TUI BLUE Tamala ★★★★
"Since Tamala join TUI service it has gone down, the premises was amazing 4-5yrs ago would definitely say top hotel 5* in Gambia now it's 3* Cons - Property is not maintained throughout the year meaning management refused 😕 to spend money on building interiors/external e.g painting, carpentery , hot water very spoactic, mosquitoes in rooms are unmanageable, TV channels limited, new TUI menu boring old menu much better with choices & taste. Definitely overpriced accommodation due to the current state. Pro - All staff have always been amazing adapting to changes & maintaining good customer service with management limitations! There go beyond to resolve any issues within their capacity to make your stay pleasurable. The hotel has so much potential but limited resources for staff to work with."
Sarge's Hotel ★★★
"I had a great stay at hotel. Room was large, clean and nicely decorated. Few problems with the shower/sink which were fixed reasonably quickly and/or new room was offered. Pool area was well looked after and pool towels were offered. Food from the restaurant was delicious. Big thank you to Alaghie who was fantastic at reception. He was always happy to help with a smile and to find a solution to any problems and with wonderful hospitality. Bring enough cash or access to cash, as card machine did not work when there."
Coco Ocean Resort & Spa ★★★★
"At Coco Ocean Resort & Spa you’ll enjoy stunning beachfront and tier-edged pools that really deliver a vacation feel, and the friendly staff add warmth to the stay. The location earns high marks, especially for beach-lovers & pool time, though some guests feel parts of the décor and rooms are overdue for refurbishment and the WiFi can be inconsistent."
Bakadaji Hotel ★★★★
"Stayed here for Xmas and new year had a fantastic time staff were great to name a few lamin and the pool staff brilliant Osmound on reception brilliant come to check on us every day Xmas eve and new years eve gala dinners spot on great fireworks and also the best breakfast in the Gambia Great choice already looking to book again love the piece and quiet great rooms and beds great and monkeys messing about outside our room was brilliant stayed in Jola1 thanks to all for making our stay so special also cleaning staff great and made our Xmas singing outside our room Xmas morning loved it"
Kombo Beach Resort ★★★★
"This resort was one of the best holiday experiences so far. The all inclusive food was truly amazing. There was a variety of fresh Western and traditional African food. The personnel are the kindest people you can imagine and they are willing to help and please you above expectations. The rooms are good with good air-conditioning 24/7. During the day we could chill near the pool or beach or join one of the many sportive activities that are organized by the hotel's entertainment team."
Kololi Beach Resort ★★★★
"Superb, so quiet, efficiently run; all staff so helpful, comfy bed, we were S/C, bit basic S/c but adequate Gardens fantastic…3 pools… 2familynpool I think were were at the aged end‼️‼️😂😂😂 ‘our’ pool was only used by (4 today) usually just 6 people… I would certainly come here again… and again… and again we’ve been coming to the Gambia every year since 1990‼️‼️this is the best apartment yet. View from our balcony and a pic of someone in the pool"
AFRICAN PRINCESS BEACH HOTEL ★★★★
"Verry Good"
The Kairaba Beach Hotel ★★★★
"A hotel is a hotel. It's simply Africa. However, it has terrible neighborhoods. I recommend bringing earplugs. Sleep is impossible. The music from the hotel next door makes any sense impossible. Even earplugs don't help. I'm sorry to write this because the hotel itself is of a good, good African standard."
Metzy Residence Hotel ★★★★
"Had a fantastic stay! The staff was welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Highly recommend and would stay again!"

Kololi Sands Apartments
"Review for Apartment 1002: I was very disappointed with my stay. There was no towel change throughout my visit, no room service, and the apartment was not cleaned at all. The air conditioning did not work properly and failed to cool the room, and the WiFi didn’t work either, which made the stay even more frustrating. For the price, I expected basic maintenance and service, but unfortunately, these were completely lacking."
Bamboo Garden Hotel
"Apartment was good as well as the bathroom and pool. The beautiful double bed was a concrete block finished with wood and a good mattress on top. Large TV available but it did not work, but very good internet everywhere. Friendly staff everywhere. Breakfast was meager and always the same, bread to toast and pieces of baguette, jam, eggs, cheese and fruit and was always replenished in small quantities. (but it is and remains Gambia of course) Given that it is not located on the sea, you are obliged to go outside and rent a lounger at a bar or fruit / fruit juice tent. You can eat something in the street, with a multitude of tourist taxis, but the Senegambia dot (if you know the way +/- 400 m on foot or taxi) offers many possibilities for good food."
Swiss Boutique Hotel
"We stayed outside the 'tourist season', so the hotel wasn't quite up to date yet. But apart from that, it was fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful, the chef prepares the most delicious [local] dishes for you, and the owner talks your ear off and is genuinely interested in you. The hotel is situated in a wonderfully quiet location, right on the beach, and has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious. There is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans. Electricity is generated using solar panels and was more than sufficient. If you appreciate peace and quiet, this hotel is highly recommended!"
Palm Beach Hotel
"This is a simple, clean hotel and I d just like to compliment the management and staff who over the years have given the hotel a good reputation. The staff remain year after year and it's good to return and see the same smiling faces. Our room had Aircon and a good shower. The pool is clean and good for cooling off. There was plenty of entertainment and a few bars/restaurants on the beach. I recently had occasion to need to go to the hospital (a private clinic) and Raj, the general manager organised the taxi and made it all as plain sailing as possible. He is an absolute gem. Very efficient and also calm and kind. Our third stay at this hotel. Some may want super modern and sleek with masses of choice at breakfast but we found it perfect for our needs."
Seaview Gardens Hotel
"The Seaview Hotel is in a great location as it is a 5 min walk to a number of amazing food places including the Tropix Mall and 10 min walk to the Senegambia Strip. Location is all that it has in its favour. The Seaview is located next to a music venue, so you may be kept awake until 4am by all night music functions on weekends. The rooms are a decent size, but both external and internal doors require repairing and a refurb. Aircon and internet working perfectly. TV’s in rooms could be bigger as 17 inch isn’t suitable for size of room. Breakfast is basic, so don’t expect much variation from eggs, boiled baked beans and pancakes."
Senegambia Beach Hotel
"The Senegambia Hotel is located in a beautiful park and has a charm all its own. The room was clean, simply but adequately furnished. A small refrigerator and safe are available. The bathroom lacks a bit of counter space, but the shower with decent water pressure was a definite plus. The pools are great, and the beach is a bit unusual but also very beautiful. Friendly staff. We will choose this hotel again and again, especially given its prime location (right on the Strip)."
Mansea Beach Hotel
"Rooms are horible, no warm water or no water at all, broken shower, everything quite old and worn down, no kettle, glasses or anything that would make a stay pleasant. Manager rather rude."
Forest View Apartments
"We have just arrived back from Senegambia and stayed in one of the Forrest view apartments for 1 week. The apartment was large with 3 double bedrooms, one ensuite. Beds were clean as was the furniture and toilets but the walls and styling around the doors had months of hand prints on them and looked quite dirty. We were in room B4, our windows all faced on to the back of the Motherland Bar/Nightclub and the noise was unbelievable and went on until 5am. The noice was not just confined to the visitors at the back of the apartment as others we spoke to could hear it too. The staff apologised and said they couldn't do anything about it. Very well equipped apartments. Staff were all lovely and very welcoming and friendly. The pool area was very nice and always being cleaned. There is about 12 beds to use if lying by the pool. The area in which the apartments are situated is fantastic and sits on The Strip, a very lively area with lots of restaurants, bars and entertainment. If I was to write a negative it would have to be about the air pollution from the hundreds of old cars that run up and down the strip during the day and night, not that it is really anything to do with the apartments, but you could smell and taste the fumes."
Baobab Holiday Resort
"It was my first time at the Baobab Gambia. It's actually a lovely hotel, but I'll never go back in August because the season hasn't started yet and every day from 2 p.m. lots of mothers and children come and use the swimming pool in a great atmosphere. The hotel management's explanation is that they need the income. What's much worse is that every evening there's a very, very loud disco for the public at the swimming pool, sometimes until the early hours. Sleeping is only possible with tablets - I even had to get more from the local pharmacy."
