"There was nothing not to like starting from heart-warming reception, and throughout our stay during which we were the only couple in the property, who were kindly assisted by some 20 staff members. This was just our luck to visit the place on weekdays and during lower season, thus we had an absolute privacy. Only us and nature! The chalets, restaurant, viewing terraces, and the pools areas were spotlessly clean, well designed, and professionally served. Great experience!"

"Recently stayed for 2 nights at The Desert Grace while visiting Sossusvlei. We enjoyed the lodge overall — the rooms are well appointed with great dune views, and we especially appreciated the private plunge pool and deck area. One thing to be aware of is the location, as the lodge is around 60km from Sesriem, the entrance to Sossusvlei. We booked our excursion through the lodge, however the guests from Desert Grace were combined with guests from other Gondwana properties within the reserve. Together with the additional drive to and from Sesriem, this added around an extra 3 hours to our day trip, which was not ideal. As mentioned in other reviews, breakfast and dinner are buffet style. We generally prefer à la carte dining, however compared to many other buffets we experienced in Namibia, the standard here was definitely above average."

"We stayed two nights at Namib Outpost when visiting Sossusvlei and found it a wonderful place to stay. The Villa was beautifully decorated with lots of room and everything you needed. As it was warm we slept outside in the extra large bed on the verandah and it was amazing to sleep under the stars. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and the food was lovely. Our guide Johannes gave us a great tour of the dunes, Sesriem canyon and took us for a sunset drive. We highly recommend Namib Outpost if you are visiting Sossusvlei."

"A fabulous small boutique lodge with beautifully decorated rooms featuring modern Namibian-inspired design. The infinity pool overlooks the desert, warthogs roam the property, and the night skies are spectacular. Breakfast and dinner were included. Dinner was excellent, featuring giant prawns and oryx, although breakfast was comparatively weak. Although the lodge is about 30 minutes from the park entrance, the substantial savings made the drive well worthwhile. More importantly, it was a peaceful respite from the crowds closer to the park. Tours are available through the lodge. Travelers should note that only the rooms closest to the main lodge have reliable Wi-Fi, so request one of those if internet access is important."

"Tsauchab offers beautiful, clean, and comfortable accommodation. The Lodge is child friendly and the kids had a blast. The owners are hands-on, friendly, and fascinating, providing excellent service. It’s their dream brought to life, filled with unique handmade sculptures and décor that tell a story. The restaurant food was outstanding. From here, we visited Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, just over an hour’s drive away. The only downside was the condition of the roads in that area. But we loved every minute!"

"Beautiful new property by Gondwana Collection. Slightly on the expensive side, but absolutely worth it. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, each offering private views of the desert. A lovely touch was the small splash pool in every room, perfect for relaxing while taking in the stunning surroundings. The staff were incredibly accommodating, especially with our special meal requests, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
