"Nice hotel with all you need. 2 types of breakfast. Coffee and tee all day long. Pleasant and helpful staff. Only downside is the late check in that is from 3pm."

📍 Hernando de Magallanes 631, Punta Arenas

"Friendly, clean, and excellent laundry service. I only stayed one night because the hotel was already booked for other days. Because of my earlier departure (at 6:00 a.m.) to Magdalena Island, I was offered a packed lunch."

Hotel Mercurio

Hotel Mercurio ★★★

📍 Monseñor Jose Fagnano, Punta Arenas

"I have been debating how to write this review. The facilities are definitely lacking. I would say 1-2 stars. It was clean, ish. But it was very loud - we were street level so ear plugs were mandatory. Also, the shower was VERY high up. It was difficult to get into and out of. The shower stopped working Sunday night and they did get someone in Monday to get it working again. The BEST part of this hotel was the fact they would work with you for breakfast times. We had breakfast at 5am and then 5:30am the next day when our tours were 6am or 6:15am. Now, my husband was horrified by the state of the bathroom floors. I pointed out that it was just the coating coming off. But yeah, this is definitely like a one star property. BUT! Their willingness to fix the shower and the willingness to do an early breakfast was super helpful. Would I stay here again? Probably not. But if you need a place that allowed check in at all hours, is centrally located, and works with you on breakfast and are okay with sub-par accommodations? Worth it. I would call this hostel level accommodations with very attentive service. They did do housekeeping services every day! But the accommodations are very dated and leave much to be desired. However, if check in flexibility and breakfast times are important, it’s worth it!"

Hotel Diego de Almagro Punta Arenas

Hotel Diego de Almagro Punta Arenas ★★★

📍 Av. Cristobal Colón 1290, Punta Arenas

"A very outdated hotel The only interesting thing is the location."

Hotel Boutique la Yegua Loca

Hotel Boutique la Yegua Loca ★★★

📍 Monseñor Jose Fagnano 310, 6200660 Punta Arenas, Magallanes y la Antártica, Punta Arenas

Hostal Ventisqueros
9.0 (55 reviews)

Hostal Ventisqueros ★★

📍 Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 745, Punta Arenas

"The room was too small, and the bed was narrow. The soundproofing was poor, and the sound of the shower running down the stairs was very noisy. There was no desk in the room, leaving no place for personal belongings. The breakfast and shower were good, though. Chinese hotels are still the best; they're spacious, comfortable, and affordable."

Almasur Punta Arenas ★★★★
"The overall experience at the hotel was satisfactory, but the room was a bit small and the view was completely lacking. Fortunately, being assigned a room on the sixth floor allowed some natural light to come in through the courtyard. We stayed in the new wing, and it would have been great if we could have been arranged in the old wing instead."

"The best part was the service from the young woman who worked the night shift. She greeted us at 4 am and prepared breakfast for us to take to the airport. She was so kind! 10 out of 10 service! ❣️"

Hotel Isla Rey Jorge ★★★
"Very convenient location, three streets from the downtown square, you can also walk to the pier of Penguin Island, there is a good Chinese restaurant around. But the hotel and room facilities are a bit old, the smell of the old house. The service staff is very helpful, although English is a bit difficult. But compared to other cities, the hotel choice of punta areana is really hard to say"

"We stayed for two nights and really liked this hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and were made to feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfy and have everything you need. The breakfast in the morning is just right for what you need before a day exploring the town."
