"From the moment we arrived to checking out this hotel experience was just faultless. All of the staff are happy, attentive and offer outstanding customer service. I have stayed in many high end hotels but nothing compares to my experience here. The rooms are lovely, clean and functional. Location was paramount for the view of the mountains and closeness to gondola for skiing. The food is excellent, varied and fresh. Again all the staff are happy and genuinely want to give you that special experience. We loved our stay and will not stay anywhere else from now on for our ski trips. Well done Piolets 👏"

"This is the hotel I chose to enjoy Andorra skiing with my family! It takes 2 minutes to get to the slope by van to the ski resort, and the van is always waiting in front of the gondola tower. It was easy to rent a ski right at the ski rental shop and gave me a lift ticket at the hotel. Thank you for your service. It's a really unforgettable trip!!"

"One of the worst hotels in Soldeu, the skiing and resort are great though, just stay somewhere else. For not much more money you get so much better. Himalaia across road for example I have stayed in Soldeu before and it offers a lot. Its not pretty by Alpine standards but is good value with lots of great skiing and hardly ever a wait for lifts, even for the morning gonola up the mountain we never had to wait even at peak times. Proximity to slopes, ski lockers at Gondola station, number of bars and restaurants its all worth considering for your next holiday The hotel itself was a big let down. Tiny rooms, very basic expect you to pay 15 euros for a key to the safe in your room, no lounge area, the bar is basic and feels unwelcoming and a bit like a corridor. Wifi slow almost unusable when people back from skiing. but despite all of this the food was the biggest let down. Breakfast was awful, the same limited offering every day, there wasn't a single hot offering. There was only cold boiled eggs, in a ski resort where you want a hearty breakfast. I asked if fried or poached eggs were an option, just told no! It was so poor we paid 12 euro's each per day to eat at the Himalaia directly opposite on three mornings. Weirdly the standard of the evening meal was quite nice, just not the limited choice. There is no buffet, it is al a carte but its the same all week with a couple of nights where one special is offered. Starters consist of three salads, pate, egg mayonnaise, or 2 soups. Who wants salad after a days skiing. I had soup 6 nights out of seven, whilst pleasant its not what I want as my dining experience on holiday. Main courses were the same basically its meat- chicken 2 ways, sausage, pork or beef none with any sauce with rice jacket potato or chips, the choice of vegetable all 7 days was green beans. Then about 4 choices of desert. I had tarte tatin 6 nights out of 7. Drinks are expensive, a can of Guiness was 7 euro and the cheapest bottle of wine 40 euro. I have visited nearly all the hotels in Soldeu as its a small resort and my knees don't allow me to ski 9-5 and I can say every other hotel I've been to is nicer and most weeks certainly with Crystal SkiI Hotel Brussels isn't cheap enough to justify it as a viable choice. Its position is good but the resort is so small every hotel isn't far from everything"

"I think Andorran three star must equate to UK two star. Would be a good hostel, but it is rather a poor hotel. Cleanliness in some bedrooms is iffey and food quality is very variable. If you like lots of cold chips this is the place for you. Front steps urgently need repair."

"We’ve just had a great week here. Laura and her team are so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is comfy, warm and not too big so it has a ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Although it’s slightly isolated, getting about is no issue as you can ski in/out or take the resort minibus if you prefer and it’s easy to walk up to the rd to catch the bus into Soldeu or El tarter. We would definitely return here. We’ve had a fabulous time!"
