"Yet again another warm welcome from the great staff at this brilliant hostel. Its perfect for the 1940s Weekend in town 5 mins walk from the centre bus stop and train station with parking. We found our perfect room with double bed over looking the lovely pine trees. It's clean and comfortable and great to have a self catering kitchen where everything works. Thank you Amy and team you are doing a brilliant job. Our cooked breakfast was a special treat excellent value Ralph had two helpings. Just a shame yha no longer stocks fentimans ginger beer."

Burlington Berties

"We have just got back from a lovely 3 night stay at Burlington Berties. The hotel was really nice and clean with the most beautiful decor. Couldn't fault our room, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets very clean. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice on the menu, however ordering something that wasn't on the menu seemed to be a problem, like something as simple as a mushroom omelette,when I asked for this i was told the chef dosnt do this! The next day for breakfast a young girl served me, so I asked if I could have the smoked fish and poached egg ( which was on the menu) I also asked if I could possibly have a grilled tomato and mushrooms too, the young girl politely took my order, then I was told from one of the owners that "if I'd of took your order you wouldn't of got that" were her exact words, which made me and our other guest's feel very uncomfortable. We have been to other hotels before and this has never been a problem. I feel that the money we spent to stay at your beautiful hotel, gave us the right to ask for 1 extra grilled tomato and a few grilled mushrooms. At the end of our breakfast, the other owner came and had a lovely chat to us about how they had restored Burlington Berties, it was a really nice chat,maybe I should of let her know how I had been made to feel. Who knows."

Mount Lavinia

"Stayed here ,at Mount Lavinia for two nights.Easy, close parking. The room was just right- plenty of room, v.comfy bed , right amount of lights, sockets, T.v, two large comfortable arm chairs, tea, coffee, hairdryers, plenty of storage space- could even hide suitcases away! Nice clean bathroom, enough space,ledges , hooks etc. to settle things in! Breakfast downstairs, comfortable, plenty of choice - yoghurt, a few cereals, fresh fruit ,a choice of pastries, crumpet, buns, bread. And a lovely young girl Maya who was there to help, advise, chat. A very enjoyable stay, thankyou."

"Absolutely lovely the restaurant and outside seating outside were lovely we stayed with friends for the night WOW the rooms perfect size very cleans a sea view you couldn’t ask for more One of us were vegan they went out of their way to get vegan milk and the vegan breakfast (and non vegan) was one of the best The staff were fantastic ❤️"
