"It's my first time at this Caravan Park. Won't come back and will not recommend it to anyone. We chose this location because of the lake; we assumed that the kayaks that were hanging on a stand (dirty with spider webs) would be available for hire. we asked the lady in the office, and we were told that the following day it would be available (mind you, it is the pick time of the holiday, 24/12!!!), but nothing was available, and we ended up not using the lake. That was a huge disappointment. The owner of the caravan park (can't remember her name - she is a blond lady, looks in her 50's) was very lazy, making you feel that everything is an effort. It seems like the owners don't care about anything. The swimming pool was a disgrace!! dirty!! couldn't swim in it without swallowing bugs and leaves... On the door of the office, there were hours of opening. We had to go around the caravan park to look for the owner (when the office was supposed to be staffed), as we needed the pull table balls. Eventually, we found the lazy owner who was PARTING AT THE HALL AND BUSY!! She didn't even apologies she wasn't in the office. So disrespectful!! Taking a high price for Zero service. Next time in the Halls gap, definitely go to the Big 4. It's much better!"

Magdala Motor Lodge & Lakeside Restaurant

"I took a friend to the Magdala Motor Lodge to check in Saturday night, and the receptionist effectively implied that the friend was a prost*****. The receptionist then repeatedly asked me if I had taken “a woman” there four months ago, saying that he remembered me, and implying that I was involved in something shameful. My friend is not a prost*****, and I have literally never been to the Magdala Motor Lodge before. (I have lived in the town for a year and he might have recognised me from the town.) Apparently they think it is fine to effectively defame customers and imply things that false about their customers. I have never experienced such incompetent and arrogant customer service in a hotel/motel before."

"We arrived on Monday 4th and from the outset the experience was great. Our spa cabin was very spacious and comfortable and had all of the facilties required for a relaxing getaway. The wildlife in the area on our front door step (kangaroos, kookuburras, ducks) each afternoon made it and even more memorable experience. Looking forward to returning. "

"Very nice cottage in a central area of Grampians, good to gravitate around, or even start hiking from there like we did (to nearby Venus baths). Lots of kangaroos and cuckatoos around, ideal for nature lovers. The owners were very helpful. I would definitely come again."

"We stayed in 2 bedroom cabin in October 2024, its a very well located place in Halls Gap, not too far from the center of the town but still secluded and private. lots of wild life and greenery in surrounding with views of grampians all around. Reasonably priced as well."
