Amazing
CChaojimaliWe arrived at the Cape Weligama Hotel at 2 pm on September 30, 2023. This hotel is on a cliff and is one of the three Roland & Chateau Group hotels in Sri Lanka. Whales can sometimes be seen from the hotel from November to April. The location is good, a bit similar to the Bulgari Hotel in Bali, but not as big as the Bulgari and the service is average. Dinner can basically only be eaten from the hotel, which feels not cheap, and the breakfast is very rich. You can see lizards and peacocks from the hotel. Recently, a new naturalist has arrived, who can take children to collect leaves and observe various animals, which is very interesting. However, I only stayed in this hotel once to experience it, and I will not stay there again.
GGuest UserAmazing view of the ocean from our room - the property sits right in front of the ocean. From the verandah in front of your room, you can watch the waves the whole day, there is no need to go to any of the beaches in Mirissa. Breakfast was delicious too, and they even cooked the fish we caught (for a fee). However, don't expect the same creature comforts of an international 4 or 5 star hotel despite being priced higher. The furniture is also rather dated and the room was not very clean. Overall a decent and memorable experience.
DDavid YeanThe hotel has a convenient location, clean rooms, a large swimming pool, and is close to the beach. There are also plenty of shops nearby to explore. The rooms are a bit on the small side, so for larger groups, it might be better to book multiple rooms. Be sure to get to the hotel breakfast early, as it gets incredibly crowded!
EEnglish RoseAbsolutely beautiful colonial-style house with antique furniture and real character! Everything was clean and carefully presented. We were greeted with refreshing drinks and shown to a stunning room with TWO balconies and its own little attic. We really enjoyed the delicious and varied breakfasts, which much better coffee than we drank elsewhere. The pool was also a huge benefit after a hot day exploring Mirissa. The Spice House is very near the beaches and plenty of nice restaurants and cafes. Its staff were friendly and helpful - and we even had a nice chat with the owners one evening. Definitely recommend!
GGuest UserSky Garden Mini Hotel is a fantastic hotel and an exceptional value. The staff is friendly and helpful (especially DarShan and Cami), it is very close to the beach, the rooms are large and clean, the compound is tropical (There are even wild monkeys running around, but just be careful as they will steal food that you leave out and possibly valuables if they're feeling particularly cheeky.), and there are many restaurants/shops nearby. All-in-all, a fantastic stay!
AAnonymous UserMy wife and I stayed here during our vacation in Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the high Google ratings. The location really impressed us. The hotel is literally a step away from the beach and less than five minutes’ walk to town, which made it very convenient. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the waves was easily the best part of the stay.
The lobby was simple but acceptable, and there is a seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.
At check-in, there was a small hiccup. I booked through Trip.com, but they couldn’t find my booking at first. After about ten minutes, they managed to sort it out and confirmed that the booking came via Agoda. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, even offering us a drink on arrival.
Our room on the second floor had a great view of the sea. The shower had good water pressure, although the bathroom could use better ventilation. The toiletries seemed diluted, so we ended up using our own.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning became a real problem. It leaked so badly that the room flooded twice, soaking my shoes. Despite my request for a pail to manage the water, they initially only gave floor mats, which was very frustrating. By the time they finally sent a pail, it was too late. We barely slept that night because of the constant dripping sound.
Overall, the location and friendliness of the staff were strong points, but the poor handling of the air conditioning issue really spoiled our experience.
KKobe & KyleWake N Flow was amazing. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt at home. The staff was all so kind and courteous when we asked questions or needed help getting around the city. The property itself is currently under small renovation but everything was kept clean and out of the way. The location was ideal because it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the grocery store.
GGuest UserA cute little hotel right on the beach. Super nice view. The room looked really great, with a few minor issues in the bathroom (leaking pipe under the sink, leaky shower wall) that we could overlook. All the staff were super nice, helpful and courteous. The tuk tuk takes you to the beautiful Mirissa Beach in 2 minutes. We were very satisfied.
NN_travellerThis hotel was amazing. They gave us a really good room. The staff was friendly and treated us well. The location is closer to good beaches, bars and restaurants. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
