left very satisfied! There is an electric charging station for electric cars and if you ask the concierge they will do it promptly. Highly recommended."
Hotel Lavender - Oleander Resort
"The hotel was OK, but definitely too expensive, even in high season. The rooms were big enough, clean and with a big bed. However, the walls are extremely thin, you can hear almost every noise from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast is only average. The mattress was too soft and the pillows were a disgrace. The location wasn't the best, right next to salt fields, but there was a very nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. For €150/night we definitely expect a better standard, or at least €50 less per night."
Hotel Neptun - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"Very good location, 3 or 4 hotels connected , hotel on the hill and there is need to climb the stairs or go around to enter it. For elderly might be an issue, the same from Hotel Neptun reaching pools. Reservation table very informative and helpful, clean and spacy hall. I got room on top 6 floor and due to hot weather the AC was working very poorly and all 3 night it was very difficult to sleep. Breakfast included and quite good, vary, but the same each morning. Parking for the car expensive - 15 Eur per day, additional city tax and tourist tax applied. There were no any water in a room or tea, coffee set . In the pool area no drinking water available as well, as the water in pools from see and very salty you want to drink very soon and need to go to WC only, even if they have some bar space it was not working. The bar in the hotel lobby not working as well or only some 1-2 hours in evening, you will not get coffee or bier during entire day, drinking water available only from wending machine. Maybe the concept of the hotel is but it reminds more like boarding house or sanatorium"
Grand Hotel Portoroz – Terme & Wellness LifeClass
"Hotel is bit outdated. 1st Elevator was broken 2nd was very slow. Therme were great. Brekfest was creazy. Almost every time there were missing cups for tea and cofee. Paper cups were used for the soft dreenks and water. There was a descent selection of food."
Grand Hotel Bernardin
"it was wonderful again breakfast great room very comfortable and clean Location great"
Bioenergy Resort Salinera Apartments
"What can I say, we have extended, that should say it all"
Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"We stayed mid tour 15/9 to 18/9/2014. We had requested an upgrade on booking to sea view with balcony, only to find we had a junior suite with an extra lounge/TV room and 2 good sized balconies overlooking the Portoroz Bay and marina with beautiful views. Impressed with the aircon, which worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and courteous and a short walk - took us along the seafront to the town with seafront cafes and the nearby pier was a perfect point to capture stunning sunsets that can't be seen from the hotel balcony. Night view across the bay was lovely but you are away from the town centre, not a problem for us, as we were close to the pier to catch a tour round the bay to Piran (within easy bus distance). Breakfast was good and evening meals were reasonable,"
Apartments Vila Barka
Hotel Salinera
"Located at a small bay it’s nicely away from traffic and center of the village. Good for swimming. Nice big pool. Apartments do have everything you need (but not a single item beyond that), kitchen was new, bathroom ok - everything very clean. Buildings, surroundings, central areas in the hotel are old and need to be redone urgently. Service was nice and polite. We didn’t eat there as it was not attractive. Overall too little value for the money."
Hotel Svoboda - Terme Krka
"Be careful, the parking that used to be free for spa guests is now paid, they charge 3 euros per hour and in my opinion it's a rip-off, for about six hours of stay we paid a whopping 18 euros, after leaving 88 euros for entrances, only in Portofino have we paid such an expensive parking. We certainly won't set foot in there again!"
Villa Olive Oasis
Hotel Oleander - Oleander Resort
"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, the sound insulation is not very good, but the staff service is still very good, very warm, very comfortable"
Guest House PachaMama
"A very nice hotel, centrally situated close to the square in Piran. The room was pretty small but the standard high. Although it would be even better if the possibilities to unpack improved. We really appreciated that we could make our own meals when we preferred that and the secret garden was a pleasant place to enjoy whatever meal one prepared. Or perhaps simply a glass of wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always made you feel welcome."
Hostel Panorama Portorož
Vila Piranesi Apartments
"We stayed here at the end of November and everything from start to finish was perfect. The very friendly staff dropped us a message to advise on the very complicated parking arrangements there are in Piran, providing very straightforward instructions on what we needed to do. This was just the start, as we checked-in very easily and were over the moon with the apartment we stayed in - wonderful views, a fantastic location in the heart of a pretty town and the space itself was absolutely spotless with lots of thoughtful touches. We'd happily stay here again and would highly recommend others to do the same."
