"Basic cheap rooms, bedding and carpets we're clean thankfully but the place overall seems run down and a bit grotty, it is in a good location though, tesco is just across the road and it's 5mins through town to the beach, the carpark would benefit from designated bays imo to stop people parking willy-nilly, we struggled to park our truck because of this, All in all if you just want a cheap bed it does the job. The 1 staff we saw was friendly and helpful."

"Good service, lovely staff. Disappointed with food range options on this visit, not a vast menu, which is normally fine as food good but on this occasion options not available it was only 7pm and not too busy. The seafood platter and prawn cocktail were not as good as our previous visit, and we did not feel value for money."

"Stayed in Room 2 with sea view. Staff shown us an extremely narrow steep staircase that we struggled to get through door and climb with backpack. Corridors smelt strongly of damp dog that was so bad it was nauseating (and i have a dog). The airfreshners couldn't mask the stench. Room had coffee, tea and a biscuit. Had not used coffee machine. All windows broken and couldn't be closed to eliminate music from bar next door. Bathroom mat stained, basin sink dirty round plug hole, mirror shelf dirty, floor tiles cracked, door had gaps. Constant slamming and banging from pub entrance door, the whole room shuck. This could easily be sorted. The accommodation is so tired and worn its in need of a major revamp. Sorry I won't be returning"

"I guess just to give balance based on other reviews, we recently stayed in apartment 12 and found it to be a spacious, clean apartment with no real issues, apart from not providing any standard household items like washing up liquid, tea towels, tea, coffee etc - this was communicated to us a few days in advance so we knew to bring some albeit it is a bit annoying. Before arrival I was a bit worried based on recent reviews, but the apartment was clean, with no issues with bedding, towels etc. I also found the owner helpful when contacting about key codes etc. Based on this, me and my family would stay again. Odd how some people are experiencing the complete opposite."

"Stayed here ,at Mount Lavinia for two nights.Easy, close parking. The room was just right- plenty of room, v.comfy bed , right amount of lights, sockets, T.v, two large comfortable arm chairs, tea, coffee, hairdryers, plenty of storage space- could even hide suitcases away! Nice clean bathroom, enough space,ledges , hooks etc. to settle things in! Breakfast downstairs, comfortable, plenty of choice - yoghurt, a few cereals, fresh fruit ,a choice of pastries, crumpet, buns, bread. And a lovely young girl Maya who was there to help, advise, chat. A very enjoyable stay, thankyou."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay. All the staff were very friendly and the service was first class. The location is perfect and it felt a very cosy place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and Nathan who served us could not have been any more helpful. Highly recommend."
