"What a gem this place was to bring us back to the 80’s/90’s style. The host was such a character and so polite with stories to tell! The place was spotless and we loved the fact the decor reminds us of how our homes styles were when we were growing up! Loved the history of the place & certainly would come back again. We were lucky to be given a seaview room & it was nice to be woken up with a beautiful sunrise."
"A very relaxing and revitalising stay, I spent 3 nights there, reception was welcoming and so helpful, my room with en-suite were excellent, a warm and family environment, would recommend to both business and families alike.
Thank you for a great stay "
"The sea view room has a very good view and has a small attic. The price is really high, go out to the beach, the nearby restaurants are good! The boyfriend said that the first time in the UK, it was so cheap to live in such a big room. The room is old, but to be honest, all buildings in the UK are like this, and they are hundreds of years old."
The apartment is situated directly on the beautiful St Leonards seafront within the basement of a historic Grade II listed house. The house was built by James Burton, the original architect of St Leonards-on-Sea in the year 1830. The holiday let is accessed through its own front door, down a flight of steps from the street; the flat is completely self-contained and has been newly refurbished throughout. The front door opens into the lounge, with a wood burning stove available for guests to use during the colder months. There is a smart TV and a bluetooth speaker. The bedroom is a romantic and calm retreat and very quiet. The bed is king sized and made from orthopaedic memory foam, the bedding is pure cotton. Blackout lined curtains aid restful sleep and underfloor heating keeps the room cosy in colder months.A selection of teas and fresh coffee and milk can be found in the small but fully equipped kitchen.Step outside the kitchen back door and into the private courtyard, perfect for an al-fresco breakfast or an evening in.We can supply a barbeque to use in the courtyard on request.Dogs are very welcome at the apartment, butplease do not allow your dog to pee or poo in the courtyardThey are allowed to go leash-free on the beach at this end of the seafront, and along the coastal path all the way to Bexhill. This walk is particularly rewarding at low tide.If you plan to bring pets please send us a message when you book with the doggy details of your stay.Smoking is allowed outside in the courtyard, please let us know if you would like to smoke in the courtyard and we will leave an ashtray out for you. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries, we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.Other things to noteWe are 5 minutes walk from West St Leonards station, keys are in a safe on the premises.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 22 lbs per pet (limit one pet total).Get in touch with the doggy details of your stay.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.Smoking allowed only in private rear courtyard..About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.
"One night stay in room 6, the view itself earns 5 stars ! Super comfy bed . Looking for a moan, no green tea bags in room… Breakfast in the bistro downstairs was excellent. Plenty of local eateries and only a brisk walk along seafront to Hastings.
Would definitely stay again."
"Very comfortable bedroom. Well dressed comfy bed. Really good shower pressure, nice fluffy towels. Quiet within the hotel, some outside noise but to be expected for the location at the seaside. Easy parking for us at the weekend. Very nice included breakfast. Delicious full English but I think other stuff is available. Lovely owner and staff. Dining room a treat. Very hard to fault this place. One small gripe seeing as nowhere can ever be 100%, the room was far too warm for us. For others maybe a bonus point. Overall if ever we are back in Hastings I'd like to stay here again.
Lovely Italian restaurant within 50 yards and lots of antique/ vintage shops nearby. 20 yards from the promenade."
