Holiday Inn STEAMBOAT SPRINGS by IHG ★★★
"The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool. The service at the restaurant was very good. The hotel charges for parking, which they did not disclose at the time of booking."
The Steamboat Grand ★★★★
"The room is old and the soundproofing is poor. It is close to the ski resort and the hotel staff are very friendly. Snowboards and shoes can be stored in the storage near the cable car and someone will deliver them. It is mainly convenient for skiing, and other facilities are average."
Legacy Vacation Resorts Steamboat Springs Hilltop ★★★
"Average hotel. For the price, we'd stay again. I enjoyed having the loft room and kitchen available. We didn't get housekeeping on a 2 night stay and there was not enough coffee for two days. Bed was comfortable, pillows good. It's definitely an outdated place. Isolated from town. We didn't use the shuttle because we read other negative reviews. The doors to the rooms do slam shut and we could hear everything from the hallways, even up in our loft. Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding."
Travelodge by Wyndham Yampa ★★
Legacy Vacation Resorts Steamboat Springs Suites ★★★
"When Isabella checked us in she was friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom suite was nicely updated, spacious, and stocked with more than we needed (toiletries, pots/pans, dish soap, etc). The heat worked very well, the shower was nice and hot, and the bed was comfortable. Ran to Walmart around the corner to buy a rug for inside the front door as our snowy shoes were quite slippery on the flooring. It was tough to turn onto the street when going somewhere as the plows caused high snow mounds that we couldn’t see around/over for oncoming traffic. For that same reason it was almost impossible to walk our dog around the area; we ended up having to put him in the car and drive somewhere else. The staff was very kind and let us have a late checkout since it wasn't a busy arrival day. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely book with them again."
Residence Inn Steamboat Springs ★★★
"This was a perfect spot, the rooms were perfectly equipped with everything you need."
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Steamboat Springs ★★★
"I had a fantastic stay and the location was unbeatable!"
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Steamboat Springs ★★
Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas ★★★★

Trailhead Lodge
"We rented a 3 Br for $1K/night for our extended family of 6 with kitchen, fireplace & washer/dryer. There are so many things to like about this property: pool, hot tubs, men & women's locker rooms, game room, ski room, boot room, shuttle that takes you anywhere in town, it's own lift that takes you to the base of Steamboat... But it's not. I rented through Vacasa. Don't do it! Vacasa is horrible and no matter what you do they will keep your money. There was no hot water *for a week*. Most of our party left early, but we could not get flights out. I later learned from an owner while at the hot tub (the closest to hot water that we got!) that this is an ongoing problem. (The Sheraton also has problems and is closing for 9 mo). Not only are showers unacceptable, NONE of the dishes, cutlery, pans, etc or laundry were clean (& cheap quality to begin with so the pans were warped, there was dried egg on spatulas & melted sides, etc.) There was no housekeeping the entire stay and we had to go downstairs to request towels, dish pods, etc. The facility should have been, and could be, a luxury accommodation. But it's not."

"We arrived after 11pm after a very tiring 7 hour journey due to a snow storm. After entering the garage with our 2 cars we discovered there were no parking spots available including our dedicated spot for our condo as everything was taken. No outside spots either and we had 2 full cars including 7 sets of skis, boots etc. I attempted to call the office number but as it was out of hours they were unreachable. I then called security as outlined in the email instructions just to be told they are not patrolling and/or controlling the parking and after asking them if they are ok for us to park in someone else’s spots as ours is taken they said they don’t care. We then went up to the unit only which was freezing cold with no heating. The control panel was off and again we could not reach anyone so we had to make due sleeping in sub zero temperatures. The unit was also advertised to sleep 8 which is a huge stretch. We were a party of 7 and after reading the guest manual (which doesn’t hold any information that matches this particular unit btw) and our trip confirmation over and over again we discovered that the bedding situation for 2 people is a “luxurious” air mattress (which took as 30min to find as again nothing was explained in the guest manual). Luckily our daughter is 12 and didn't seem to mind too much. Also, no bedding apart from a woolen blanket with no linen was provided making it anything but hygienic. The next morning when I could finally reach someone regarding the heating situation which I was told to reset the breaker switch (had to text a picture of the control panel in room) I spent a good hour texting regarding the parking situation which ended with my husband having to come back from the slopes in an attempt to move our cars as we were promised the situation has been addressed and the car falsely parked in our unit spot would be moved. This wasn’t the case and nothing has been done so we ended up wasting a good 3 hours that we could have enjoyed skiing instead. We also had bedding for the air mattress delivered by housekeeping which was great however it would have been even better if they would have locked the door after they left; we got back in the afternoon discovering anyone could have entered our unit and taken our belongings. Finally, advertising this unit as a easy 10min walk to the resort is also a far reach, it took us 20min one way and it was an uphill hike. Itrip that manages the property did nothing but argue back and fowards with me admitting no blame of their own. I was offered a compensation of $50 as a 'gesture of goodwill' for a $5000 stay which i gladly denied. Would not stay again and/or recommend to anyone. Neither will I or anyone we care about book through ITrip again."
