"We arived at check around 16:00 No one told us the hotel is going trough renovations before handing us the keys to our room (nor anyone told us this at the time of resrvation. The noise was imposible. We couldnt stay in our room even for 10 minutes as we couldnt hear eqch other speaking , let alone have our baby girl go to sleep. The menagment said theres nothing they can do and every time they told us 10 minutes the noise will be over. The noise was not over for 2 hours even tho every time they said 10 minutes. The rooms themselves were dirty and it looked like they were not properly cleaned in like a month. The only clean looking places were the towels and sheets. The reception manager screamed at a couple that was demanding their money back , and he wouldnt return the money unless they signed a document stating they cant sue the hotel. If i didnt have a month old baby i would have get my things and drive the 6 hours home back. Never again getting into any Fatal hotels. Thanks."

📍 Massada D.N. Yam Hamelah, Dead Sea Region

"We are a family of 4, stayed at this place in August 2023. The place is clean and cozy, mattresses are pretty hard. The food was good. They have a faucet to fill up bottles with drinking water. It's right at the foot of the Massada National park.."

"Air conditioner is weak and not managing to cool down the tiny room in the summer heat of Israel. It feels like sauna. There is also no cold water. You must shower in a boiling shower!!! Toilet is making noise when water refills. The room feels like a small army tent. No breeze at all!!! Last place you want to find yourself in in the Dead Sea in summer."

Oasis Spa Club Dead Sea Hotel - 18 Years Plus ★★★★
"A beautiful façade and park area! The breakfasts were delicious and varied, but the hummus wasn't fresh. Everything about the hotel is old, including the walls and furniture. The room we were initially offered had shabby nightstands, sagging mattresses, and poorly renovated rooms. We were quickly offered an upgrade after our complaints. However, in the new room, the bathroom doors were dirty, the curtains had holes, the closet was covered in dust and sawdust, and the closet doors barely opened. The hallway walls on the floor needed repair and there was an unpleasant odor. The hotel couldn't provide a toothbrush, even after we asked. The saltwater pool and large hammam were nice, but the dry sauna wasn't working. The staff didn't speak Hebrew or English. The hotel ended up with no stars, even though the app indicated it had 4 stars."

Leonardo Club Hotel Dead Sea - All Inclusive ★★★★
"This is literally a roach motel (2 at front desk upon check in). Booked for a quick night based on reviews it’s a whatever decent hotel. It is NOT anywhere near decent. It’s DISGUSTING. Checking in was a nightmare, took 40 minutes just to get the room key , with scowling, rude employees. No towels in the room, had to come back down to get them. The room was filthy. Stains all over the windows and any surface that you can touch was stained in filthy, oily fingerprints. The manager is rude and unprofessional, lazy staff and it’s hard to believe this place is in business."

HI - Massada Hostel ★★★
"This felt more like a hotel but without an extortionate price tag. The building, while not beautiful from the outside, is well built and maintained. The bus dropped us off a few metres away and it was HOT in that bit of desert. The location was great - a very short walk to the base of Masada, which we and many others climbed at 5:00 am to watch the sunrise. Good bus services connected us to Ein Bokek (best Dead Sea beach and resort), Ein Gedi and onwards to Jerusalem, Beersheba, etc. We had a large room with a double bed and two bunk beds, and our children had the same, configured as two singles and two bunks. There was a well-designed wash room with twin basins, a shower and toilet cubicles, loads of storage, TV and fridge. There was efficient air conditioning, wifi and a general feeling of comfort and space. There was a supervised outdoor swimming pool, partly in the shade, which was a lovely way to cool off. Various other facilities such as a children's playground, synagogue and various conference halls and private dining spaces. We opted for half board, which was a buffet breakfast and buffet dinner. There was a wide range of fresh and delicious food, and, all-in-all this was great value. Were I to have any criticisms it was the excessive use of disposable cups, air conditioning which stayed on all the time and doors which were left open, wasting further energy. No hesitation in recommending this as a great place to stay or even just for breakfast after the 5:00 am climb. "

Aloni - Guest House Dead Sea ★★★
"Comfortable, very clean and practical accommodations. The hot stove outside helps with cooking simple meals. If staying for longer than 2 nights, I recommend bringing groceryies with you since the gas station stores in the area are more expensive. During our stay, late February, the war with Iran started. Eyal, the person that manages the place, was incredibly helpful. He made sure that we were always safe and taken care of. Since things were so uncertain and travel was somewhat dangerous because of the war, we had to stay longer than planned. Eyal showed genuine concern for my husband and I, and arranged with the owners to get us a free night stay and have a reduced rate after that. Everything Eyal did helped relieve our anxiety. An absolute gem of a person. The property managers are fortunate to have him. In a nut shell, it is a safe, clean, comfortable and peaceful place and Eyal takes very good care of the property and its guests. Don't hesitate to book this place."

"It was an overall good, even excellent experience, except for supper. There a great quantity of different foods, but the QUALITY of the food was totally lacking. This was Herods. We were expecting a wonderful culinary experience, but instead we got ordinary, even let's say disappointing. The food was simply NOT TASTY. All the meat dishes were overcooked and dry. All in all, it was NOT worth the 400 shekels that we had to pay for this not-tasty dinner."
