"Myself & husband visited Kombo Beach & Gambia for the first time for 10 nights Nov 2025. Firstly I’d like to say how hard working every member of staff is, each one always greeting you with a smile & offer assistance if needed. From reception, to room attendants, restaurant staff, everyone a credit to the manager. We chose to stay in a deluxe sea view suite room 343 - two large balconies over looking the beach, we were in block C. Lovely, very spacious rooms, adequate bathroom very satisfied. Air conditioning very good. Food in buffet restaurant very nice. Always had a lovely meal every day. Pool area kept clean, pool absolutely perfect. Not too busy. Again lots of attendants to help you if needed. Beach is beautiful and again kept so clean. Evening entertainment I particularly enjoyed, especially the bands / singers. We often went out for a few evenings to the “strip” which was a short taxi ride away. Plenty of trips and things to visit in Gambia. Definitely safe enough to venture out & explore. We shall be definitely returning thank you to all staff at Kombo for a wonderful holiday."

"This is a first rate hotel. The owner has chosen to attract business people as well as tourists and I think it improves the general feel of the place . The design is very good with blocks of apartments centred on a pool and a lot of trees and greenery. We have looked at a lot of other hotels while we are here and the Bakadaji is the best one I have seen."

"Kebba the manager there is a fantastic host, he offers great service and is very friendly, this goes for all the staff you encounter and the service desk to the kitchen staff all in all the stay at the metzy was fantastic, and when I return to Gambia I will stay there again, fantastic service and great location, walking distance to the beach"

"Very nice hotel. Its location is very central, in the back of "the strip". Loads of Dutch people here! The pool is nice, they even have a swim-up bar. I had some fish in the local restaurant next to the pool, which was amazing. The AC was working well, there was warm water (not hot). Room cleaned daily, the bed was very comfortable. Definitely recommend it!"

"good value for money this hotel. Classic descent rooms with silent air and big balcony. lovely big pool with clean water. Right at the beach as well. Rates are cheap. for that price you get a great breakfast, was positively surprised. Yes all is in need of refurbishment but for the price paid, I would happily come back. Staff are mostly older than the surrounding hotel staff are which makes for a bit more character present, sometimes a bit weird or unfriendly or stubborn but it did not spoil my holidays. It used to be the top notch hotel in Gambia a decade ago. Very centrally located but still very quiet."

"We stayed outside the 'tourist season', so the hotel wasn't quite up to date yet. But apart from that, it was fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful, the chef prepares the most delicious [local] dishes for you, and the owner talks your ear off and is genuinely interested in you. The hotel is situated in a wonderfully quiet location, right on the beach, and has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious. There is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans. Electricity is generated using solar panels and was more than sufficient. If you appreciate peace and quiet, this hotel is highly recommended!"

"As the name suggests, it's right on the beach. The complex is very clean. The rooms are spread across one- or two-unit bungalows. Each room has a relatively large terrace. Each room has a small kitchen with a small stove, kettle, refrigerator, and microwave. The beach and restaurant are just a few meters away. There's also a pool, which can serve as an alternative if the surf is too strong."

"Mansea beach is like home from home for me been coming now for 17 years . management and staff are family i came here for 14 years with my husband then suddenly passed away in 2023.so in 2024 I bought my family 18of us had such a brilliant time and we did fill b block but we considerent to other people and yes we did have music and party time that what's we go for .Back here now and will keep coming back whenever i can and my family as well u live once e joy life angela"

"Photos of this hotel are beautifully edited and do not correspond to reality at all. Everything is old and in need of maintenance. Breakfast is a disaster, even by African standards. Bath towel service: you have to beg for a towel. It is located on a very busy road that you have to cross to get to the beach. 10-minute walk along a kind of cross-country track. The staff is nice and the rooms are clean. Good bed."
