Perfect
LLianlianqingchenThis hotel is really nice; the lobby is grand, and the service attitude is good. Most importantly, the hotel's buffet is delicious, and the beef potstickers are absolutely amazing (yyds)! It's my first time having freshly made ones at a five-star hotel, and it was incredibly satisfying. We watched fireworks from the hotel at night; honestly, they were a bit far, so if you're specifically going for the fireworks, it's better to watch them closer. The front desk even gave a small gift to my child when we left. The only downside was that the air conditioning felt a bit stuffy at night – not cold enough when off, but stuffy and a bit dry when on. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and the highlight is definitely the delicious buffet for its price point. We had a wonderful New Year's Day here! 😄

Room: Fantastic
Beds were huge & comfortable - we had an upgrade to a larger room. The shower and shower toiletries were so refreshing.
Towels were lovely soft & clean.
Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time. Lived the rice, fried eggs, noodles , fruit vegetables. Even clams one morning. Great variety of drinks.
The chief and staff were very happy & helpful.
Extremely clean.
I used the laundry room which also had a tumble dryer. This was useful due to travelling on to Beijing afterwards.
The other family rooms have slides and are duplex.
Sue the swimming pool is great in the summer.
Excellent price , excellent choice for Families going to Disneyland and other local trips.
Loved being able to go along the local street to see Shanghai local food, shops and life.
Seems to be a family run business which is lovely to support.
Location is great for the local shops , food, 7/11 supermarket for snacks & drinks
Restaurants and food for locals which was delicious and a great price.
Shuttle bus excellent. Taxi ( Didi) was £3 back from Disneyland . £11 to Shanghai Greenhouse Gardens ( evening ticket £5.40) this is an amazing trip not to be missed.

MM361034****This hotel is the absolute pinnacle, I can't even put it into words. Everything, from the facilities to the service, was a top-tier experience!
They even gave us a special little gift on Christmas Eve, and the custom design on the room key card was exactly what I had hoped for – I'll cherish it forever! The food was nutritious, healthy, and delicious, and the drinks menu offered both Western and Chinese options. Celebrating Christmas here, I took so many amazing photos. This whole experience was precisely what I had envisioned for Shanghai!
Every single staff member had a smile on their face and made eye contact. The foreign female manager at the Italian restaurant, in her red suit, was so chic and beautiful, and on top of that, her Chinese was incredibly fluent and authentic! When she started speaking, I actually questioned my own nationality!

MM270941****Came for a relaxing vacation, and in winter, Banyan Tree's special rooms with the 'Yuexin Pool' are a top choice! The room has a heated private pool which is super comfortable. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by the scent of cinnamon essential oil; the Christmas atmosphere is really strong, and they even have craft activities. I'd definitely go back to experience it again if I get the chance. Cynthia called to check on us during check-out, which was very thoughtful. I'll choose this place again next time.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night during a business trip and overall had a smooth experience.
The price is very reasonable, and the hotel itself is fairly ok. They also gave me an upgrade when I checked in, but I can’t say how that room was different to the one that I booked. The rooms and breakfast were both okay — nothing outstanding, but perfectly fine for a short stay.
One of the highlights is the convenient location, with many dinner options nearby, which was great for our needs.
I appreciated the welcome cookie, although it was quite hard and crumbly — a nice gesture, but not very tasty.
One small inconvenience was that I couldn’t get a Chinese invoice (fapiao) directly at the hotel; instead, they told me to request it through the booking app, which I found a bit unusual.
Despite these minor issues, it was an easy and pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again if I need a hotel in this area at this price point.

__WeChat16918****An Urban Luxury Journey Exceeding All Expectations
My recent stay at the Pullman Shanghai Jing An truly made me understand the full meaning of ”five-star service.” From the moment I stepped into the hotel, every detail exuded quality and attentiveness.
Unbeatable Location
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Jing'an District, just a 5-minute walk from Shanghai Railway Station, with Metro Lines 1, 3, and 4 practically at its doorstep. This makes it incredibly convenient for reaching The Bund, the Jing'an Temple commercial area, or even the Hongqiao transportation hub. What's even more remarkable is that despite its central location, the guest rooms maintained a surprising tranquility, with double-glazed windows perfectly sealing off the city's hustle and bustle.
Thoughtful Room Experience
The Executive Deluxe Room I stayed in flawlessly blended modern design with practical comfort:
· Floor-to-ceiling windows offered views of bustling traffic by day and dazzling neon lights by night.
· The custom Sealy mattress paired with high-quality linens provided the best sleep I've had in years.
· The spacious and smart bathroom featured a powerful rainforest shower and botanical scents from premium Australian toiletries, which were incredibly relaxing.
· Thoughtful amenities like an air purifier and multi-functional charging ports catered to the true needs of modern travelers.
Delightful Dining Experience
Breakfast was unbelievably lavish: freshly made local noodles with various toppings, authentic French croissants, a fresh seafood station… The coffee quality was particularly commendable, easily on par with a professional café. The evening happy hour at the Executive Lounge not only offered a professional selection of beverages but also showcased impressive culinary skills with its exquisite snacks.
Heartwarming Service Details
The staff demonstrated a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth:
· The front desk quickly recognized my membership status, efficiently handled check-in, and thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities.
· Room service was incredibly prompt, and the turndown service not only tidied the room but also thoughtfully left a weather forecast card.
· The concierge provided precise and practical recommendations for local dining and transportation, even helping me secure a reservation at a popular local restaurant.
Comprehensive and Thoughtful Facilities
· The 24-hour fitness center was meticulously maintained.
· The constant-temperature swimming pool had crystal-clear water, and the experience was especially pleasant during less crowded times.
· The business center was well-equipped, and its quiet environment was perfect for urgent work.
What impressed me most was on the day of checkout. Due to a late flight, the hotel proactively extended my checkout time until the afternoon and offered luggage storage service. This kind of service mentality, where the guest's needs are genuinely prioritized, is truly rare among luxury hotels today.
The Pullman Shanghai Jing An is more than just a place to stay; it feels like ”another home” for me in Shanghai. It combines the standards and quality of an international brand with a deep understanding of local guest needs. For business travelers seeking efficiency or tourists hoping to deeply experience Shanghai, this is an impeccable choice. I am already planning my next stay and will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Shanghai.

AAnonymous UserThanks to the front desk for upgrading us to the Grand Suite! This old building has a story to tell, with exquisite and tasteful decor that's very well maintained, making you feel like you're in an ancient European hotel suite. On the service side, the Chinese restaurant tastes good, but breakfast is too simple. Besides vegetable salad, fruit, and bread, there's just a noodle station and a few à la carte items from a menu. The quality of the breakfast definitely doesn't match the room rate, especially considering it was during the New Year's Day holiday. There were few staff members, but they were still enthusiastic. It's clear that the hotel management has declined significantly compared to over ten years ago; everything seems to be about cutting costs. For instance, in the suite, tissue paper is only available in the bathroom, not on the living room table. You barely see any housekeeping staff in the corridors, and I won't even mention many other small details. Service is the soul of a five-star hotel, and at some point, it seems to have shifted from providing a 'home away from home' experience to a simple landlord-tenant relationship. Perhaps this is the current reality for five-star hotels in China.

DDengmamaThe package deal I got was excellent value for money. The room decor was stylish and modern, and the lobby layout was quite innovative. Plus, it was super convenient to access Xintiandi directly from the hotel's entrance/exit.
The breakfast spread was incredibly generous, and the local snacks tasted great. The free happy hour for guests on the first floor (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) was fantastic, with a wide selection and excellent service 👍
I'll definitely be back for another stay! 😍

BBaishuimuThe hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean, and the lounge team provides excellent service. It was a very pleasant stay.
I booked this stay because my child had an exam and we needed a hotel close to the test center. I also specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel was very accommodating. During our stay, the room was cleaned promptly, and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs.
The hotel's 38th-floor lounge is definitely worth a visit. It offers great views and timely, attentive service. The afternoon tea selection was also very good. The ambiance is elegant, making it perfect for a casual drink or a business meeting.
