"Definitely will stay here again. The Main Pompeii gate and the ticket office are one block away. The hotel restaurant was far better than many restaurant-only establishments. Besides the wonderful breakfast buffet, we had dinner each night, and lunch one day. The wines were excellent, and the dinners exceptional. The service is sparkling, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Luigi is part of the family that owns the hotel, and is a gracious host. The hotel was able to arrange a taxi for us from the Naples cruise ship port, which made it much easier to get to the hotel with luggage from a long sea voyage. We booked a junior suite, and on arrival were told we had been upgraded to a full suite, which was quite comfortable and overlooked the garden. Can't imagine a better place to stay in Pompeii."

"It was a perfect stay. The breakfast is delicious and prepared by a lovely lady. In fact all the staff are very polite and helpful. The hotel is just a short walking distance to the Pompeii ruins and there are tourist offices nearby where you can book excursions to the volcano. Nearby are some lovely cute streets with delicious. restaurants and bars. The shower and bathroom is clean with a comfy bed. All nicely decorated. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pompeii. 10/10"

"This is a hidden gem in Pompeii. Great views, clean rooms. Its a stay which is a home away from home. Delicious Breakfast delivered each morning! The best part is Alphonso who makes you feel valued and seen! Unlike the big hotels! He was also great in organising some day trips and a sailing boat for the day. If we ever come back to Pompeii this would be our first choice. Highly recommended!!"

"Excellent b&b. We stayed for a week and the owners were great. Very helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely clean room and access to a fridge and food preparation area. We also had full access to a lovely wee pool, great for a dip after a day out, and areas in the garden to sit out. Easy access to Pompei, Herculaneum and Vesuvius if you gave your own transport . "

Great bathroom. All one needs for a few days at Pompei. Great rooftop terrace to enjoy a wine and aperitifs. Breakfasts were complemented with coffee made to order with passion. Good assortment of breakfast foods and fresh fruits!"

"The location is good, 280 meters from the ancient city, with convenient parking. There is a Japanese restaurant run by Wenzhou people 400 meters away, and there is a light rail nearby. This hotel is worth the price. If you just want to sleep in, it is perfectly fine to visit Pompeii."

"We reserved a room without the breakfast option. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the rear area of the inn. The Il Vecchio Fauno is filled with paintings by the sister of the owner. They are large and colorful. We actually used the balcony and it visually expands the room. The room was spotless and a good size. Danielle the owner always was available to help if needed. The bathroom was good sized and clean. The air conditioning worked efficiently when we needed it. An excellent restaurant opened next door 2 months ago Cenere bistrot and museum. Il Vecchio is close to a lot of good places to eat. It just a block or so from the entrance to the park. We went one day with a guide arranged by Dannielle and returned next day on our own. I would stay at Il Vecchio Fauno again."

"It doesn’t look like much when driving up to it, but once you walk through the gate it really is a gem of a guest house right by the ruins of Pompei, like a little oasis! The owner was very friendly and welcoming, showing us round on arrival. There is parking available and a lovely small restaurant on site where we had a delicious dinner one evening. The train station is also only about 600m away so a perfect location for exploring the Naples area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here 👍🏻"
