Scenic Hotels in Pu'er

"1. I booked a rainforest king room, but upon check-in, the front desk claimed they were upgrading our room. In reality, they gave us a room facing a residential building, with the door directly opposite a staff work area. 2. When I asked the front desk to change rooms, the new room still faced a residential building. Since it was late when we arrived in Pu'er, I didn't press the issue. The next day, when extending our stay, I specifically asked the staff to change the duvet cover, bed sheets, and pillowcases. However, upon returning, I found the pillowcases hadn't been changed. 3. This hotel is really hyped up online, but honestly, it's just average. Especially the brunch and late-night snacks – they're all the same. 4. The rainforest landscaping downstairs wasn't fully completed. The coffee was very mediocre, tasting as rough as something from an automatic coffee machine. On the second evening, while relaxing downstairs, several children were making a lot of noise, swearing, and using a fishing net to catch fish, trampling on the lawn and moss. No one stopped them the entire time, which made for an extremely poor experience."

"The facilities are brand new, well-designed, and feature a separate wet and dry area. The room is spacious, and located in a residential area, so it's quiet for sleeping. Breakfast is abundant, offering rice noodles instead of traditional noodles. On the first day, there was an issue with the room lighting, but they promptly moved us to a different room and even offered a small gift as an apology when we checked out. The service was excellent. You can easily walk to the ancient city and the historical park from here."

"Right next to the Ancient Tea-Horse Town, we unfortunately missed the 7:30 PM dance show, but we did find some amazing grilled fish right by the hotel! This place offers incredible value for money; the room was comfortable, and the front desk staff was super helpful. They gave us tons of tips for exploring Xishuangbanna and suggested some great local activities. We didn't get to try the roasted meat rice noodles at the market because the owner was busy chatting with his girlfriend, haha, but the rice noodle breakfast from the stall pictured in photo 6 right outside was pretty good too!"

"It truly is a case of 'you get what you pay for'; this hotel is excellent in every aspect. When checking in, the male staff member was very patient, and the female staff next to him even offered us tea. The front desk had complimentary water, fruit, and snacks (thoughtfully provided with napkins), all available for guests to take. Upon entering the room, I gathered some dirty clothes. I called the front desk, and someone promptly came to collect them, asking about my washing preferences and whether I wanted them delivered back to the room or left at the front desk. I assumed they would be returned that same evening, as I was checking out early the next morning. I called the front desk again, and to my surprise, they quickly had a delivery robot bring them back to the room. The clothes were still warm when I received them! The room also provided a bathtub liner, bubble bath products, and disposable face towels, which was a very thoughtful touch. All the drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary. Due to my itinerary, I didn't get to enjoy lunch, but breakfast was incredibly rich, even offering double-skin milk pudding and Guilinggao (tortoise jelly). The late-night supper, starting at 7:30 PM, was especially a thoughtful addition. There was a particularly wonderful young woman at the front desk; I regret not noting her name on her nametag. She was small and slender, but she helped carry my luggage, both at check-in and check-out, even lifting it into the car. She was truly amazing. You could also find frangipani flowers that had fallen from the trees next to the lobby. This one-night stay was incredibly worthwhile, and the experience was fantastic. Every staff member I encountered was courteous and attentive. If I ever have the chance to visit Yunnan again, I will definitely choose Deting Hotel."

"Came here after spending three days in Xishuangbanna. I chose this hotel primarily for its location. The entrance is small, but the facade decor is quite nice. However, there are a few things I really didn't like: 1. The soundproofing is terrible. On top of that, there were wood-knocking sounds in the middle of the night, coming from what sounded like an attic. The rhythm was very consistent, with several sets of knocking. I barely slept the first night. 2. There was a disposable toilet seat cover next to the toilet with a sign saying it was for-pay use, but the bathtub cover didn't have a similar sign. Either don't provide them at all, or charge for both, or make both free. 3. The front desk staff seemed unprofessional and in need of systematic training. Their service felt inconsistent and chaotic. 4. The breakfast selection was limited, and tables weren't cleared promptly. When I went for breakfast at 9:00 AM, there were no seats available except for the high stools at the bar. 5. There aren't many hotel options in Pu'er. I'd suggest sticking with chains like Ji Hotel or Home Inn. Paying so much for this hotel just isn't worth it."

"Service: very good! Arranged station pick-up in advance. Easy to communicate. Very friendly. Breakfast: for this kind of city and hotel very good breakfast. Salad, warm dishes and some sweets. Absolutely sufficient. Room: very clean. Nice chair to enjoy the view. Powerful shower and toilet flush. Everything I need Gym: for a hotel of this size and price absolutely amazing Location: close to station and walking distance to tea terraces (if you like hiking) Additional: free drinks in the fridge next to reception. Free laundry. Many small lovely details. Perfect stay"

"I had two unpleasant experiences: 1. After a day out, I returned to find my room door ajar. I asked the front desk what happened, and they checked with housekeeping. Housekeeping replied that they had seen it like that since the morning. And then what? Even if I hadn't closed the door properly myself, you're just going to leave it open all day? Not contact me to confirm? Not close the door? 2. On the morning of my checkout day, while I was still asleep, I received a debit notification around 7 AM. Are you that eager to collect money?"

"This time, the three families came to Yunnan to travel. Two of them stayed in Pu'er. When choosing a hotel, they looked at both parents and big-name chains. The location of the hotel I stayed at this time was particularly good. In Pu'er city, it was also very close to the Tea Horse Ancient Road. The hotel has a total of 6 floors, the top floor is the parent-child activity area, fitness area, swimming area, as well as chess and card room, tea room, screening area and wine tasting area, the facilities are very rich. Because we are three families, when the hotel communicates in advance, it shows that we want to stay on the same floor. It is indeed because the opening is very hot. When we checked in, the two parent-child double bed rooms were wrong on the two floors, but the hotel is very responsible. Considering our demands, We took the initiative to upgrade a superior bed to a deluxe bed, and upgraded a parent-child bed to a suite. The overall stay was very good, the breakfast the next day was very rich, and there was free Chinese food (because of our itinerary, we did not succeed in the experience). I hope I can stay again next time. I will make a small suggestion. It is recommended to arrange a takeaway delivery point on the 6th floor. It is convenient for robots to deliver food upstairs."

"Facilities: The amenities are excellent, including a Dyson hairdryer. On the ground floor, there are complimentary welcome fruits and ice cream. The restaurant offers free late-night snacks that are incredibly delicious – I'd even say they're better than Yang Ji's sour rice noodles. The chicken soup is freshly made daily with very fresh ingredients. Service: The service attitude is absolutely fantastic. The front desk staff are welcoming, beautiful, and have sweet voices. They are thoughtful and attentive, and they even upgraded our room for free, which instantly elevated our experience and made our Pu'er trip even more enjoyable! The hotel provides a complimentary laundry service; clothes are washed, dried, and delivered to the room. This was a lifesaver for all our dirty travel clothes, so we could go home with everything clean. Environment: The room is very spacious, and the bathtub retains heat exceptionally well, making for a very comfortable soak. Disposable toiletries are promptly replenished, and the hygiene is impeccable, making for a truly pleasant stay!"

"I stayed here because I was taking the high-speed train. The room was very spacious and clean, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it! It's also very close to Puer Station. Since I was driving, they were kind enough to let me leave my car keys at the front desk when I returned the rental car. Parking was super convenient too! Highly recommended!"
