"The restaurant manager completely ruined our experience. We have never encountered such a lack of hospitality and common sense. We were approached twice simply because we had a bottle of water in my 7-year-old child's bag. Instead of showing even the slightest understanding, the manager chose to be rude, inflexible, and make us feel uncomfortable over something so trivial. Rules are one thing, but good management is about using judgment and treating guests with respect. Harassing a family over a child's bottle of water is not professionalism—it is poor customer service and a complete failure to understand what hospitality means. Because of the restaurant manager's attitude, we would never return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to families with children."

"A very, very interesting hotel on a small hill, surrounded by greenery with terraces overlooking the sea. The architect who furnished the hotel did it with great taste, the whole hotel is a combination of black and white. Stylish dressers, mirrors, flowers everywhere. The rooms are modernly equipped, clean with spacious terraces to enjoy. We arrived at the hotel when lunch was over...never mind. the receptionist told us to have lunch right away and check in later. Very kind! We got a ground floor room because we came with a 22 month old baby. The waiters are extremely kind and were very understanding for our naughty baby. Special kisses to NIKOS who was especially kind to us. The food is excellent and very varied! You have ice cream all day! There is always a lot of fruit and various cakes, even sweets made of cherries and figs. Lots of salads, lots of jams, honey. Various types of coffee throughout the day! Cocktails are wonderful! Several types of meat daily, fish daily. there were shrimp too! Several types of bread, various types of juices! Nice atmosphere at the pool and beautifully arranged exterior, for real enjoyment. The beach is sandy, the sea is clean, calm and quiet on the beach, the only access to the beach is steep. The staff constantly cleans the hotel, they constantly change towels and bed linen on the third day, they are friendly and everyone is smiling. The parking lot is excellent, comfortable. Wifi works flawlessly and fast everywhere! The hotel has many terraces, interesting booths and corners for rest outside the room. The terrace of the restaurant is like in a fairy tale, you can see the sea at an angle of about 270⁰. Bianco Olimpico, thank you. you are wonderful, BRAVO!"

"Is close to restaurants, supermarket. Also very close to the beach. The room was great, very clean. You have private parking. As a surprize we had breakfast every morning from Eleni. She is the best. The only inconvenience is that is a little far away from The beaches that I wanted to see( Orange, karidi, lagonisi) "

"⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) This was now our seventh stay at an Ikos resort — after visiting Ikos Dassia twice, Ikos Aria once, Ikos Porto Petro twice, and Ikos Odisia once — so we feel we can compare the resorts fairly well. This time, we stayed at Ikos Olivia. First of all, despite several disappointments, we still had a lovely holiday overall. Many things that make Ikos special are still operating at a very high level. However, compared to our previous Ikos experiences, there were unfortunately several situations this time that left us disappointed. ————————— POSITIVE ASPECTS ————————— We would especially like to highlight the beautiful and well-maintained resort grounds, the relaxed atmosphere, and the excellent location of our room (526). For families with small children, the location was almost perfect, with both the playground and beach only a very short walk away. In general, we found the resort extremely family-friendly. With small children, the flat layout and short walking distances make a huge difference. The atmosphere throughout the resort felt relaxed and very suitable for families. We also really appreciated the fast delivery times, both at the beach and via room service. Orders often arrived surprisingly quickly, which is genuinely valuable when travelling with young children and made our stay much more comfortable. Another positive aspect was the responsiveness of the WhatsApp concierge service. Even when requests could not always be fulfilled, responses were usually very quick. One particularly memorable positive experience happened at Fresco Restaurant. Since we were unable to finish dessert there with the children, the team offered to send it directly to our room instead. What impressed us most was that the dessert actually arrived in our room faster than we did. These kinds of effortless and thoughtful gestures are exactly what great hospitality should feel like. From a culinary perspective, Anaya and Fresco were clearly our favourite restaurants during this stay. Both the food quality and the service there fully matched the level we expect from the Ikos brand. We also very much enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the generally calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. In addition, we would like to specifically thank Vasilis from the Front Desk, who handled a stressful airport transfer situation extremely professionally and resolved it quickly. ————————— WHAT WE LIKED LESS ————————— One major disappointment this year was the restaurant booking system within the app. Almost all reservation slots were already fully booked on the very first day. This is something we have not experienced at other Ikos resorts, where cancellations and additional availability would regularly appear later, making spontaneous changes or rebookings possible. This time, however, flexibility was practically nonexistent throughout the stay. We were especially disappointed by the handling of our reservation on the final evening. After di"

Philoxenia Hotel Hotels in Polygyros

Philoxenia Hotel

"Not a great experience at all. We are an easy going family. My husband, daughter (2 years old) and Mum went with me on holiday. Upon check in we were told that we were being "upgraded" to their luxury suites. T hey are outside of the hotel grounds, you walk past the dump site which stinks and has bin juice running down the road. The suites themselves are lovely decorated, at first glance they are very attractive but once you shower and discover that the drains are completely blocked, your whole bathroom floods! The smell that fills your apartments / rooms after the first shower is like a rat has died in the drains, my Mum had to sleep with her air conditioner on the entire time to try and blow the smell out. They would constantly only put enough coffee for 2 people when we were 4 people. Then we would have to deal with the reception staff who are so rude. All in all we got a feeling that the Greek people don't like tourists - honestly some of the most rude people we have ever encountered and it took every ounce of "biting the tongue" each day to not retaliate. The restaurant staff are RUDE! You will be spoken to like a child in boarding school. Water is not even included with dinner, you will pay £3 for a bottle! The real issue with this hotel... the food, absolutely terrible! The locals told us that they are embarrassed by the food that is served at the hotel as it is not a real depiction of Greek food. It resembles cheap canteen food at the best of times and for the last 4 days, I had coffee and pastries for breakfast because I could not stomach the thought of eating their food. Super underwhelmed with this hotel."

Blue Dolphin Hotel ★★★★
"This hotel could have endangered my child’s life! Everything happened on July 4, 2026, in room 3001, when my child didn’t realize that the terrace door was closed and tried to go outside. The inner glass shattered into pieces and cut my child in three places, which ultimately resulted in us ending up in surgery in Thessaloniki. From that moment, I began preparing a lawsuit, since the hotel did not have tempered safety glass, which it is required to have. However, the general manager, Andreas, along with the rest of the staff, started misleading me and refusing to provide certain information needed for insurance claims and the lawsuit. The general manager, Andreas, approached me twice, saying he was preparing all the requested information, but to this day, he has not delivered anything. If you care about your child’s life, NEVER BOOK this hotel! The worst experience of my life — and we will certainly meet in court!"

Blue Lagoon Palace ★★★★★
"The hotel is very small and relatively quiet which suited us this year . The public areas are very clean except for the windows due to the nesting swallows! We awarded this hotel 5/5 only for the amazing TUI reps ,Dimitri and Chloe, and the fantastic restaurant staff particularly the lovely Claire who was an absolute delight and it was such a privilege to meet and get to know , and Aphrodite who was always there to welcome us with a smile and humorous conversation , as well as the attentive Kim and Mary . The staff work so very hard to bring the standards of the hotel up to at best a 4 star . The beach was actually a disgrace, the sun beds just left in a random arrangement on a grubby unkempt beach , the 4 poster beds (to hire for 70 euros a day! ) were dirty, the curtains ragged and worn, very costly and uninviting. We are well travelled and always stay in 5 star or above accommodation so expected the same of this hotel as it is advertised ! Our room was potentially a 5 star with its own pool, however as a 5 star we expected a fully stocked mini bar ..instead we had a fridge which was initially warm in which to put 2 weeks supply of insulin for 2 people, (I had warned the hotel in advance that we needed a cold fridge) in the fridge were 2 small bottles of water and 4 cans of mixed soft drinks , we were unexpectedly given a bottle of champagne for our 50th wedding anniversary for which we were grateful. The drinks were refilled daily by Phyl a lovely polite conscientious man . We asked for diet drinks due to our diabetes and were told that the only diet drink available was water or coke . That included what was served in the bars and restaurants no other options. The sheets on the lovely large bed only reached the bottom edges of the mattress and couldn’t be tucked in . The feather pillow exchange that was advertised , I was informed when I requested one, is no longer available and the pillows were synthetic and very firm. The curtains didn’t fit the large expanse of window although the under curtains did. There were 2 curtains and the window required 3 to cover the frame. There was a nespresso machine with 2 coffee pods in the room. Should you require more than these they had to be purchased , according to the hotel information screen on the tv in the room There were also 2 tea bags . There were very few English tv channels tuned in.. news or news ! Our Sonos wouldn’t work on the inconsistent wi-fi . At the pool area in our room wi-fi was often not available. The pool towels have to be collected, strictly only 1 per person per day , by going downstairs to the spa. They were thready and bare , we heard one person comment that they wouldn’t even use them for their dog! Absolutely unacceptable for 5 star hotel service. Non of the sunbeds in the rooms or on the beach have any padding , just the plastic stretched over a metal frame which with a threadbare towel are very uncomfortable. The restaurant food was ok , although there was a v"

Bianco Olympico Beach Resort by Anayia All Inclusive Resorts ★★★★
"The hotel is very old and in need of renovation. The bedding was very clean. I was disappointed with the food. The selection was limited and, unfortunately, food was often out of stock, so we had to wait for something to be brought to us. If we arrived later for a meal, whether in the morning or evening, it often happened that the food, vegetables, and fruit were no longer replenished. The tables weren't cleaned and re-set regularly; I often had to do it myself. The stay was a success because we spent time outside the hotel exploring."

"Staff are amazing nothing too much trouble. and always happy to help from information locally, and getting about to all information you could possibly need, and as a solo lady traveller this was key to being safe. When I arrived I had been given an upgrade, not sure why but a lovely surprise. Food is fresh and delicious and reasonablypriced for the quality, a simple buffet breakfast, but a good variety avaliable The room was decorated very tastefully, clean, warm, inviting. The grounds are amazing at this time of year, olives and pomegranates growing, tastefull pots and barrels adorn the pathway. The area is near some stunning beaches, very relaxing, but a small walk downhill is needed, with a few eateries, a local supermarket, and some souvineir places, with access to local buses. Would definitely recommend and come again to the beautiful Astris, staff and owners definitely put its customers first."

Viraggas Traditional Hotel ★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay at this fairytale location 🤩 This small hotel is surrounded by the forest and it has a sort of magic to it. A lot of attention to details has been given to the interior and outside design. We loved the absolute cleanliness of the house and the atmosphere in the garden as we enjoyed, several times, the elevated menu creations of Vasilis ( which we also highly recommend). You definitely need a car in order to explore the surroundings. Around 20 minutes drive there is a very big and quiet sand beach with beautiful clear water. A lot of suggestions about what to visit came mainly from Vasilis and Adina. A big advantage of this location in the summer is the fact that you can sleep without air conditioning. The temperature difference when compared to the seaside resorts is significantly lower and more pleasant. To conclude: This place is really ideal if you don’t like crowded places, don’t mind driving a bit to the nearest beach and appreciate home-made food."

Glavas Inn Hotel ★★★
"This hotel gave us exactly what we needed and exactly what was described online — a peaceful, relaxing holiday in a beautiful location. From the moment we arrived, the whole atmosphere felt calm and welcoming, which was exactly what we were looking for. The staff were all incredibly helpful, polite, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and they always made the effort to make sure guests were happy and comfortable. That personal touch really made a difference. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was absolutely amazing. Everywhere was spotless at all times, from the rooms to the dining areas and pool surroundings. You could see how much pride the staff take in maintaining the hotel, and it really added to the overall experience. The food options were quite limited compared to larger resorts, but honestly, everything that was available was freshly cooked each day, extremely well prepared, and genuinely delicious. You could really tell the ingredients were fresh and of good quality, and we actually preferred that over huge buffet choices that often lack quality. The hotel itself was very clean, well looked after, and had a lovely laid-back feel to it. The views around the area are beautiful, and it’s the perfect place to properly switch off and unwind. The beach is a short walk down the hill, but absolutely worth it once you get there. Clear water, peaceful surroundings, and never overcrowded — just beautiful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway away from the crowds. We came home feeling genuinely rested and would happily return again in the future."
