Spa hotels in Lower Franconia

Amazing ozon odour in the room, smells very clean. Everything is very clean, lovely. Too bad I couldn't stay any longer.

For a hotel located by the lake with a relatively high rating, I naturally expected a comfortable and reasonably spacious room with a nice lake view. However, I booked a single room and was honestly very disappointed upon entering. The room was extremely small, the bed felt cramped, and the ceiling was very low due to the sloped roof which means I couldn’t even sit upright on the bed comfortably. Even worse, there was no proper view through the window at all. The window was tiny, making the room quite dark, and it didn’t face anything pleasant. The photos on the website were also quite misleading and did not match the actual room I received. For a room priced at around €150 per night, this kind of space and condition feels unreasonable. To be fair, the facilities in the whole are fairly good. There is a wellness area, a gym, and a restaurant with great food and a nice view. However, the restaurant is also quite expensive, and breakfast is not included and must be paid separately. Given the pricing, I don’t think these aspects deserve excessive praise. What really matters is the room itself. Paying €150 per night for a room of about 15 square meters, with an average ceiling height of less than 2.2 meters and a very tiny window facing other’s balcony, honestly made me feel misled. In my opinion, the room quality does not match the price at all.

The hotel is built in the winegrowings and we have not liked it from an optical point of view. To be reached well with public transport. It is too far to the centre of Volkach. Friendly reception at the reception. However, the location of the room was explained only to go to the room itself - without help in the baggage. Rooms are sufficiently large and attractive. Also a very large balcony to the wine mountains. Unfortunately, there is only a very small open box. Double bed booked - get two single beds moved together. Room cleaning only if the card is hanging on the door - and it takes a long time to make it. When you are back in the room, you will be asked to go to the balcony in the meantime. No fresh towels ... Spa area very nice, especially the sweeping beds are very pleasant. Swimming area with massage dishes beautiful and sufficient. Sauna area nice. Breakfast: very good coffee in various variations, juices good, good cheese and sauce choice. The foods offered are good but there is nothing special (no salmon, no glass sect). The hotel is still very new and wants to work modernly. The stay was ”OK” as a whole, but no more.

It would be a beautiful wellness hotel if you were to look for more quality and functionality. For example, there were only the first and last day of bread from baker to breakfast, the other days of supermarket backup of the least quality. The steam bath and the infrared cabin were defect, but it was not written anywhere and was not communicated before booking. At request we were told you to wait for the technician. However, in the 6 days when we were not there any repair and another assessment we could find that the same was already the case three months ago. Room cleaning and towel change are only made on an express request, even toilet paper must be taken at the reception. For the price you can expect the wellness facilities to work with those advertised, otherwise it would have to be communicated before arrival. And breakfast is also a lot of air up in terms of selection and quality.
