Ocean Bliss by Sugar Coliving
"We visited this hotel for the Valentines day, and it absolutely corresponds the photos. Right next to the hotel there is a nice restaurant for nreakfast/dinner. Since the place itself doesn't have a restaurant, only common kitchen where you can cook, of need to."
Ayurvie Weligama - Ayurvedic Retreat - Thema Collection
"Ayurvie Weligama - Ayurvedic bliss A beautiful and calming place that feels deeply healing. Personal Ayurvedic treatments, full-body massage and herbal steam. Simple and nourishing food without coffee or sugar that brings balance. Yoga with ocean view, morning flow and sunset yin. A perfect place to reset, restore and breathe "
Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella
"We stayed here for 10 days over Easter this year, as a family of 4 with two teenage kids. We were looking for rest, sun and good food. This hotel is in a perfect location on the most beautiful beach. A 10 minute walk to Turtle Bay, where you can swim with turtles and a quick Tuk Tuk ride to Hiriketika, which has lots of shops and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. They are very friendly and kind and breakfast was fresh and delicious. A lovely owner too. 10 out of 10, would recommend."
Dickwella Resort and Spa
"We had the loveliest time here and it was really special. The staff were the kindest, most attentive people and made the whole time one to never forget."
Villa Hillcrest Weligama
"This was such a beautiful and tranquil place that had great views of the jungle and even the ocean in the distance. We spent 2 amazing days here just relaxing, enjoying the pool, taking in the scenery and enjoying the scenery. The private villa was very spacious and well decorated and was tucked away so we felt like we were in our own house. The infinity pool has an incredible view and since you are staying at a small boutique place it is not crowded. All the food was prepared from scratch and delicious. I would recommend staying and hope to come back."
Nomads Hideaway Near Matara Railway Station
"I was very impressed with the owners, an elderly couple. They were lovely and took great care of us. The room was clean; this room was excellent!"
Eraeliya Villas & Gardens
"That was more than amazing. The way they treat people and nature is just incredible. Breakfast eated in own balcony or by the pool, dinner with a fresh fish and organic vegetables. Sound of the waves will stay with me for long time. Thank you. All was perfect!"
Casa Smeralda
"The hotel was in front of the sea which was amazing to wake up to!"
The Rainforest Ecolodge - Sinharaja with Shuttle Service from Car Park
"Staying at the Eco Lodge was a wonderful grounding experience, with spectacular views, lovely rooms and great service. The standout experience of our stay there was the unforgettable rainforest experience with Shanta. We had an incredible 3‑hour guided walk through the Sinharaja World Heritage rainforest with Shanta, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. His knowledge of the rainforest, its ecosystems, and the huge variety of plants was exceptional — every step came with a fascinating insight. A standout moment was seeing the Ceylon Stone Sucker fish in the rock pools. Shanta guided us safely across the slippery rocks and helped us navigate the steep, muddy sections of the trail with such care and patience. We felt completely supported the whole way.If you want a guide who is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely passionate about the rainforest, Shanta is the one!"

Cape Weligama - Relais and Chateaux
"Amazing stay! Villa was big and cozy, and the amenities were great! Though the pool was shared between two villas, it still had a lot of privacy."
Vis Ta VIE -Thema Collection
"Vis ta Vie is ideally located on the southern coast with a breath taking ocean view from all the rooms and the hotel lounge . The quaint boutique style hotel was our first time experience we styed in the suit and a super deluxe . Quiet and ideal for a private holiday backed by an excellant service provided by the villa manager Nihal Rupasinghe and his dynamic and courteous staff . All in all great food and and a very comfortable stay ."
Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa
"Fantastic hotel in front of surf beach."
W15 Weligama
"Everything about the hotel is just made for fun and peaceful times. The view from our room was just breathtaking, the service from the front office, housekeeping and security were very helpful. The food was amazing and we loved the vibes. Everyday there was a DJ or Band playing keeping the vibes high. The access to beach is just easy and breakfast views were just too good to be true. The room was very clean and smells fresh. We highly recommend to visit this hotel. We will definitely be back again soon."
Cascara Resort Weligama
"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"
Beacon by the Bay Villas and Suites by the Clarks
"So we did our avurudu trip this year here. Firstly it has the Dondra lighthouse directly opposite right above turquoise water which made a beautiful view each time we looked out. The beach is pretty secluded and a just need to follow a little footpath. Lovely property and one of the novelty rooms is a bed made out rock, crazy right?!?! But it’s so pretty Rest of the rooms are also spacious. Now this was not even the best part because the kids absolutely loved it and they were super accommodating from food to the mess and the noise. Really recommend booking out the whole space as we did Shoutout to the staff who even helped source a cake for my dad’s birthday in the middle of avurudu. Definitely going back"
Gaia Soul
Paradise Beach Resort & Diving School
"This is a terrible hotel. Lousy rooms. Spiders. AC non functional. Fan not working. Staff attitude is horrendous. Rude ******. The food is yuks. I have never stayed in a worse place. Don't visit even if you are paid to."
360 Rainforest
"Fabulous experience in luxury ‘tents’. Rooms were on stilts, with en-suite facilities, water, tea and coffee provided. Very comfortable just 50 m from the edge of the Rain Forest. Beautifully cooked simple but delicious food for dinner and breakfast, possibly the best we had in our 14 day tour. Great hike through the rainforest with a local guide ending in a refreshing waterfall dip."
Handun Villas
"Handun Villas went above and beyond in every way possible, the service was amazing, the staff was amazing and the location was something I no longer thought existed in down south Sri Lanka. We also had a couple of requests and plans which was executed perfectly to the dot by the team at Handun Villas and they also have their own restaurant right on the beach. Definitely would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful villa inside a coconut tree estate with the beach right across the road."
LakRaj Heritage
"The view of the room facing the sea is spectacular. The hotel is not new, the manager of the reception not too friendly, but the staff is nice and we could drive to Mirissa beach. Swimming in their man-made ocean pool is not the attraction of this hotel. This is a 3 star hotel with a great location."
Nil Diya Beach Resort
"I arrived at 16:00, the room was not ready. They started cleaning quickly. I came to the room, the floors were wet. There was cement on the floor, no tiles! There was one towel, 1 tube of shampoo and that's it. A lizard was running around the room, big ants. I am attaching a photo of the breakfast. I chose a 4-star hotel, but as it turned out, the star rating does not matter. There is no soundproofing at all. There are a lot of dogs, they bark all night! There is a supermarket nearby, but you have to walk through a dark street in the evening. There are nice cafes nearby, 5 minutes to the sea, 10 minutes to the beach. There is a swimming pool, but it feels like the water there has not been changed for a long time, very cloudy. But the staff is smiling, as if they have the best hotel"
Talalla Retreat
"Talalla Retreat was the perfect way to end our trip. Quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty, it truly felt like a little slice of paradise. We loved the delicious buffet meals, refreshing smoothies, and the incredibly relaxing massages. The private beach was a dream, and the stunning sunsets made our stay unforgettable. A serene spot to unwind and soak up the coastal charm."
