Almasur Punta Arenas ★★★★
"During my trip to Punta Arenas, I chose this hotel located in the city center. The location was indeed convenient, close to the main attractions, and I expected a hassle-free stay. However, the actual experience was less than ideal. The front desk staff were rather indifferent and unwilling to patiently answer questions. On the day of check-in, I wanted to find a nearby supermarket to buy water, but after following the front desk's directions, I walked several blocks, only to find that all the supermarkets were closed. I couldn't find any water. When I asked if the hotel had purified drinking water, I was told no, and they suggested using the tap water in the bathroom, but the water had a distinct odor and was completely undrinkable. The surrounding amenities were limited. There were mostly clothing stores nearby, and supermarkets and restaurants were several blocks away, making shopping and dining inconvenient. The breakfast selection was limited, consisting only of bread, butter, and drinks, and the portions were small. Having breakfast at 7 am, I was hungry again around 9 am, which wasn't enough to meet my energy needs for the morning's activities. The room didn't have Wi-Fi, which was very inconvenient for those who needed to use the internet to check routes or contact others. The facilities are generally outdated, the heating is ineffective, and no one has come to address the issue after feedback was received. The bathroom has a problem with backflow odor, the drainage is poor and water tends to accumulate during showers, and the water temperature fluctuates between hot and cold. There is also a slight musty smell in the room. Overall, the living experience is rather average, and I would not recommend it."
Hotel Cabo de Hornos ★★★
"Iconic hotel...really nice and cool. Taste the Pisco Sour at the bar....very good."
Hotel Plaza ★★★
"The facilities are old and the Wi-Fi doesn't work."
Dreams del Estrecho ★★★
"Visited the hotel prior to an Antarctic adventure. This is a large hotel with a Casino. Our room was large and pleasant. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking to the town centre. Our meals were in the banquet hall with other passengers on the upcoming cruise. The food was average. Breakfast was served in a nice room and was much better than our "banquet" dinners."
Hotel Boutique la Yegua Loca ★★★
Hotel José Nogueira ★★★
"The small and exquisite ancient building remodeled hotel is quite distinctive, but the room is really too small and there is no service! !"
Casa Hain ★★★
"We left because they put us in a room other than the one we had booked through Airbnb (they left us in room 13, so we booked room 6). The room was VERY small for a couple and baby; they added a crib, and we barely fit. They moved us the next day because we asked... Room 6 was larger, but like the other one, it had terrible insulation. You can hear everything from the other rooms and footsteps in the hallways, as the floor creaks loudly. It's worth noting that there are many details on the walls, such as leaks and worn paint, poor-quality materials, an old hairdryer that doesn't dry anything, the door was difficult to open and close, and the "view of the Strait" is a lie since the rooms overlook a square. The breakfast was simple; for bread (sliced), there's a piece of cheese, another of ham, butter, and a small pot of jam. They give you an egg if the kitchen lady is there, and a tiny piece of cake... I'm attaching photos of this and some details of the room. And to top it all off, one day when our baby was taking a nap, they offered us room service, and we asked if it could be later, to which they replied yes, but when we arrived after our checkout, the room was still the same. It was a bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We never felt the heating was on, and the shower water got cold on two occasions. The hostel is truly disappointing. It's best to read about the tribe's history on Google, as this accommodation isn't worth the extra money."
Magellanicus Rustic Suites ★★★
"There are no hotels to choose from here."
Hotel Diego de Almagro Punta Arenas ★★★
"A very outdated hotel The only interesting thing is the location."

Hotel Carpa Manzano
"Friendly, clean. Above and beyond service. Fabulous breakfast and flexible schedule. Good location. Walk to the straits of Magellan and main square. Would return in a heartbeat! Good value. Comfortable beds. You will feel right at home!"
Hotel Boutique Restaurant Kran Kreen
"The hotel stands by its name and offers good value for money as well as convenience having a little bar/restaurant where you can buy water or have a beer. It has the most comfortable beds in town (maybe with the exception of a few high-end hotels). The only downside is that many of the ground floor rooms do not have a view (more like a garage or parking lane). The staff are very welcoming and accomodating despite some limited English (as they cooperate:)"
Hotel Mercurio
"I have been debating how to write this review. The facilities are definitely lacking. I would say 1-2 stars. It was clean, ish. But it was very loud - we were street level so ear plugs were mandatory. Also, the shower was VERY high up. It was difficult to get into and out of. The shower stopped working Sunday night and they did get someone in Monday to get it working again. The BEST part of this hotel was the fact they would work with you for breakfast times. We had breakfast at 5am and then 5:30am the next day when our tours were 6am or 6:15am. Now, my husband was horrified by the state of the bathroom floors. I pointed out that it was just the coating coming off. But yeah, this is definitely like a one star property. BUT! Their willingness to fix the shower and the willingness to do an early breakfast was super helpful. Would I stay here again? Probably not. But if you need a place that allowed check in at all hours, is centrally located, and works with you on breakfast and are okay with sub-par accommodations? Worth it. I would call this hostel level accommodations with very attentive service. They did do housekeeping services every day! But the accommodations are very dated and leave much to be desired. However, if check in flexibility and breakfast times are important, it’s worth it!"
Hostal Hielo Sur
"Good - friendly staff. Bad - teeny tiny room with only a 3-drawer unit for clothes and not enough room to swing a cat, poor WiFi, paper-thin walls, lukewarm shower, average breakfast, poor value compared to an apartment in Ushuaia with more space and less money. Really disappointing."
Estancia Río de Los Ciervos
Cabaña Tribal House
"The best place to stay in Punta Arenas, the service is excellent, it's like being at home and the homemade breakfast they had for us was wonderful 🥰"
Hotel Los Navegantes
"The hotel was very nice but our bathroom was blocked, other than that the bed was very comfortable and the heating was very good. When you go with older adults, ask for help with the elevator because it is somewhat complicated. Other than that, the hotel is very good, the food is delicious and it has a bar for adults."
Cabañas Villanita
Hostal Buenavista Patagonia
"Charming, quiet, and very clean hostel, just five minutes from the city center on an avenue lined with beautiful trees. Eveling, the host, was very friendly and helpful. She arranged a very limited excursion for us to the King Penguin Reserve. Highly recommended."
