"A very pleasant stay in this beautiful 3 ☆☆☆ sup hotel. We always have a lot of pleasure in staying there. The breakfast buffet is just great. Large selection of local products. The honey is really worth tasting. The only downside is that the restaurant is a little expensive but this is the case in most Grisons restaurants. Too bad. The hotel has pretty balconies and it is very pleasant to be able to picnic after a nice walk in the surrounding area. A Migros store is a 5-minute walk from this hotel. Very well served by CAR POSTAL buses. Churwalden is located 20 minutes by bus from Chur. For motorized guests, a covered garage is available at no extra cost. We will gladly return in any case."

Breakfast was excellent – a large selection, fresh products and everything you need to make a perfect start in the day. I would like to emphasise especially the uncomplicated self-in and check-out, both which have worked quickly and smoothly – ideal for stress-free arrival and exit. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was unsmooth, making the stay even more pleasant. In total, a wonderful hotel that I will definitely recommend. I'll be happy to come back!"

"We had planned to stay here and therefore agreed to pay a CHF 300 deposit which they happily and easily took thru our credit card. Well (we thought regrettably) we were not able to go so we cancelled our reservation well in advance of the cancellation deadline. When we asked to just put the credit on our credit card somehow they lost their ability to transact on a credit card and claimed they could only refund to a checking account. While I gave them all the information, I also advised them that I thought it would be a problem since our account is in dollars. Well nothing ever arrived and when asked was only told it was difficult to send money to the US. So I finally gave up and went to our credit card company who quickly resolved the problem to our satisfaction."

The hotel kindly met us from the train to take our luggage We were a short walk up to the hotel From the moment I stepped in I felt like I was walking into somewhere from a movie Karin was such an amazing host who was always on hand to us The food and drinks were unreal Our rooms were super with everything we needed, so comfortable and with the most incredible views We availed of the chilled out restaurant and bar, the spa, pool and the slide (big kids we are) we had so much fun and relaxed on the loungers by the pool too It was home from home I felt incredibly safe in Arosa and in the hotel itself I wasn't feeling myself and the staff went the extra mile every day of making me unique hot drinks for my cold with honey and spices... honestly everything about this place is so special Nothing was ever a problem...and I looked forward to returning here every evening after a fun filled day to relax I cannot wait to visit again next year You won't be disappointed:) Mags x"

"The Hotel Astoria is a small authentic Swiss hotel owned and operated by Oliver and Edith. They are lovely welcoming people whose care and warmth shine through all aspects of the hotel and restaurant. My wife and I have stayed two different times separated by several years and both times we were impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality we experienced. The restaurant food and service are excellent and the spa and pool are clean and never crowded. The Astoria is very well-located, an easy walk to ski rentals and ski lifts as well as the Arosa train station. We found it to be a perfect location for a Winter ski vacation - at a very reasonable room rate. We look forward to returning again soon!"

"Wonderful weekend at Hotel Vetter, Arosa We spent a weekend at Hotel Vetter and were excited around. Even when check-in we were warm and helpful – a really successful start in our stay. Our room was generously cut, bright, designed with a lot of wood and very comfortable. Specially we liked the modern, top-equipped bathroom – here you realize that much value is placed on quality. The location of the hotel is simply unslaughterable – central and still quiet, perfect for excursions to the nature or a walk through Arosa. Also culinary we were disgusted: The dinner was very delicious, with a beautiful selection à la carte. The breakfast did not leave any wishes open – fresh, diverse and with everything the heart wants. We felt well around and certainly come back. Thank you very much to the entire team of the Hotel Vetter!"

"Excellent service, value and very kind staff. Room was perfect, with bath tub, andsuper clean. Right next to train station and within walking distance to grocery stores. Chur itself is our favorite place in Switzerland, quite unexpectedly so, but it’s really peaceful, with lots of amazing hiking trails suitable for kids, mountain toboggan, and cable car! We like it more than the more touristy Grindelwald region. No crowds and people are so kind and friendly here."

Although the rooms are dated and our beds made a lot of noise whenever we moved our room was spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the kindness, efficiency and pleasantness of all the restaurant and bar staff. All very young, polite and eager to do their best - achieved with great success in my opinion. The food was good. Noting this is a 3 star hotel I was totally satisfied and would return."
