"This hotel was very good in all respects except for the food. Staff were lovely rooms excellent. It would be 5star but for the food. Both at breakfast and dinner people were warming food up in the microwave because plates were cold. In particular the evening meal was buffet and as so often happens the food was poor in quality and flavour. Pointless being a big selection and eat as much as you want if it’s tasteless. Would I go back? yes if they change the food."

"1. Location. The location is 10 out of 10. Firstly, there is a bus stop right next to the hotel. We traveled from Barcelona by public bus. Got on the bus at the airport and comfortably drove straight to the hotel door. The same way we got back to the airport. The hotel is located very close to the ski lift (about +/- 100 meters). 5 minutes and you are there. There are also a large number of all kinds of cafes, restaurants, bars in the area. For every taste and budget. 2. Hotel. The hotel staff is helpful, polite and friendly. Always very fast service and resolution of any issues. I would like to say a special thank you to all the staff for organizing a comfortable stay at the hotel. The room is not big but very cozy. The bathroom has all the necessary accessories. The room cleaning is excellent. What especially pleased me about the room - it was very warm in it. The heating, unlike many hotels in the mountains, was excellent. We turned it on for a short period when we needed to dry something. The radiators instantly became very hot. Even without turning on the heating, we often kept the window open to get fresh air and the room still remained warm. Food at the hotel is beyond all praise. We had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast, in my opinion, is so called continental: different juices, coffee, tea, muesli, croissants, bread, ham, cheese, jam, honey, fruits... To be honest I would prefer to eat some hot dish for breakfast. At least scrambled eggs. But it depends on preference. Anyway there was enough food for breakfast. But as for dinners, they are a masterpiece! From the extensive menu you can choose any dish as a starter (salad, soup, cold appetizer), main course and dessert. There is also a soup of the day, which changes daily. What is more, several times a week the restaurant offers some special dish that is not on the menu (ribs, pizza, lasagna, chicken in mushroom sauce, etc.). This is a separate culinary delight! But even if you don't take into account these specially prepared dishes, all the food on the menu is very tasty. I like it when the beef in the dishes roasted to the medium rare, and everything was cooked to perfection! Ski storage at the hotel is also very good. The hotel and the ski lift have an agreement on storage of equipment. Even though the hotel is located near the ski lift, there is no need to carry equipment there. In the building of the lift itself there is a storage room where you leave all your things for storage in a warm room. This system is sooo convenient! 3. Soldeu as a place of staying. I really liked this place. There is everything for a good holliday: bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, pharmacy, supermarkets. There is also an excellent SPA center with a large selection of saunas, various jacuzzi and a huge swimming pool with access to the open air overlooking the pistes. By the way, the SPA center is also a stone's throw from the hotel. From Soldeo there are quite frequent buses to other towns and to the c"

"I'm not really sure where to start! The hotel just left me lost for words. I would call hotel vall ski more of a hostel rather than a hotel. The room had mould on the walls, broken curtains, the door had a hole in it, the bathroom was still dirty and the beds were rock hard camp beds. Our room was above the kitchens and couldn't sleep due to the noise. A positive to the room was there was plenty of storage and the rooms were spacious. The food was a running joke on our coach trip, there was lots of food available from the buffet however very little was edible. The bar staff were non existent and when they did appear they couldn't wait to get back to their office, the beer turned out to be off so most of the coach party had to walk up the road to a petrol station to buy their own! I would not recommend this hotel and can not believe that ledger would use it as a main hotel on its tours!"

"We’ve just had a great week here. Laura and her team are so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is comfy, warm and not too big so it has a ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Although it’s slightly isolated, getting about is no issue as you can ski in/out or take the resort minibus if you prefer and it’s easy to walk up to the rd to catch the bus into Soldeu or El tarter. We would definitely return here. We’ve had a fabulous time!"

The apartment is a little walk down the hill from soldue village however the bus stops outside if you don't fancy the walk. "
