Hotels near Shitila Devi Temple, Thane

We had a wonderful stay at The Fern Residency Mira Road. The highlight was definitely the staff — they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated that housekeeping was available frequently if required. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a great Indian selection and a few Western options as well. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get transport into the city. Overall, it was excellent value for money and we would happily stay again!

Poor noise isolation between the rooms. Neighbours room was blaring music and singing late into the night. First call to Reception resulted in no action being taken. Second call 15 min later made with an irate tone resulted in staff visiting and the noise being reduced. During check out, reception tried to get the Manager to come and apologize, but Manager asked instead how much the customer paid for the room and declined to come out, instead leaving reception to respond to complaints. Pathetic and unsympathetic behavior by the Manager.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It's very new and therefore incredibly clean, with no musty smell at all. The breakfast was a bit simple, but acceptable. Overall, it's good.

The hotel was alright but I think for the price, it should have provided more. The rooms are ok but not great. I might try another hotel the next round. The views are not bad if you stay on a high floor.

Location is good and on main road. Hotel cleanliness is better than all nearby hotels. Food is also amazing as it's the same Shikara Hotel staff.

Cleanliness: The room was clean, not spotless but is a good stay Service: Staff was friendly at front desk Comfort: Bed was comfortable. Location: Convenient to transport and food area Breakfast : Mostly local food. As foreigner, preferably fried noodles or rice will be great.

Hotel could be easily located and situated opposite d-mart, so easy to find, but hotel has no parking space. Rooms were small and congested, quite tight-spaced for a couple, including the bathrooms. Only one room we booked had a table to have food inside the room while the other one did not. Hot water not available in the bathroom. Rooms were not provided with dental kits or hand towels, although when asked for it we were provided the same. However, staff was quite helpful and well mannered throughout the stay. Breakfast spread was average with not many options for nonveg, but the items changed on a daily basis so variety was good. Thankfully, outside food is allowed. No amenities for games or other indoor activities such as swimming pool.

Overall, I highly recommend Hotel The Monarch for anyone looking for a luxurious and stress-free stay. The combination of exceptional food, prime location, top-tier amenities, and outstanding service makes it a fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Liked… 1. Proximity to Kalyan Junction Station (few minutes walk) 2. Once inside (lift to 3rd floor) the reception area etc was fine. Didn’t like: 1. Access is shocking - ***** a rough road and down a less than salubrious side street. See photos. 2. Would have been nice to be provided with some drinking water 3. Shower area not spotlessly clean. Hair and scum on the grill over the drain 4. Only a blanket was provided on the bed (aside of bottom sheet and pillows). Can’t imagine this is washed between guests. Asked for a top sheet (so had a “barrier” between body and blanket) but nothing forthcoming. 5. For the quality of accommodation it felt overpriced.

The hotel was pretty decent located at a nice location. The rooms were spacious and the views from the room were mesmerizing!
