Hotels in Telford

"Where to begin with this one? Firstly i requested to cancel as i was coming down with COVID like symptoms. Ramada Telford seem to not mind that though, so that request was denied (no offer of another stay, or partial refund, nothing). Felt better day of, and decided to travel. On check-in (nor on the website, photo attached) i wasn't told anything about the pool being out of service. Turns out it was. No offer of a full or partial refund. Nothing. Luckily, Trip have stepped in with a good will gesture. Spoke to some people (named below) by email afterwards and basically told ”nothing they can do” and ”it's trip's fault” that the website didn't reflect that their pool had been out of action since DECEMBER. Awful customer service, facilities not available. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Specifically bad service via email: Lis Frost & Richard Bowen"

"Clean, comfortable hotel in a very good location for the train and shopping centre. A small but reasonable gym and a bonus to have the swimming/sauna facilities although the pool and jacuzzi were a little on the small side so often quite full. Staff were friendly and helpful when approached. Parking charges seemed a little expensive which was a bit of a put-off for driving there and the walk-in shower wasn’t great as water got all over the floor because the glass piece wasn’t really long enough to contain the water. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would stay there again if in the area."

"Hotel and room where clean, friendly staff, Breakfast was ok, nothing special. The bed was a little hard for my liking and the room was very hot. The location is ideal for access to the International centre."

"This travelodge is in a great location within the city center and with the vicinity of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It is next to a great shopping area and there is lake to the back of the travelodge. There is no restaurant on site but you can eat nearby with a discounted rate."

"This is an old Holiday Inn. During my stay, the hotel was under renovation. Most of the facilities in the room have been replaced and the wall paint has been refurbished. The breakfast is quite good, an authentic English breakfast."

"Stayed here for a 50th birthday celebration locally and so glad we did, the room was wonderfully located with beautiful views over Dale-End park and the river Severn. It was booked room only due to commitments so couldn’t comment on the food but the staff were very friendly and helpful and would highly recommend this hotel."
