"Whatever you do DO NOT go to this awful place, we were unfortunate enough to be taken there for 1 night (thank God) with Tui after our flight was cancelled, we have never after 17 visits to the Gambia ever experienced such a poor hotel all around, and before anyone thinks its Africa and there is not the same standards there I have been so many times so feel I can make an honest comparison I have attached some photos of the hovel they called a bedroom,you can clearly see bugs in the actual bed, no toilet roll, no toiletries at all and the smell of damp was sickening breakfast was diabolical the plates were filthy there were no cups or glasses absolutely no bread at all very very poor selection, please do your research as I would hate anyone to experience what we did."

"My sister, myself and my son, spent two weeks in the Kasumai Beach Resort in November 2024. We have been blessed to travel extensively around the world. This particular trip to Gambia was exceptional. The hotel certainly added to this experience being so amazing. The manager Amadou leads the way in how professional the staff are, and this was evident in all areas of the hotel. Food was of a high standard, delicious breakfast each morning and everyone was happy and smiling. The guys that managed the pool area and ensured that all holiday makers enjoyed their time relaxing, nothing was too much trouble and again always with a smile and positive vibes. We experienced many trips with Musa who works in the hotel, and I would highly recommend him for excursions. They were interesting, smooth and not as costly as some large corporate operations. Ousman who manages the area outside and the beach is an absolute gem and ensures that guests are kept safe and happy. Never have we experienced a Hotel where EVERONE is genuinely happy and kind! If you are thinking of booking this hotel then do, it really did make our holiday experience exceptional. We will certainly be back next year with more of our family.!"

"I had a great stay at hotel. Room was large, clean and nicely decorated. Few problems with the shower/sink which were fixed reasonably quickly and/or new room was offered. Pool area was well looked after and pool towels were offered. Food from the restaurant was delicious. Big thank you to Alaghie who was fantastic at reception. He was always happy to help with a smile and to find a solution to any problems and with wonderful hospitality. Bring enough cash or access to cash, as card machine did not work when there."

"Amazing 10 days at Kombo Beach. The hotel is beautiful with great facilities. We’re stayed B&B and the food and drink prices were very reasonable, obviously it’s more competitive out of the hotel but £1.80 for a vodka Fanta and £4 cocktails, how can you complain? The buffet is very expensive if you’re not all inclusive so we did get stung once but the barracuda bar had lots of choice at a great price, around £7 each for a main meal and you get a lot of food. The staff are really friendly and our cleaner left us wonderful towel art most days. The location is stunning and the locals are respectful if you venture outside, once you tell them you don’t need a lift/money exchange they leave you alone. We will definitely stay again, thank you!"

Seaview Gardens Hotel
"Not a bad location and some rooms are OK... My daughter and niece stayed there for the last 2 weeks and had a terrible time. To start with they were put in a temporary room that stunk of damp then after complaining they were given another room. It was supposed to be a triple room (I was supposed to stay too) but the room only had a double bed after complaining again they were given a filthy and broken single bed. They refused to stay and joined me somewhere else for the night. The following day the manager was very reasonable and sorted the room situation. The new rooms were nice and clean. The pool was dirty despite being cleared each day, the toilets at the pool were filthy and the beds and tables and chairs are very dusty (some attributed to the roadworks in the area) One of the cleaners touched my daughter inappropriately outside her room. She went in her room and locked it after telling him off but he continued knocking her door. This matter was sorted by the manager only after threats to call the police. She was very angry and said she would not tolerate that behaviour and he was sacked. Other staff were very sympathetic toward her after and agreed customers should not have to tolerate this Later the lock came out with her key as she went to her room. She spent the night with chairs against the door and the door was fixed the morning after.there will need to be big changes before I would recommend this place."

"The first room bi had was stinking of sewage i refused to take it so he put me in another room for the night ,then next afternoon he moved me to room 10 and when i saw the shower room it was disgusting water coming down the walls from above rooms big holes in the ceiling plaster falling down no fridge which I had to pay for the shower room mats were dirty and mouldy i threw them outside the front that's the only time they were cleaned in 2 weeks the pillow cover was ripped the cover for the boiler fell down as you can see from the pictures I said to the manager to come and see it and he i will talk to manager 3 times i complained nothing was done ,outside my back window there was an open sewage manhole breakfast first morning was cold and not very nice so I was eating out ball the rest of my holiday never stay there again i booked all this with tui,"

"Mansea beach is like home from home for me been coming now for 17 years . management and staff are family i came here for 14 years with my husband then suddenly passed away in 2023.so in 2024 I bought my family 18of us had such a brilliant time and we did fill b block but we considerent to other people and yes we did have music and party time that what's we go for .Back here now and will keep coming back whenever i can and my family as well u live once e joy life angela"

"The Senegambia Hotel is located in a beautiful park and has a charm all its own. The room was clean, simply but adequately furnished. A small refrigerator and safe are available. The bathroom lacks a bit of counter space, but the shower with decent water pressure was a definite plus. The pools are great, and the beach is a bit unusual but also very beautiful. Friendly staff. We will choose this hotel again and again, especially given its prime location (right on the Strip)."

"Review for Apartment 1002: I was very disappointed with my stay. There was no towel change throughout my visit, no room service, and the apartment was not cleaned at all. The air conditioning did not work properly and failed to cool the room, and the WiFi didn’t work either, which made the stay even more frustrating. For the price, I expected basic maintenance and service, but unfortunately, these were completely lacking."

"Photos of this hotel are beautifully edited and do not correspond to reality at all. Everything is old and in need of maintenance. Breakfast is a disaster, even by African standards. Bath towel service: you have to beg for a towel. It is located on a very busy road that you have to cross to get to the beach. 10-minute walk along a kind of cross-country track. The staff is nice and the rooms are clean. Good bed."

"The hotel is really you get what you pay for the swimming pool is spacious , food is horrible and very limited for a buffet . The hotel is run down and old. The security are not very friendly or accommodating and the head of security malick is creepy . He has a habit of speaking to multiple women as he did me and my friend to try and get us to be with him if u knew what I mean he is very unprofessional. He should be fired. Reception staff was very nice."
